We have been coming to Marriott Cancun since it turned all inclusive. Every time we return it gets better and better. It’s great to see that they added more entertainment at night. Before everything ended real early, now the evening ends around 10:30. This is a great improvement. They have excellent activities during the day that we love to do. If you choose to just lay around you can do that also. The entertainment team is excellent. I do have a recommendation. They offer Pepsi light but no other diet soda. I hope they will put in a non caffeine light soda since some people don’t want the caffeine as well as having another diet soda so they can have a choice. Also if you want something special in food don’t be afraid to ask. They are very accommodating. We love mozzarella sticks. It was not on the menu and Somontha Prodo and Carlos both cooks at Champion Sports bar on different days made them for us. Now for some shout outs who made this trip exceptionally outstanding for us. We start off with Ulises. He made sure all our needs were met and if we needed anything he would make it happen. Gustavo from pizza at the pool. He always had a smile on his face and greeted us and if you wanted something different he would make it. Theresa from Casa Madre made me spicy Mexican rice and had tamales for me since it was not available in the lobby anymore. Now for bartenders Jasson and Enrique at the lobby bar. They made excellent drinks. If you wanted it made a certain way they were accommodating. Now Adro, Alexis, Roberto, Uzi, Valeria and Mikal from the entertainment team. Don’t miss the power jump class with Adro. Always a smile and gives you a great workout Alexis did the trampoline class in the water. He will get you moving. Roberta put on a great aqua fitness class that you don’t want to miss. Now Carlos from the lazy river. He really knows his job. He knows exactly how to put people on the tubes safe and easy. Some people do not have that skill like Carlos. We love our second home and family and can’t wait to return. Thank you all. ❤️❤️❤️

“Back for more”

This was our second time at the resort. We always have a great time. Our daughter loved the kids camp. The counselors were great. Gabby, Maria and Eden (sp?) were great. This was our second time at the resort. We always have a great time. Our daughter loved the kids camp. The counselors were great. Gabby, Maria and Eden (sp?) were great. We had a chance to hang out at the adults bar. Guillermo and Lizandro were super friendly and remembered our drinks. Abrahim and Caesar at the main pool bar were very patient with all of the kids and adults. Our favorite restaurant was the Cevicheria. Quick, fresh bites. Delphine serves up some tasty meals. Casa Madre was my favorite for breakfast. Nightly entertainment was a blast. Always something to do before bedtime. We are sure to be back next year

“Extremely overpriced all inclusive resort in the hotel zone. You have many options at this price point.”

First time staying at a Marriott all inclusive resort. Will not stay again unless they make tangible improvements. They have some work to do both in terms of food quality, variety and activities. For over $800 CAD / night, we expect a lot more. We stayed at the Royalton (not part of the autograph collection) and they blew Marriott away. There is also no spa onsite.

This was our first trip to Mexico, and overall, it was underwhelming. The rooms mostly faced the water, which was nice, but the décor was very plain. It was also difficult to keep the room stocked with basics like water and snacks—we had to repeatedly call the front desk for refills. Dining was average at best. The à la carte restaurants were just okay, with food that was mediocre overall. Our favorite spot was Moe’s, where we enjoyed the barbecue chicken sandwiches and milkshakes. Be aware that if you’re expecting steak with your meals, there are extra charges. The beach was essentially unusable due to heavy seaweed, and very few people spent time there. The pools, however, were enjoyable, and the swim-up bars were a highlight. The event staff were excellent—friendly and engaging—but many other staff members were not very welcoming and often didn’t acknowledge guests, which was disappointing. Having previously traveled to Cuba, where hospitality was exceptional, we expected a similar experience in Mexico but did not find it here. If you’re looking for a resort with plenty of activities, this is not the place. Outside of what the event staff organize, there is very little to do. Prices throughout the resort were extremely high. Even small items, like a bag of chips, were overpriced, and we chose not to purchase anything as a result. Overall, this resort did not meet our expectations, and we would not return.
