Awesome staff so helpful and friendly making all kinds of accommodations necessary to fit our needs. A special shout out to Alberto the bell hop he took care of all of transportation needs and going extra mile for not just getting our luggage to the room but taking care of our extra needs while there. Also to the front desk team in the complicated different moves we needed when it came to switching rooms and expedite service.

“All is well that ends well!”

A 3 month stay. It is a good break from winter. The shelter-in-place was well managed by staff. Unplanned but fabulous care- family member does mountain biking he wiped out into bushes and Good Samaritans with a truck brought he and bike back 20 miles to PV where his shattered hip was replaced at Hospiten. After 6 weeks he is ready to bike again.

“Great Hotel after TIme share sharks”

Third year in a row staying here for multiple weeks. Third year in a row staying here for multiple weeks. Rough start with lady time share lying about not giving us an ocean view because the resort was full, even though the numbers were closer to 40% capacity because of Cartel take down 1 week earlier. We enjoy the Beach and Pool here. The location is great for the Marina area and associated variety of restaurants. We have gotten to know several owners we hang out with daily on the beach which is fun. Many staff have left because of new ownership and likely some because of the lying time share people. We found staff overall were friendly but less happy. We would like to return if opportunity arises.

“Only issue is with Reservation System”

We had a lovely 3 week vacation at Club Regina in Marina Vallarta. We liked having a convenience store (OXXO) only a 5 minute walk away. And the marina restaurants and stores are not far to walk to. The Soriana Grocery Store is about a 40 minute walk. The beachfront at Club Regina is protected so the waves aren't as rough as beaches in the Hotel Zone. The pools are kept at a warm temperature and very beautiful and clean. I loved the daily aquafit. Each activity person lead the aquafit a bit differently so it didn't get boring. We were very disappointed that there was no Happy Hour around the pool or in the cafe. The only Happy Hour was at the dining restaurant and it was an hour after sunset. We like to have a cocktail to watch the sunset. I think a lot of business is lost when there is no Happy Hour. We like the rooms with ocean views but at one point we were given a room on the ground level with grass and trees and sewage containers. The smell was terrible even with doors closed. We are Raintree members but we were unable to get a two bedroom unit even when we booked 9 months in advance. It was easier to get our desired room through RCI. Some of the rooms were renovated and were nicely done. We liked the night light around the bathroom mirror and the new chairs on the lanais. However some rooms still had old uncomfortable chairs which should be replaced. We were there when there was an uprising in Puerto Vallarta. Some roads were closed so the afternoon staff were unable to get to work. The other staff had to do a double shift and did it with smiling faces even though they were exhausted. Thank you for taking such good care of your guests! We - and many others - had an issue with the reservation system. I handprinted a letter and took it down to reception to give to the manager. Then I emailed the same concerns to Raintree as well as emailing a letter directly to the manager. These attempts at communication were never acknowledged.
