This was my second time in Los Cabos and the first time staying at the Westin Los Cabos. I was traveling with my two adult sons and we had booked a three bedroom villa for the stay. My wife and I are Marriott Vacation Club owners and we were pleased to find there were some pleasant benefits for MVC owners. Sebastian greeted us at our car and escorted us to the owner’s check in desk. He checked us in and gave us a great overview of the resort. He then took us across the lobby and introduced us to Maria, our assigned concierge for the week. Maria had contacted me prior to our arrival to offer transportation options and activity and dining recommendations, so it was nice to have a face to put with the name. She gave us a run down of what was happening at the resort that week and walked us through some of the owner’s benefits, including 20% off all food, with the exception of specialty meals like Steak Night and Mexican Night. Sebastian let us know that our room was not ready yet - not a surprise since a lot of flights arrive in Los Cabos in the early afternoon and check-in is not until 4:00. He gave us directions to the sports bar and pool and welcomed us to hang out there until our room was ready. He let us know they would call us once the room was ready. We decided to hang out on the patio outside of the sports bar. We got a call right at 4:00 letting us know our room was ready. A bell man met us at the sports bar and escorted us up to our room where our bags had already been delivered. During the week we split our time between hanging out at the pool and exploring Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. We had breakfast each morning at Cocina Cesara and a couple of dinners at the sports bar (highly recommend the Tacos al Pastor and my sons loved the chicken enchiladas). The service was always great. I especially want to recognize Fernando and Ricardo at the sports bar and Maritza at breakfast. We did the Mexican Night and enjoyed how good the food and entertainment was. My sons said it was their favorite night of our stay. Leo was our waiter and he was great. I really appreciate how well run and situated the pool area was. Even though the beach is not swimmable, it was nice having the pool where we could see the waves crashing onto the beach. Many resorts push their adult only pool somewhere to the side of the property. Here, it is the first one you come to in the pool complex and it has a nice swim up bar. Almost every resort and cruise ship in the world is plagued by people who come out early in the morning to reserve lounge chairs, only to disappear and not return until afternoon. The Westin seems to do a good job of managing this with their pool towel card system. They give you a card for each member of your party when you check in. You exchange the card for a towel at the pool. When you are done, you turn in your towel and get a card back. If a towel sits on a lounger unused for 45+ minutes, it gets picked up and returned to the towel booth. I imagine getting another card without a towel requires some level of begging and apology. Overall, we had a great week. We found the food and service to be great, and I am looking forward to coming back with my wife.

“Westin Luxury Villa’s in Los Cabo’s”

The resort was very nice as well as all the staff. They had 2 workout rooms and several pool areas. They had 3 restaurants that were open and one that was being remodeled overlooking the ocean. This was my third visit and will be visiting annually.
