This is a fantastic hotel. We stayed for 5 days in June 2026 - a girls trip. It’s spotlessly clean. The beds are changed every day and the room cleaned. The air conditioning is better than some 5 stars I’ve stayed in! Although it’s very near the hustle and bustle of it’s exceptionally quiet at night which huge very comfy beds. There is no cheesy entertainment and the whole hotel has a very classy vibe about it. The shower is the only thing I’d have preferred to be a wee bit more powerful but that’s being super picky. The breakfast was lovely with so much choice. The pool area is also spotless as is the pool and sun lounger areas. It’s not huge but perfectly sized and no sun bed wars. The pool bar serves fantastic food and drinks and really well priced. Everyone we came in contact with was super friendly and helpful. I would recommend in a heart beat. Thank you!

“Enjoyable stay.”

Not long back from a 10-night stay at this hotel. I can echo what a lot of people have already said. Very classy feel, spotlessly clean, superb breakfast, great pool area, bar areas all excellent with amazing views from the rooftop bar (pics attached). Not long back from a 10-night stay at this hotel. I can echo what a lot of people have already said. Very classy feel, spotlessly clean, superb breakfast, great pool area, bar areas all excellent with amazing views from the rooftop bar (pics attached). Rooms spacious with a massive, comfortable bed. Overall throughly enjoyed our time here. Sadly, there was one day at the pool with a large group of young lads who were being quite loud and generally disrespectful. Bar staff did come and have a word with them but they didn’t really take notice. Staff worked tirelessly to make sure everything was ok for their guests. Thank you to them for that and thank you for a nice visit.

“Excellent Hotel (BUT NOT AT THE WEEKENDS IN HIGH SEASON)”

The hotel is spotlessly clean, very airy and spacious with excellent facilities. Our room with a sea view balcony was exceptional, the huge bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional, including the cooked items, with plenty of choice. The steak evening meal offer is a must, steak dinner for two which was absolutely delicious, also includes a bottle of wine for 45 Euro is a great deal. All was well until the Thursday when a group of 16 hen party 'invaded' the pool area setting up camp behind our sun beds, followed by a separate group of adult males on Friday who were very loud, intoxicated and foul mouthed, compounded by yet another group of loud, intoxicated and foul mouthed adult males who set up camp by the pool. Some of these individuals were staying in the nearby sister holiday residence which allows them access to Aqua Pedra dos Bicos Hotel, but only to use the restaurant and pool bar, but not the pool or sun beds (A HUGE MISTAKE ON THE PART OF THE HOTEL MANAGEMENT). The nearby holiday residence has its own pool and restaurant. The prospect of facing the same situation during the second weekend of our planned stay forced up to check-out of this hotel and move elsewhere. 'An ideal hotel in Albufeira for couples and friends seeking comfort and tranquillity' and 'a hotel offering a serene and comfortable stay, ideal for those seeking peace by the sea' (Both quotes from the hotel website) IT IS NOT (certainly at the weekends). Such a shame for an otherwise excellent hotel, clean and well furnished in a great location for Albufeira, except at weekends in high season.

“Clean hotel but sun beds are an issue”

Two female middle aged friends stayed here for our annual girly holiday - June 2026. Booked with Jet2. Coach transfer from Faro Airport to hotel was almost 2 hours (due to the numerous other drop offs). Had this route been direct then maybe a 40 minute transfer. Hotel very clean, in fact spotless, and staff were pleasant and friendly. Normally we are given a map of the local area but this was not offered (this is usually offered automatically at reception). Proximity to The Strip is about 8 - 10 minutes on foot and 35 - 40 minutes to Old Town. There is a land train which takes you into the Old Town and on to the Marina. Main issue was availability of sun beds by the pool area. There is a note in the room that says sun beds can’t be saved for longer than 30 minutes. This is not the case as sun beds had been reserved, using towels, for hours at a time with nobody using them and staff did nothing about this. It was frustrating to see sun beds saved for hours on end and guests wondering around trying to find a spare bed. The pool area is compact (I have been in larger back gardens). This is perfectly acceptable until the stag and hen groups arrive, of which there were 3 during our stay. When they get rowdy, have drinking competitions, begin shouting and using bad language, the pool area is not big enough to absorb the noise etc. The hotel is not far from the strip and therefore it is understandable why stag and hen parties stay at the hotel. For the life of us we were unable to find the lights in the pool side toilets: although we think this may be operator error. The drinks at the pool side bar were expensive, the soft drinks being more expensive than alcoholic drinks. We could only see live music / entertainment being offered twice a week during our stay - Tuesday and Saturday. However, it may be expected that those staying at the hotel use the local bars and restaurants.
