We have visited twice as a family with 2 young children & absolutely loved it. I have just returned from a 4 day solo break & had an amazing time! As clean and well organised as ever. Super quick check in. Room was a good size & very clean. Still miss tea & coffee making facilities in the room! All the staff very helpful & friendly! Entertainment team are fab, so engaging with everyone, organising games and entertainment throughout the day, as well as super shows in the evening! Food lovely, with good variety! Shuttles to Albufeira and Vilamoura are cheap and on time. Both beautiful places to explore! The beach in albufeira is stunning & super clean! Can’t wait to return with family next year!

There are so many positive aspects about staying at the AP Adriana Beach Resort in Albufeira and for me, the most important one is the staff and the animators. I want to say a massive thank you to Monica at the reception, helpful, knowledgeable, intelligent (speaks so many languages), kind and patient. Massive thank you to the staff bar - Gabriel, Carla, Victoria, Yusuf, Veloso and the beautiful soul from Bali (forgot your name sorry) - always a smile on their face regardless of how many hours they've been on their feet. My biggest thank you goes to the animators, who work relentlessly to make the guests' stay unforgettable and entertaining. So Obrigada a Giovanni, Mus, Ibo, Vania, Mauricio, Jess, Carolina and Paola. Then the restaurant, a great variety of dishes and you have to be very difficult not to find something to eat. The fact that there is another quiet pool/restaurant - The Grill - is a plus if you don't have little ones. There is a gym - well equipped and clean. A spa if you want to chill even more. The bedrooms are nice and the resort is beautiful. This resort is located by the most beautiful beach of the Algarve (fact). If you take the path inside the resort, indicating the beach, it leads to a set of wooden stairs in the cliff that leads straight to the beach. Let me tell you that it is breathtaking. One of the most beautiful sight, but more so sunset I have ever seen. Even my teenage daughter said, 'OMG I'm gonna cry! Believe me, she needs a lot to be impressed! I loved the fact that it was remote and in the countryside with nothing around but a little local supermarket called Coviran and gorgeous scenary to go for a run. You are being warned that if you need to party hard and the buzz of the strip, this resort is not for you. Now onto the areas for improvement. Our hotel room was so humid and lacking ventilation that the bathroom ceiling was full of mould. Also, I had to ask for some rice in the kitchen as my phone wouldn't take the charge one morning due to humidity. The resort had a problem with their cleaning company (towels) so we had to phone the reception to get some on two different occasions. I don't think the premium package is worth it. All inclusive does the job just fine. If you are a Champagne lover like me, forget it or buy your own. They only had one miserable bottle of Moët at 93€. On my first lunch, I ate a bit of raw chicken. The chicken looked properly grilled on both sides but completely pink inside. Be cautious. The wifi works fine in the lobby or in the bedroom but not by the pool. Good to know if you have a teenager as they might spend their holiday in the room or in the lobby - sad I know. The spa needs to be renovated. The jacuzzi is cold, the steam room is creepily dark and the showers inside could do with a change. The sauna rooms (x2) are fine. The Grill restaurant for us was not worth a visit. It's meat after meat after meat without sequence or thoughts with a mix of banana thing... why? I believe my review to be honest and factual. All I would say is that I highly recommend this resort and I'll definitely come back! I am not sure how many AP resorts there are but the standard photos showed for this AP do not seem to fully correspond to the one we stayed in.

Had a fantastic stay at this place! The resort was stunning, well kept and close to the beach. Thank you to the entertainment team for making so much effort to get everyone involved with the wide range of activities. Muss, Ibo and the whole team were hilarious. DUCK! The singer Fabio was fantastic too. Food was lovely every course. Didn't go hungry. Great variety also. Resturant staff didn't stop and were very welcoming. My partner went for a massage and said that it was amazing. Spa staff helpful and polite. Drinks were spot on. Bar team were excellent. Shout out to Yussuf, Gabriel and the gang. Will defintely be returning. Only improvement for me would be access to WiFi at the pool. Thank you all 💛

“A gem of a holiday”

We had the best time as a family (2 adults and a 6 year old)! We will love to return one day! Here is an honest review with the positives and negatives: POSITIVES - We arrived near midnight and they had a packed lunch waiting which was so well received. Sandwiches and fruit and juice box. There was also 2 bottles of water in the room. -The food was delicious. Not the largest choice, but all so well cooked and tasty… the Turkey and Apricot was stunning! My son is a fussy eater, but he LOVED the pasta and pasta sauce, chips, salad and sometimes chicken nuggets were on offer. He loved the pizza at lunch too. - My son adored the holiday club! - We loved strolling the grounds and nearby beach. On the grounds there is a nature / workout trail which is so much fun! Theres also a volleyball court and bowls - which became a lovely ritual. - My son adored the mini disco in the evening. - All inclusive included non alcoholic beer. You have to ask for it (it’s not on display) but this was a bonus for me. - The staff worked hard to encourage adults to join in with daytime activities (archery, zumba etc). Live singer Fabio Dias was amazing - shame he started so earlier when there wasn’t a crowd. My son thinks he is the best singer ever, bless him. - Room was really nice and well located for us! NEGATIVES - Music in the outdoor space by the bar was full of swear words and drug references. Children should not be exposed to this! I was on holiday when I checked reviews on here and someone commented on the same thing.. they seemed to tone it down since then - so it did improve! - The Grill would have been nice but didn’t seem to cater for children so we gave it a miss. They should add a children’s menu to let families enjoy it there. - Glasses at lunch time are so small! Had to get up several times to make sure I stayed hydrated during the meal. - Outside of meals, the coffee machines were always breaking down / running out. More regular checks are needed! They don’t serve hot chocolate behind the bar so several times I had to go without. - Snacks were not the best… especially at breakfast time … just seemed to be cold leftovers. The burgers and hotdogs were great but only available from 3pm. Would be great to see some pizza or chips on there too. TOP TIPS - I didn’t realise until Day 2 that you can self serve fizzy drinks / soda. It’s located to the left of the entrance of the dining hall and saves on queuing up in the bar! - take a reusable bottle with you and fill up on water outside the bar (there are 3 water machines there). - take bug spray, me and my husband got bit (probably when on the trail / beach). - you can arrange a shuttle, but we actually walked to Vilamoura Marina.. it took about 45 mins each way but it was lovely and we enjoyed a nice drink there. - go for meals when the first open to get best choice of seats and food. - check out the sunset from Shark Finn Point.. along the cliffs of the beach (to the left). Stunning! So, all things considered, it was a wonderful trip…. Improvements could be made, but it was still a wonderful trip with some amazing memories. We will return one day!
