“Amazing views and good service ”

Having reviewed most of the hotels online we decided to stay here for 2 nights due to the central location and great views. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The hotel was also very good at ensuring everyone followed the guidelines due to the coronavirus. This made you feel very relaxed. The hotel has a large terrace on the 4th floor providing amazing views during breakfast or the rest of the day.

“High and noisy”

Situated on top of a hill (which you wouldn't want to walk up!), the views from the balconies are amazing. Situated on top of a hill (which you wouldn't want to walk up!), the views from the balconies are amazing. Unfortunately, even though the hotel was good value, there should be an expectation of cleanliness. Not that it was dirty, more grubby due to it desperately needing some renovation. Outdated decor and wood clad corridors made us feel like we had jumped in a time portal and arrived back in the early 90s. The place appeared empty as we never saw anyone else and there was only two other vehicles in the car park, so it was rather strange that they decided to put someone in the room above ours. I shouldn't say 'someone' as it sounded like a herd of baby elephants crashing around, and the squeak when they opened their balcony doors made us jump every time. Bring some of your best noise cancelling headphones as this place is noisy, even when there are no guests. The noise extended into the bathroom with our toilet making a banshee like wail for a good 60 seconds after every flush, meaning we just could not flush when visiting the facilities during the night else we wake everyone in the immediate vicinity. Breakfast was fine, although as we went down an hour before closure, lots was missing and not replenished which was annoying. Also, I do like to test the toast machines in each hotel I stay, and this one I just could not work out how it worked. Maybe that was due to lack of sleep due to the banshee living in the U-bend? Anyway, we stayed one night and got out as quick as we could to the relative calm and quietness of the roads. Unlikely we will return.

“Odd charm with some positives but take ear plugs.”

Difficult to put into the words the mystery’s of this place. Feels like a time warp in part and needs a lot of work. Plus -Views -Huge rooms and massive beds -Staff - very helpful and friendly Cons -Lack of sound proofing, although it appeared like a ghost ship, hardly saw anyone else at night… more

Difficult to put into the words the mystery’s of this place. Feels like a time warp in part and needs a lot of work. Plus -Views -Huge rooms and massive beds -Staff - very helpful and friendly Cons -Lack of sound proofing, although it appeared like a ghost ship, hardly saw anyone else at night but movement could be heard, felt like sleeping on a squash court. - condition of hotel, floors in lift moved , shower floor was bouncy - lack of amenities Other 20ish min walk down to sea front, initially thought area was a bit sketchy but actually was ok. Had an odd charm.

my partner and I stayed here for a week. The location is good and the views are amazing. People are friendly. What surprised me is that the breakfast was not included in the price and to be honest 7,5 euros per person for breakfast is too much, especially what's offered and knowing that if you take breakfast in a local cafe you might pay 3 or 4 per person. The hotel needs urgent maintenance. We had a safe in the room that we could not use as it was not working.
