When I say I have no words.. I really mean it. It’s been 2 days since we got back and I’m still trying to figure it out. The best I can do is try to get anyone reading this to understand that this place might be the closest thing to Heaven on Earth. It’s almost as if you enter another timeline where everything is as God intended it to be.. a life of pure peace & love. Every single thing at this resort was done with intention. As a restaurant owner, attention to detail is my higher calling and this place still blew me away. From the mind-blowing hospitality all the way down to the cutlery, it all just made sense. Each and every person we came in contact with brought the most genuine, kind, and thoughtful energy I have ever witnessed in my entire life. To start, Jonathan handled every question I had and booked our stay months in advance so that I could truly surprise my girlfriend for our 5 Year anniversary. When he signs his email with “At your disposal,” he means it and I don’t say that lightly. He not only arranged our private driver to pick us up from the airport, but also had a heart bouquet of roses ready in the room upon arrival. Then, our Nomadic guides Karen & Kassandra made sure that we were taken care of throughout the day and sent beautiful messages to remind us of the importance of being present while we were there. Our healing guides Erika & Geronima blessed us with the most beautiful couple’s ritual surrounded by our private cenotes amongst the ancestors — highly recommend. Our breath work and soundbath healer Roxsi made sure we got the true experience by releasing all that was no longer meant for us and letting go of who we were before we got there. Angel, the in house trainer full of calisthenic knowledge led us through incredible workouts by the beach to help keep our body’s aligned during our stay. Lastly, there really are too many to name, but I wanted to make sure these incredible souls know how grateful we are for their love during our stay: Jorge our tour guide / driver, Elizabeth at Plantissa, Sergio at Charly’s Vegan Tacos, Raul at Mar de Olivo, Angel and Fernando at Su Casa. Without you all, our experience wouldn’t have been what it was. The level of kindness you all displayed was unmatched and more than words can describe. As for the food, we were simply blown away. Being able to go to ANY place during the day (or order 24/7 room service) and get the best plant based food/desserts we have ever had in our entire life is one of the coolest things we’ve ever experienced. That on top of all drinks being non-alcoholic (unless requested) is what sober vegan’s dreams are made of. Being Italian (with high standards), Mar de Olivo delivered the best bronze-dye cut al dente pasta that I could have ever asked for. Everything about Plantissa was exceptional. The croissants, hemp power seed balls, quiche, protein waffles, crunchy kale salad, the list goes on and on — the food was so clean that I may have eaten my entire body weight in croissants and still didn’t gain a pound. Our suite — They upgraded us to a more private 3rd floor room with a balcony ocean view and let me just say, it did not disappoint. A bath tub so big you could lay down completely and not touch the sides of this thing. Comfortable bed, couch, pillows (very important to me), towels and ample closet space. The fact that they not only cleaned once, but then came in again while we were at dinner to “turn down” the room, put water bottles by our bed, and do one last sweep before bed was incredible. The location — Planting a resort like this in the middle of the jungle was no easy feat (they even left trees where they belong in the middle of the paths) and then to do all this sustainably and eco friendly.. THIS IS WHAT I MEAN WHEN I SAY THEY THOUGHT OF EVERYTHING. The peace & quiet, bicycles, yoga, Bonsai Tree garden, late night fire pit DJ & sax player (playing Rufus du Sol), the private beach huts with food & beverage service.. I know I said I have no words, but this is exactly my point. This place is just magical. Thank you for making our dreams come true.

It is a bit pricey but If you are looking for an experience not just a vacation. This is the place. Roxy was amazing as a yoga instructor and morning yoga was my favorite part of the day!

Our second trip to Palmaia was somehow even better than the first!! My husband Sam and I got engaged here in 2024, and came back for our honeymoon this April because we just loved the experience so much. Beyond the INCREDIBLE vegan food, the breathtaking hotel and beach amenities, what really sets Palmaia apart is the fantastic service. From the very moment you arrive, the staff really does make you feel so “at home” and cared for down to the last detail. Our fantastic nomadic guides Karen and Esteban made us feel so catered to and helped us with daily guidance on what to do. Some of our favorite parts of the trip were the mixology class and mezcal tasting with Arge, Dafne, and Enrique (who made sure our drinks were never even close to empty!) Their friendly and thoughtful service allowed us to have such a fantastic and relaxing experience at the Eolo Beach Club. And then there was the DJ, Andrew! Who had us dancing through our whole trip 💃 When we’d spend time on the beach, Danny was on it quickly when it came to ordering drinks and snacks!! The beach set up is so comfortable and the service- again, fantastic. Another highlight was the Spa- Whatever you do, do not- I repeat do not!- skip going to the spa at Palmaia. Lulu and Erica gave us the most amazing couples massage after a transformative, beautiful “love ritual.” It was our second time doing this ritual, and we will do it again next time in Palmaia, because it is SO unique and special. We left feeling so blessed and grateful to get to experience the Mayan traditions, the jungle environment and the exceptional service. Followed by a dip in the cenote and meditating in the steam lodge- this was our favorite day in Palmaia (which is hard to say because they were all so great!) Breakfast at Su Casa is another example of Palmaia's fantastic food, (try the bennys and the hotcakes!) but again, what really sticks out is the great service- especially from Luis and Blas. At Lek, we had more great service from Alphonso, Adrianna and the host Carlita (I may be misspelling her name but she was such a friendly face upon entering the restaurant each night!) We also had an awesome time for dinner at Olivio Del Mar with Samuel (and Blas again!) - just amazing, beyond our expectations type of service that makes you feel so at home and relaxed, like you’re in good hands because you are!! Take their food recommendations and you will not regret it!! We love taking photos and the staff was so happy to help us with enthusiasm which was very appreciated (especially Samuel) :) We LOVED getting golf carted around with again- amazing, friendly service- especially from Oscar and David. Golf carts were right on time to take us from our room to the restaurants, again making our time so relaxing and comfortable. And when we decided on having some late night snacks or drinks, the 24/7 room service was SUCH an awesome offering. No matter what time it was, Ariel showed up with a friendly face. I really can’t overstate how great the staff at Palmaia is. As vegans, we picked this place for the food offerings and the beautiful beach views. But what made us come back- and will make us come back many times in the future- is how kind, supportive, enthusiastic and exceptional the staff is.
