“Lovely place to stay in Funchal”
Great place to stay for visiting visiting Funchal and the rest of Madeira. Restaurants, shops and seafront are all a short walk away. “Well run establishment”
A walk up the hill but in a convenient location. Good apartment with kitchen facilities and a balcony. Very friendly staff. Only small draw back is the adjacent road can be noisy at night. Good restaurants nearby

“Independant excellence”
We stayed at the Vila Toca in October. We got the airport bus to the bottom of the street for €8 return. Just get off at the stop for the Savoy Palace and walk approx 200 meters up the hill . “Great base in Funchal ”
Room was small but perfectly formed - we were in the basement room so no balcony- the garden needs a bit of tlc but nothing major. Pool was a plunge pool rather than for swimming but clean and well maintained. Close to the Savoy Palace and Reid's. Walk to centre is about 30 mins but can take a bus.
