My family and I stayed at GR Solaris at the end of February, and it was a great trip. With our growing family—and other vacations usually being busy—it was nice to relax at an all-inclusive resort where everything, from food to fun, was right at our fingertips. I don’t write many reviews, but this property truly gave off vacation vibes with its warm and welcoming setup. We booked through Expedia and got a package that categorized us as VIP. It came with champagne in the room upon arrival and a few extra welcoming touches. The package also allowed us to book restaurant reservations through their app. The resort had several pools—two large general pools, a kids’ pool and play area with childcare staff, an adults-only section, and just a few steps down to the beach. There was a fitness gym, a health spa, evening entertainment shows, and daytime activities by the pool. The beds were excellent, and the property was very clean. The food, staff, childcare, and beverages were all great. I had just three minor negatives: 1. The timeshare staff (who might also be the concierge) kept inviting us for a special gift. When we went, we got a nice souvenir—a Cancun candle and a Mayan calendar plate. However, we had to sign for it, and then they started asking personal and too many questions that seemed aimed at leading to a timeshare pitch. We declined to answer further after a couple of questions but still received the special gift. 2. There seemed to be miscommunication with the Zai restaurant manager named Yamel and the front desk about app reservations as we booked our reservations through the app as they required and upon dinner check-in the manger claimed the reservation was for one person when I was able to show on my app that it was for six people. After Yamel the manager made us feel uncomfortable about the situation, we were easily then seated for six with plenty of available tables around us. 3. My wife and I booked for a couples massage and during my service I could tell that my massage therapist was on her phone texting during the session. At times she would massage with two hands on my back, and then it would become one-handed at a slower pace. It was obvious to me that she was texting with her other hand that I even looked up to and she smiled while putting her phone back into her pocket. Despite these small issues, it was an excellent stay, and we’d return. All the food and beverage staff was awesome but a few shout-outs to the amazing staff of names that I can remember: Restaurants: Alex Salas, Angel, Liz, Darvin, Maciel, Manuel, Olivia (Egg Station) Coffee Shop: Gloria Resort Entertainment: Rogza Kid’s Fun & Daycare: Lupita, Bel

“Amazing Resort, with Amazing Staff!”

We had some amazing staff at GR Solaris Cancun for our girls Senior Trip Mexico 🇲🇽 2026 to celebrate our seniors graduating high school! Abran when we first got there took awesome care of the girls all afternoon in the lobby bar! Alfredo the best bartender at swim up bar all week never stopped with the best service and attentiveness! The girls had plenty of fun giving him many new drink requests which he made fantastically with his own creative twist. Roldan with his flaming coffee and best waiter always making sure we had what we needed in the lobby bar in the evenings! Olivia in the Cafe with quickness and patience for me when I came in over and over for the bagel sandwiches to feed everyone in afternoons! Oliva and the best omlets for our breakfast everyday! Now for the best Roxy and Falcon best entertainment staff around! We were known as Wisconsin and they included us in everything ❤️! Such devoted and hard workers! I missed a picture with Roxy formally because she finally got a well deserved day off on Tuesday but around the resort she spends her time dancing and making bracelets for us among much more! Falcon oh the best and we will never forget! Hope to get back again to see you all! I highly recommend this resort it just is amazing! 2024 and 2026 the best! Will it be a tradition?

“Sweet & nice”

Even it’s not as huge area as other resorts nearby it gives us sense of peace & security, courteous staff & good food.

Rogza (Entertainment) and Francisco (Pool bar) were amazing. So was the evening lobby bartender. A found a few disappointments with the food options and lack of entertainment. Also the bars really need to open earlier.
