We had an incredible stay at Paradisus Cancun and would return in a heartbeat. The resort’s unique design and architecture immediately stood out, and the recent renovations are beautifully done—modern, classy, and thoughtfully integrated while still honoring the original style. While there are a few spots that show the resort’s age, the updates more than make up for it. We stayed in The Reserve, which was incredibly relaxing. It felt like a true retreat within the resort, and we had no trouble getting private cabanas, which made our time by the pool even more enjoyable. The common areas throughout the property are stunning, with gorgeous views everywhere you look. Service was exceptional across the board. Javier, our concierge, was outstanding and made sure every need was met with ease and care. The food truly exceeded our expectations. We were especially blown away by Kao—the service and quality there were top-notch. Mario, our server, was attentive and made the entire experience memorable. Capella was another highlight, where Edgar provided fantastic service and the meal was excellent. Honestly, every restaurant we visited delivered great food and kind, attentive service. All around, this was a wonderful experience. Beautiful setting, great food, and even better people. Highly recommend.

Had an amazing trip. Very friendly staff especially Jared Osorio! He helped with all our reservations at restaurants and activities. Helped us plan out our day and give us special attention on our anniversary. We will come back and hopefully see Jared again. Perfect

“Average Resort - Nothing Special”

My family and I stayed at the Paradisus for a family vacation. As soon as we arrived, we weren’t off to a great start. We requested two beds, but they insisted the only had a king size room available. Apparently they were doing this to a lot of guests when they arrived. After arguing for about 30 minutes, they accommodated us with a double bed room. As well as the other guests. I guess it’s common practice to argue with the guests when they arrive? I don’t see any other why they insisted they didn’t have any double bed rooms available when they clearly did. The pools were really nice, but some tiles were chipping off. Most disappointing about the resort was the food. It was average at best. The à la carte restaurants were not very good apart from the Blue Agave. One night we tried going to the Italian restaurant and were turned away saying they were overbooked, but the restaurant was about 70% empty. Not exaggerating. Also, you weren’t allowed to make reservations unless you were a member. Which meant the average guest would be stuck eating at the buffet every night. This is a terrible system in my opinion. Forces you to pay extra or settle for the bare minimum. The service overall was subpar. I believe they were understaffed for such a large resort. I know they just reopened in April but clearly they have not got down the routines yet as they were constant lineups everywhere. Nothing was labelled at the food stands or bathrooms. Looking for a bathroom is basically an Easter egg hunt, including which room is male or female. The resort itself was not air-conditioned, despite being enclosed, the elevators are basically small sweat boxes. To top off the resort, one of my family members found cockroaches in the shower on the last day. The resort did have a beautiful piano bar room and the bartenders were very nice as well. The resort needs to be better managed and better staffed and it could be a true 5 star resort. As it is right now, it is maybe 3.5–4 stars at best. I’ve been to about 7 different resorts in Cancun and the Paradisus ranks among the bottom 2. We will not be returning, but hopefully they can get their act together in the future.
