“Lazy Winter Sunshine”

On the last week of my 5 week stay and have loved every minute, rooms are comfortable and clean with modern appointments situated on the main road to the beach (10minutes walk) with lots of eating establishments in easy distance.Would 💯 recommend

Absolutely fantastic apartments, spotlessly clean and the location was excellent. 10 mins walk to a beautiful beach and 10 mins to a large supermarket and shopping mall. The apartment was fully equipped and plenty of space. It was cleaned every day and bedsheets and towels changed. Was a little noisy being close to the main road especially in the morning but I would highly recommend for all types. Will definitely be going back

“Overall fair”

First impressions were very bad as room smelled bad and aircon took a long time to start working. First impressions were very bad as room smelled bad and aircon took a long time to start working. Bar opening times a bit frustrating…..however smell in room cleared up ( don’t think anyone had stayed in our room for a while. We thought the apartment was fine after a day or so and slept well it’s basic but decent value for money and had a very good gym ( pool was nothing special though ) giving it 3 out of 5 simply because it’s advertised as a 4 star ( which it really isn’t in my book ) overall fair.

Myself, a friend and my 4 children are just back from a 4 night stay in this accommodation. I booked through Budget Travel having spent hours online trying to find a suitable trip for us. One of the main reasons I booked this accommodation was the fact that a Kids Club was advertised both on BT website and their own website - "As children occupy a special place in our holiday resort in Algarve, we offer them games, activities and an entertainment programme.". I asked about it at reception - there were no games, activities, entertainment programme or kids club. So if you are looking for that for kids, I wouldn't recommend here at all. There's a small playground but that's about it. However - as an accommodation, the reception staff were very friendly and helpful, the place is clean and well kept and the apartments are spacious. They were lightly cleaned every day with fresh towels provided. Not much by way of cooking equipment but we managed. The pool is small and was pretty crowded when we were there. The "kids pool" is not a kids pool - it's tiny and suitable only for babies/toddlers. The sun only hits the pool area from about lunchtime until the early evening and it gets very busy then. Other than the in-house restaurant (we didn't eat here) there's not much around in terms of restaurants, except for the pizzeria across the road which is nice. Lidl/Aldi about a 15-20 minute walk away, back into the town of Portimao, away from the coast. We walked to the beach a few days which is about 10-15 minutes. Other days we got an Uber into Praia da Rocha (5 minutes or so, approx €7) to spend the day at the beach (bigger, more shops and restaurants, watersports etc.) but some Ubers won't take you back if you've been at the beach (wet, sand), so keep an eye on that. It's about an hour from Faro airport, I booked a transfer though FaroAirportTransfersAlgarve.com - Sunline Transfers. Excellent service, on time and about €80 each way for the 6 of us with luggage. There's a small extra charge if you want to go the quicker way as it has a toll bridge. Similarly, we went to Zoomarine one day. Google Maps tells you it's about 30 mins away, but we didn't specify we wanted the quicker route which we should have, so it ended up taking over an hour to get there. We used Uber for this too.
