We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the services provided. Our room was cleaned daily, and towels were changed every two days. The reception staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Initially, I was hesitant after reading a mix of negative and positive reviews ranging from 1 to 5 stars. However, I am pleased with the service and feel that I am receiving good value for my money. While there were a few minor issues, such as a broken drawer knob, I have no major complaints as I booked a 3-star apartment, not a 5-star one. Typically, we opt for a half-board package, but this time we decided to try self-catering due to our vegetarian and now vegan lifestyle. The apartment provided ample pots, pans, and dishes, allowing us to purchase fruits and vegetables from nearby shops. Aldi and Lidl are a 30 to 40-minute walk away, while I found Intermarche to be convenient and reasonably priced, located near the beach just a short walk from the apartment. Speaking of the beach, it is only a 5-minute walk away, although I have yet to explore the apartment's swimming pool as we spend our days by the sea. Overall, it is a pleasant place to stay with a fantastic location and friendly staff. As we endure the winter weather in the UK, the daily temperatures here range between 20 to 25 degrees, providing a welcome escape.

Like to say we had such a lovely hoilday as family. From 9th December 17th .. Big thankyou for such a wonderful stay we was staying in room 608 it was a fantastic room view over pool and view looking towards the sea with stunning sunrise and sunset every day kitchen had everything and more very good for us the hotel was lovely clean tidy reception staff were fantastic went above and beyond women who worked in restaurant was always so happy helpful such breath fresh air thankyou house keeper's keeping are room clean every day and hotel . I really can not fault the hotel at all yes rooms need a touch up they were fine for us as we was out all day somewhere to put your head down for nite .would l stay at this hotel again 100 % yes we would as family having restaurant and beach only a walk away is also bonus

RR Club Amarilis Praia da Rocha Portugal Holiday date 24th December 2023 to 7th January 2024. We stayed in room 1001, which is a one bedroom apartment overlooking the pool. The apartment is a little dated and needs some maintenance but it was very big and adequate for us two. The housekeeping staff were lovely. They swept and mopped every day. They emptied the bins daily and they provided plenty of toilet rolls, shower gel and hand washing soap. The hairdryer in the bathroom is powerful. The bedsheets were changed every 4 days and the towels every 2 days, acceptable to us and the beds were comfortable. Extra blankets and pillows are in the wardrobe. As it was a winter holiday it was pretty chilly in the evenings so we used the heating unit above the patio door which warmed the room up nicely. There was also an oil filled radiator in the bedroom. The kitchen was perfectly useable, enough pots and pans to make a simple meal. Tea towels are provided. I can’t believe that some people expect a hotel to provide them with washing up liquid, of course there isn’t any, go to the shop and buy some or take a small bottle with you. The breakfast was much better than we were expecting. We were told that during the winter months we would only get a Continental type breakfast, which is usually bread to toast and bread rolls, jams, croissants, meats, cheese, cereals, fruit, yogurt, honey, tea, coffee and fruit juices. There’s nothing wrong with that. We were very surprised to find that we got all the items listed above plus bacon, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, sausages, beans, mushrooms. What more could anyone want. It was all cooked really nicely and was kept warm. The lovely lady who cleared the tables was so cheerful every single morning. She greeted us with a smile every day. The hotel Wi-Fi was hit and miss. We often had to go down to the reception area to get a signal. It might be because we were on a high floor? Who knows. The hotel is in a good position, close to the beautiful beach, lots of restaurants and shops. There’s also a bus stop at the side of the hotel. We would happily stay in Club Amarilis if we were to go to Praia da Rocha in the future.
