“Fairmont Mayakoba – An Exceptional Family Vacation”

Our stay at the Fairmont Mayakoba exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, the level of hospitality and attention to detail made us feel like valued guests, and it only got better throughout our stay. We chose to upgrade to a Casita, and it was absolutely worth it. The extra space, privacy, and beautiful setting made our vacation even more relaxing. The true highlight of our trip, however, was the incredible service from our butlers, Luis and Sofia. They were exceptional from start to finish, anticipating our needs, handling every detail, and making outstanding recommendations that truly elevated our experience. Nothing ever felt like too much to ask. One small but memorable example: when we realized we had forgotten a travel kit to inflate a football, Luis tracked one down, purchased it for us, and had it waiting so our family could enjoy time together on the beach. It’s those thoughtful touches that separate great service from unforgettable service. We also want to recognize Oliver, one of the bellmen, who was incredibly friendly, helpful, and consistently went above and beyond. Every interaction with him made us feel welcomed and genuinely cared for. We rented a pool cabana for a day, and it was one of the best decisions we made. The service was outstanding, and it created the perfect place to relax as a family. Although we visited during peak sargassum season, we were impressed by how tirelessly the resort staff worked to keep the beach clean. Their constant effort made the beach enjoyable despite conditions that were completely outside their control. The dining was another highlight. La Laguna became our favorite spot for breakfast and lunch, with consistently delicious food and excellent service. Dinner at Tauro was outstanding—both the food and service were exceptional. One of our favorite memories was taking the boat ride arranged by Luis to Saffron for dinner. The ride through the Mayakoba waterways at sunset made the evening feel truly special, and the food exceeded our expectations. Every member of the Fairmont Mayakoba team made us feel welcomed, but Luis, Sofia, and Oliver deserve special recognition for making our vacation one we’ll remember for years to come. If you’re considering staying here, don’t hesitate—and if you have the opportunity to stay in a Casita, we highly recommend the upgrade. We can’t wait to return.
