We were genuinely surprised to discover that Mirachoro Praia da Rocha is rated as a 2‑star hotel — because our experience felt far closer to a 3‑star, if not edging into 4‑star quality. From the moment we arrived, it exceeded our expectations in all the right ways. Our apartment was spacious and well laid out, with a proper separate bedroom, a comfortable living area, and a clean bathroom stocked with complimentary toiletries and plenty of towels. Housekeeping visited daily, keeping everything spotless, and our sheets were changed every three days, which made the stay feel consistently fresh and well cared for. The staff deserve a special mention. Every single one of them was warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. They were always smiling, and by the end of our stay they were greeting us more like friends than guests. That personal touch really made a difference and added to the relaxed atmosphere of the hotel. The outdoor areas were lovely — a nice pool with plenty of seating around it, plus a pleasant outdoor seating area for relaxing with a drink. The only downside was that the pool was quite cold, but once you were in, it was refreshing. The hotel is in a peaceful spot, and it’s only about a 20‑minute walk to the main strip or the marina, so you get the best of both worlds: quiet when you want it, and easy access to the livelier parts of Praia da Rocha. A big bonus is Funkys, the bar right next door. It’s a great little place with a fun atmosphere, ideal for a drink before heading out or for a relaxed evening close to the hotel. It definitely added to the convenience and enjoyment of our stay. Food at the hotel was great, and the drinks were even better — good quality, good prices, and a nice variety. For a 2‑star hotel, the value for money is honestly outstanding. Will we come back… absolutely. This hotel gave us far more than we expected, and we’d happily return for another stay.

Myself and my sister had a lovely 5 nights here. The hotel is superb and lovely and restful. The ladies on reception are very helpful and friendly and always ready to help. This was our second time here so we knew the hotel and area well. The added refurbishments were so welcoming and we made use of our time in the sun. We are so impressed with the hotel we have booked again. There are some lovely walks you can do to the beach but there is also a courtesy bus. There is a supermarket a short walk away . The apartment was excellent, roomy, bright and spotlessly clean. The staff make this hotel and all of them engage well with guests. It really is a superb hotel to visit and we are going to return over and over again.

Arrived at the hotel and the front of house staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Rooms not quite ready as we arrived early but we enjoyed a drink and snacks in the bar and relaxed. The choice and value for food and drinks, very good. Our self catering room was spacious with most kitchen equipment supplied. The bathroom did have a slight odour and a few plumbing/gurgling noises but overall the room was good value. (Circa 1.5 km from the hotel to both Praia da rocha and Portimao waterfronts). Easy walk if reasonably fit or taxis are easily available. Our evenings in the hotel bar were made extra special by the outstanding service and attention provided by Eduardo. He was very attentive, professional and exceptionally hard working and from our observations made every guest feel special. A big thank you to all the staff at Mirachoro for a wonderful stay. We would have no hesitation in staying with you in the future.

Full and honest review of this apartment block, staff and specifically apartment 407. We arrived on 3rd March. Reception staff were efficient and polite.. Room not ready immediatly so tried out the bar which was nice, prices very reasonable and again staff very friendly. This was the same experience for the whole of the holiday. Pleasantly suprised with size and cleanliness of the whole apartment when we got the key. There were some grubby spots in the bathroom grouting but not something that bothers us Very squeeky sliding doors to the clothes cupboard which would be a simple fix. Great kitchenette area with all you would need to fully cater in the room. We had a view of the sea from this height and also the football matches that seemed to be happening every day at almost any time. Nice bar next door also, patrons were sometime a bit noisy late into the night. Now the downside of apartment 407. There were a dew cool days and although the air con should have been able to heat the room, it didnt! Complaints at reception did not resolve the issue and we spent much of the time in the room ( as little as possible) wrapped in blankets intended for the bedsettee. The road noise was huge, so much so, we kept checking that the single glazed patio doors were firmly closed, they were! Even the noise from the football games became intrusive at time. There was also a never ending drone from other air con units (or something else IDK) but it never stopped 24/7 Would we stay there again? Maybe but would specify an even number room (the far block away from the road) However probably wouldnt visit Praia de Rocha again anyway, its pretty but nothing outstanding
