I would like to thank Casa Las Tortugas for an exceptional stay. The staff, from the front desk to the servers, were consistently welcoming and attentive, specially for Yasmin’s professionalism and care made our visit especially memorable! Thank you Yasmin, breakfast mornings were better with your service! The rooms were impeccably clean and beautifully designed, and I appreciated the thoughtful details, such as the absence of televisions and the convenient availability of water throughout the property. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning.

Definitively the best beachfront place to stay in Holbox. First of all direct access to the beach, while many other resorts have a road between them and the sea. Second thanks to its perfect location you have walking distance to everything, where many other resorts require a taxi for going into town for dinner etc. This meant we went out and tried different lunch places everyday instead of being stuck at the hotel. Great and helpful staff and wonderful breakfast in the restaurant or, if you prefer, on the beach. Extra plus is that the best cocktail bar on the island, Luma, is a part of the hotel just across the street. You simply put your pre-dinner Martinis on your room, convenient. Cons: Rooms have no mini-fridges, which is both unacceptable and surprising for a beach resort at this price level. Also no robe/slippers and no hand shower in the bathroom, only overhead shower - strange. Everything else is absolutely lovely about this beautiful oasis, though, and I will definitely stay here again.

¡Qué hotel tan hermoso! During our short stay in Holbox, this hotel was the highlight. Feel: organic, natural, modern, luxurious, clean (overall area is a cross between third world and island escape) Hospitality: warm and multiple languages spoken Food: available all day and served beachside, limited menu. Next door Luuma had amazing tapas. You can definitely observe an Italian influence in the offerings. Favorite dessert: Choco Blue (blue cheese and chocolate) or Pineapple Sous Vide. Yum. Beach: easily accessed, shaded cabanas (although claim the closest early), extended clear shallow waters with low waves, small shells and the finest sand we've experienced to date. Lovely and relaxing.

“Not an Adults Only Hotel”

Overall the property is very nice and in a good location on the doorstep to the town and our room was nicely appointed, though we had very little storage space - only a few hangers. Overall the property is very nice and in a good location on the doorstep to the town and our room was nicely appointed, though we had very little storage space - only a few hangers. We stayed for 8 nights and had to live out of our suitcases which is not at all ideal. One should be able to unpack for a weeks holiday. Breakfast was a nice affair and food quality very good, though after 8 mornings it became a little boring. Our biggest issue was the coffee - the pressed coffee was undrinkable and we had to order what they called "specialised coffee" of which you got "one free" - so we had to pay for our breakfast coffees, which at $600 a night is quite shocking and something we have ever encountered in all our years travelling. There are only 5 sun loungers by the pool, so be warned, especially on a windy day and looking for shelter from the beach. Service overall was very friendly though a little hap-hazard. The tipping culture has really reached this hotel and one server was particularly pushy about getting a 25% tip for lunch service. We found this very off-putting. Big shout out to Jazmin who was such a great person to deal with and always with a smile. We enjoyed the morning Yoga very much. Sleep quality was good but be careful if you book an ocean front room on the ground floor (as we did) as the noise from people, footsteps, loos flushing, furniture being moved both upstairs and beside us is loud. We were woken on a couple of nights to late revellers moving around upstairs. When I addressed this with reception I was advised that the persons had checked out - as if this was the problem solved ?! If you are expecting this to be an adult only hotel, then you will be disappointed. The hotel does not allow children under 13 stay in the hotel but they can dine in the hotels main restaurant, Mandarina. So, during our stay we had families / children / babies at breakfast, lunch, dinner, sundowners on the beach, running about outside the Spa whilst doing Yoga, around the pool and jumping around on the sun loungers in the evening. We book adults only hotels as we enjoy the peace. This was a really disappointing aspect of our stay.
