We've just had a week at this little gem. 18th -25th May. we are a semi retired couple just looking for a week in the sun to recharge. This place certainly hit the spot. It's not without it's flaws but they are minor. Very welcoming and helpful reception staff, we arrived in advance of our check in time but the room was ready so we were able to check in hours early. Perfectly adequate room very nice bathroom, excellent shower, balcony overlooking the entrance which was fine and quiet. Quality bedding and A/C which helped in the heat. Breakfast was spectacular, you are spoilt rotten with everything you can think of. We were B&B as previous reviews criticised the lunch and dinner options so we gave them a miss. There are a number of super restaurants a short walk away, from traditional Portuguese to Indian and a cracking Fish/lobster specialist up the road. (All on google maps if you do a bit of research) Outside the facilities were just what we were looking for big pool, plenty of sun beds, large area of gardens with lots of quiet areas and cosy sleeping/reading areas. Round the back of the hotel were some more very quiet seating and sleeping areas. We used them all at some time or other. Pool bar was very reasonable price wise as was the inside bar. The indoor swimming pool was a quiet haven away from everything, often empty but very inviting. We both had a massage and came out super chilled. We walked through Pine Cliff Resort next door a couple of times so priced it up, there is no comparison in our view, it's too big and far too expensive. Think it's reviews say the same. We had an issue with the A/C which was addressed and sorted within a hour, we also had a lingering smell in the room that we couldn't get rid of, we were told it could be as a result of a roof leak some time ago, not a major problem just worth a comment if the hotel reads this review. Courtesy room available if you have a late flight so you can shower and change before being picked up, which we excellent. All in all we really enjoyed our stay at the Falesia Hotel and were very pleased we did a bit of research about the area round the hotel, and trusted the reviews we felt were honest. Our stay at the Falésia Hotel - Adults Only has been absolutely fantastic and we genuinely cannot understand some of the negativity we heard from some guests around the hotel. It was actually quite shocking how some people seemed determined to complain and influence others’ experiences, because our stay has been the complete opposite. From the moment we arrived, the staff were attentive, friendly and always happy to help. The hotel itself is spotless, modern and beautifully maintained, with spacious rooms and lovely relaxing surroundings. The atmosphere for us was peaceful and enjoyable throughout. The food each evening offered plenty of choice, with something different every night, and breakfast was equally excellent. We honestly struggled to fault anything during our stay. It’s clear the staff work incredibly hard and they deserve recognition for it. We almost let some of the negative comments worry us before arriving, but thankfully our own experience proved them completely unfounded. We would happily return and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in the Algarve.

Just returned from a weeks holiday at the Falesia Hotel which we went to with friends. This was the third visit my wife and I have made to the hotel and after the 2 previous visits I would go as far to say it was the best 4* hotel we have ever stayed in. Unfortunately some things have changed for the worse. Pros are - hotel very clean, peaceful and relaxing, sunbeds plentiful , nice spa and gym facilities, reception staff welcoming and friendly. But the things that let the hotel down are mainly due to the food available at the evening meal. Food is very repetitive and the choices were limited. Quite often the same dishes were served 2-3 days in a row- totally unacceptable. I witnessed the chef being summoned to other guests who were not happy with the quality of the food. Felt sorry for the chef as its not his fault as he is just working with the budget he has. The previous 2 years we had been to the hotel the meals were excellent and think this is the elephant in the room that has to be addressed. When we arrived the pool had grime on the bottom and it took the pool attendant a couple of mornings to clean it up. I then noticed algae globules at the side of the pool which was reported to reception but no action was taken to clean it up. One of the lifts was not working for most of the week and this seems to be an ongoing problem at the hotel. Hotel appears to be under staffed with a lot of new recruits who are still under training. On the whole the majority of the staff were very freindly and a shout out to Carlos, Corrine, Caroline and Manny in the pool bar. On the whole its still a great hotel but the restaurant food urgently needs attention.
