14th visit, and still superb, giving a quiet comfortable stay even though Funchal is getting more crowded. “A beautiful place with beautiful botanical gardens, a place of joy and peace”
I highly recommend staying at The Residence. The botanical gardens in the resort were stunning and the facilities were excellent. This is a place of joy and peace.

We have stayed at the residence four times now. Amazing hotel, friendly staff, great breakfast, plenty sunbeds, never feels too busy . We will keep coming back
