As I wrote on the booking website: "From the moment we arrived all the staff we encountered were outstanding, hotel guests were their priority and we felt looked after, Reception were welcoming and kind as were the breakfast staff the following morning. Our room on the third floor was street facing, had a blacony and had views of the Sanctuary in the distance. The room and bed were smaller than I was expecting, fortunately we travel light with backpacks. The bed was a little too firm for my liking and lacked padding. The walls of the shower were made of glass with privacy panels and abutts the bedroom. The air-conditioning worked well and there was a smart TV so were could access our Netflix/Disney and more accounts. Breakfast was served in a small dining room near reception, on our morning it was not busy but the days before we were told by other guests that there were lengthy waits. While breakfast was simple, it was plentiful, cereals, breads, yoghurt, fruit, cold meat and cheese, cake, in fact each table is set-up with portions of bread, savoury biscuits, cold meat and cheese and more. We were encouraged by the kitchen staff to prepare take-away filled rolls, fruit, whatever we needed for the day's walk on the Camino. Absolutely fabulous stay." The location of the hotel was perfect, easy access to the train and bus stations, the Elavador de Santa Luzia, the historical centre of town and the waterfront. Don't miss the Museu do Traje de Viana do Castelo or Bola de Berlim at Manuel Natario.

Lovely little hotel in the town centre with Parking & air con. Our room had a small terrace overlooking the street & with a view of Santa Luzia. The hotel has covered parking that needs to be booked in advance & offers a continental breakfast. The staff are helpful & Eduardo who runs the hotel is a mine of useful information. A great find in a lovely town.

simple check-in with lifts to all floors.my room was a bit small,very clean and tidy with a comfortable double bed and great shower,throw in some much appreciated outside space with table and chairs and the great location of this hotel be it your on the caminho or visiting this fine city then it has a ton going for it. a big thanks to all the staff i spoke with from the minute i arrived to the minute i left,you were great.

“Good Location - Good Hotel”

The hotel is well located a block or two off the historic square. The rooms are comfortable and the staff very nice - expeditions the gentleman that checked me in and gave me a great overview of the town.
