We had a fantastic day at this hotel. We stayed for six nights from June 30. We have a premier room on the sixth floor with a balcony overlooking the pool and the Bay. The view was fabulous. The room was very spacious, and the three of us fit very comfortably. The service at this hotel is impeccable. The breakfast was fantastic. The pool is very large and refreshing and clean. The entire complex is meticulously kept. It’s an easy walk to the beaches and to restaurants. Lisbon and.Sintra 30 minutes away. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Portugal.

Very luxurious hotel with all the amenities you can imagine. Room was clean and the service was impeccable. The hotel was booked and I needed to extend my stay an extra night. I was even willing to change rooms and pay a higher fee. Within an hour the front desk called to say I could remain in the same room at the low rate paid when I booked it months ago. The only negative thing I want to mention is the laundry service fees are astronomical in view of the quality delivered. I was in between tours with limited time so I had no other alternative. Had I known this prior, I would have used the laundry service at the previous hotel which was 1/4 of what I paid.

First the good: the location, the spa operated by holmes place, the gym operated by holmes place, the water lounge The bad: room are great but because of the design of the hotel, standard rooms barely get direct sun. From the outside this does not seem possible, but the privacy partitions do block both the sum and most of the sea view. I received a stern no when i asked to move. I was there to recharge, use the spa, gym, water amenities. I didn't want to think about food, so I ordered full board expecting plenty of healthy options (given the name of the hotel). This is not the case. The breakfast is buffet with enough options, but the lunch and dinner menu for full-board guests is a standard three course meal, with limited choices if all well prepared to the standard of a 5 star (nothing to complain about the food, just not health focused). Sure you can negotiate everyday to change something to a much cheaper salad, but 1) you don't get your ROI on what you paid for 2) They are not setup for it. The ugly: I had a laser treatment close by that left my face quite red and swollen. So one day I called to ask if my breakfast (included) could be delivered to my room, and explained the situation, expecting them to charge for the cutlery and service etc. I got another stern no telling me I would have to pay for the breakfast. So no, I do not recommend the Mirage. They are not polite. And I will never book directly to support a hotel. I am convinced they would be more polite if I had booked through booking.com or others.
