My husband and I stayed 8 days and over all it was cool but it depends on what you are looking for. THE GOOD... The view from all rooms was amazing (this is s small resort so all rooms face the beautiful ocean) The crash of the ocean--just beautiful to hear and see! The food was good and for the resort to only have 2 restaurants, the dinner restaurant only repeated the menu 2x's in 8 days. You will eat a lot of chicken, fish and some steak plates, but I think the taste was good for the most part. For lunch, you will get the same menu but it's no big deal--the food is good and they have a good variety for a lunch menu. The drinks were good--I only had a margarita and everyone I had was good! You wanna RELAX, well you will do that here--there's NO entertainment. All you can do is relax. The room was spacious--do NOT do an upgrade like we did, the only difference is the kitchen area--which ours was enormous! The other rooms had a smaller kitchen area, which would have suited us just fine. The staff were nice and helpful! I was able to get a massage on the deck--that was GREAT! Now the BAD... No gym! For us that was a huge deal--we assumed that all resorts had a gym. Luckily, we did improvise with jogging daily and walking after each meal. No coffee shop/ice cream shop--saved us a lot of calories, but it's still nice to have access to it. Bars--well there's only 1 main bar which is in the restaurant. I believe the restaurant closes at 10, so the last call may be at 10 or 10:30--you will NOT get wasted and hang out here. This place is a ghost town at 10. The workers have several jobs, so be patient especially with the food. There's no buffet--again, it saved us many calories, but it's still nice to have. All food is el la carte. No spa for those who like the spa--but the massage therapist can come to your room. Again, the resort is small--that can be viewed as good/bad depending on what you are looking for. We said that we would come here again--we just know we will not have all the amenities that we are used to.

Ok we travel 2 times a year for the last 10 years. Been to Mexico 4 times always a different resort. This is probably the lowest. In research I knew and was on with small and not much action. What sucks is you have to eat when its available or you are screwed. After 9:30 you have no option even if you were gone for an excursion. I thought oh no buffet, food will be hot/warm. Not the case. Dinner food was cold like it was made a few hours ago. The service was excellent at the pool. Our room had no remote for the TV, no hangers, no microwave. If you get a good deal, then ok. Based if previous trips its a 3 1/2 only because of the staff.

We arrived at the hotel with very high expectations. They advertise shared jacuzzis on the terrace and a small private pool in the rooms. They do have these amenities, but the jacuzzi water does not get hot and the water pressure is very low; it also takes more than an hour to fill. The small pool in the room cannot be filled: it didn’t have a pump, and there is no hot water. The room’s blackout blinds cannot be closed; they are broken and rusty. Water pressure in the sinks and shower is extremely low. Overall, the hotel’s maintenance is very poor: it looks old, and the maintenance staff seems unmotivated and not supported by management. The hotel concept is excellent; they just need to pay attention to these small comfort details to make the experience truly enjoyable. I would return, but only if I can be sure these issues have been fixed and guaranteed. Despite everything above, I requested a late check-out for two additional hours to coordinate with my return flight, and it was denied. The staff in general is very friendly; however, the management and front desk need to show more warmth and empathy toward guests, considering these known issues with the hotel.
