Nice small scale ‘Boutique’ Hotel (whatever that may mean nowadays). Friendly staff, decent rooms, (albeit on the small side), comfortable patio/balcony with furniture. Views are breathtaking, and so is the slog uphill from the parking lot. Luckily you can bring your car up near to the rooms for a few minutes to unload/load your luggage. Very nice pool area, though umbrellas are in short supply. This appears to be a common problem in Sardinia. If the frequent wind is a problem, please install more other -permanent- equipment that provides shade but is less prone to wind damage. Breakfast is an Italian style thing, so it’s like walking into a patisserie, but there is less to choose from for those who enjoy a more savoury breakfast. Come on Italy! What the heck has happened to freshly pressed juice? That horrible sugar water that passes for orange juice is letting the side down! Size of (bath)room is somewhat problematic for anyone over 15 stone, though everything seems to be uphill in this place, so any longer stay will soon fix that problem. We came to have dinner at the famous nearby (next door) restaurant Agriturismo La Colti. If you are considering this too: Don’t! Very nice atmosphere, but mediocre food and somewhat erratic service. You will probably be much better off having dinner at the hotel!

After reading all the excellent reviews, My husband and I eagerly anticipated a relaxing few days in luxurious and tranquil surroundings. The rooms at Moma are attractive, with a huge comfy bed, plentiful storage and a more than adequate bathroom. The veranda was large, with nice furniture and the most stunning view over the beautiful gardens and the amazing country side of Sardinia. However, it certainly lacked the finer finishing touches expected of a boutique hotel. No glasses in the room, just disposable plastic cups, a distinct lack of luxury toiletries, no milk for drinks, no telephone, no bar and a cupboard with no door knob. The wicker furniture on the terrace outside of the main building was broken, and had no cushions. The breakfast was adequate, but again, with a boutique title, I feel a choice of pastries and breads should be available, as well as a selection of fresh fruit and toast. The some what un-friendly waiters were hovering around the whole time and made us feel quite uncomfortable. We ate once in the restaurant in the evening, which was empty, bar 1 other couple. The meal was ok, but the atmosphere was nil, and the waiters started preparing tables for breakfast, whilst we ate. Daniele was polite and charming and the cleaner was bright and cheerful. We did not meet the proprietors. The location was fine, provided you have a car. The biggest problem was the almost constant barking and howling of dogs from a neighbouring residence which meant sitting outside to enjoy the lovely terrace and stunning countryside was impossible! We were told it only happens in September, but I have seen on other reviews left under the Moma Boutiques previous name (S'Olias Hotel) that previous guests have also experienced this in other months. We enjoyed our stay but would be reluctant to recommend it to friends, due to the distressing dog noise .
