We just spent a week at Atelier celebrating my husbands birthday. It was one of the best vacations we’ve ever had! The service, food, property and location were amazing. We stayed in an inspira ocean view swim up room in building one and we absolutely loved the room, the privacy and especially the view of the golf course, ocean and Isla Mujeres. Our butlers Alberto and Lazaro were absolutely wonderful. They helped us prepare ahead of time with room decorations, reservations, special surprises, stocking our bar and snacks and even went as far as getting me some Mexican chips that were not provided in the property. 100% kudos to both of them for their service and attention to detail. The food was outstanding compared to other resorts we’ve stayed at in Mexico with a huge highlight to Maria Dolores where we celebrated my husbands birthday (they received their 3rd Michelin Star recognition the night we had dinner there) the food and service was out of this world especially the caviar churros - I will dream about them. Rober and Elizabeth from El Cielo were so great and such a pleasure to talk to. Donovan and Luis from Mercado 19 were so great and we requested their section every morning we had breakfast there. We fell in love with the rooftop pool mostly bc of the views and the service. Concepcion and Javier took such great care of us and we never needed for anything. We also ate at Suspiro, Cilento, Los Abrazos, Kopai and Takeshi during our stay and even though all were great, Cilento was our favorite- the short rib and spaghetti in Parmesan wheel were spectacular that we went back and had the same meal twice. We highly recommend the tequila master class with Sergio. We learned so much about tequila and mezcal and how to properly drink it. Sergio was fantastic!!! We also made some pretty cool friends during our stay which made the trip even better! Overall it was such an amazing experience that we became members and can not wait to go back! We highly recommend this property. You won’t be disappointed!!!!

My wife, 16 year old daughter and I have just returned from a 10 night stay at Atelier, Playa Mujeres. Wow, what an amazing experience! We’re were due to holiday in Abu Dhabi, but the holiday was cancelled three weeks prior. Having read/viewed reviews on YouTube, trip advisor, Facebook, instagram etc, we chose Atelier. One of the deciding factors was the age 16+ policy, so could accommodate our daughter whilst still being ‘adult only’. On arrival, we were greeted by welcoming, friendly staff, a theme that continued throughout our stay, and handed cold towels and champagne whilst checking in. The resort is large, consisting of three main buildings. It is surrounded by lush forestry and a golf course which can only be described as a tropical paradise. It is modern in design and spotlessly clean. We became familiar with the resort layout after the first day, so it was easy to navigate to the different pools, restaurants, bars etc. We stayed in a standard double room in building 2, which was spacious and well equipped. It included a minibar (restocked daily with lagers and a selection of soft drinks and snacks), nespresso machine, iron, robes, slippers, TV, balcony with sea view. The bathroom had a large shower cubicle, a separate free standing bath, and was stocked with Molten Brown products, vanity kits, shower caps etc. There are two main pools for non-Inspira guests. We tended to use the ‘activity’ pool, closest to the beach. Being early risers, we always had our pick of sun-beds. That said, I never witnessed a lack of beds for those coming down to the pool later in the day. Lazy days around the pool made the holiday for us. The vibe was mostly chilled but livened up during activities. We met some lovely people in and around the pool. Everybody was so friendly and always made time to talk. Our server most days was the truly wonderful Damaris. She was so attentive and always made the extra effort to make us feel like VIPs. A good programme of activities and entertainment happened daily. These included aqua aerobics, aqua strong (exercising on floating boards) and pool bikes (spinning bikes in the water), water volleyball, aqua dance, bingo, music trivia amongst others. There is a rooftop pool, primarily for Inspira members. However, non-Inspira quests can use it from 6pm. This offered beautiful views of the surrounding areas from the infinity pool. The beach was large with lovely white sand and turquoise water. Sun-beds were plentiful and were waiter/waitress served. There was minimal sargassum throughout our stay, but staff work tirelessly to clear what was there. In the distance, you can see the island of Isla Mujeres. Food and drinks - Now I understand this is completely subjective, but we were very impressed. In our opinion, and having previously stayed many Secrets resorts in Mexico, the food was the best we’ve experienced at an all inclusive. There are a plethora of restaurants, bars and coffee shops to choose from. We ate each morning at El Suspiro, an à la carte outdoor restaurant, but there were also two buffet restaurants available. Special mentions to the staff at El Suspiro, Armando, Herberth, Humberto, Paco, Wendy and Javier. All were great and ensured we started the day in the best possible way. A number of à la carte restaurants were available for lunch, but we mainly ordered lunch to eat poolside on our sun-beds. In addition, a pop up tent served daily specials and a taco carte also featured daily near the lobby. Our stay was for ten nights so we were able to alternate between restaurants for dinner. You are required to make reservations for dinner via an app, accessible on your phone or by one of the iPads located in communal areas. This proved to be hassle free. Whilst it does require you to think ahead about what and when you might want to eat a couple of days in advance, it does eliminate the risk of having to wait for a table (which we have experienced at other resorts). Takeshi (Asian) was our favourite, but all were very nice with comprehensive menus. Others included El Suspiro (seafood), Cilento (Italian), Los Abrazos (Steakhouse), Kopai (Japanese), Calle de Luna (Mediterranean). We did not visit Mercado 19 as it was closed during our stay, or Maria Dolores, the Michelin starred restaurant which incurs an extra charge for non-Inspira guests. Activity Team These guys are great fun. They operate a good selection of activities to get involved with. I’ve mentioned above those based around the pool, but the schedule continues into the evening with themed nights, karaoke, casino, live shows, live music etc. Special mentions for Jonathan, Carlos, Elaine, Julio and Andrea (sorry if I’ve missed anybody!) We were fortunate enough to be there whilst England played Mexico in the World Cup. The hotel made a real effort for this event. A mariachi band provided pre-match entertainment which added to the great atmosphere. The experience of watching the game with fellow Brits, Mexicans and Americans is one I will never forget. Inspira As mentioned earlier, we were not part of the Inspira package. It is effectively club level either through joining the membership scheme or paying a significant premium. I cannot comment fully on this, but understand it provides upgrades including full access to the rooftop pool, butler service, larger rooms, complimentary golf etc. However I can say that we never felt like we missed out at all and appear to have been given the same wonderful service throughout our stay. Negatives I really am nit picking here, but if I had to say something negative, it would have been nicer if the pools were slightly cooler, and we did experience some noisiness from our room late at night. This may have been due to room location being close to the nightclub. In conclusion, this is a wonderful place, probably the best resort we have experienced. The staff are brilliant and cannot do enough for you, and the food was excellent. I cannot recommend Atelier highly enough, and hope to visit again in the future.

“Favorite place to vacation”

Aline and Martin are the best butlers at the resort, make the stay very easy and enjoyable. All the people at the pool made the trip very fun with their kindness, service and events. Guadalupe, Carlos, Elian, Julio , Johnathan and Andrea are the best!
