We have just returned from this lovely hotel. The food was some of the best we've had in a hotel for a long time plenty of choice and different every night. All the staff were lovely the rooms were cleaned everyday. Evening entertainment was great especially The Flamenco Evening. We will definitely be back.

“Lovely Experience”

We had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay at the Mac Puerto Marina and from the reception staff to the dining room staff and cleaners they couldn't do enough for you. The Hotel was spotless and well run and what a nice touch by putting no less than six different drinks in the fridge for you not man… more

We had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay at the Mac Puerto Marina and from the reception staff to the dining room staff and cleaners they couldn't do enough for you. The Hotel was spotless and well run and what a nice touch by putting no less than six different drinks in the fridge for you not many hotels would do this. We wouldn't hesitate to return here at all.

This was a 60th birthday present for my partner , it wasnt our 1st choice of destination but due to the current world climate it felt like a safe bet, being a 4 star in a great location on the costa del sol. The room was ok but tired ,infact the part of the hotel we were in was tired, we chose halfboard. The pool is lovely ,sunbeds later on in the day became scarce but our room by the pool had there own sunbeds . The adjacent rooms on the groundfloor had no soundproofing just wooden stud and plasterboard, we kept hearing people moving chairs i can only assume ? and it felt like they were in the room ! The breakfast , well i have never had beans that don't taste like beans ,sausages the same. 6 days of Fruit bowls and egg on toast which is all we needed to set us up for the day. The Evening meal ! ! ! Hmmm needed flavour , we ate out the last 2 nights . We go on holiday twice a year on package deals so know roughly what we expect but i would give this hotel 3 star max and reviews which led me to book this hotel totally mystify me ! We have been back a week ,it wasnt a cheap holiday but we have to be honest. Maybe theres new management ? oh fruit juices were like a watered down sunny D taste ,i could go on. Not recommendable ,sorry. Pros - Reception staff attentive and helpful as were the pool staff. Pool lovely . Welcome mini bar a lovely touch. Welcome glass of Cava very nice . Evening entertainment quite good tbh . Cons - Room was Tired , as was that part of the hotel. No sound insulation in room ,noisy. Breakfast ,not much flavour. Evening meal , repetative ,little flavour . Quite a big hotel and busy. Did not feel like a 4 star.

This was our second visit to the hotel we came last year and enjoyed it so we returned. The hotel have introduced a policy around the pool that if you leave your sun bed for more than half an hour your towels will be removed. The attendant had a red book and would log the time you left the bed and the return time. Before he removed the items he photographed the times he was going to remove. On our last day he removed items from several beds and when the guests returned and went to reclaim their property their items such as creams could not be found and mayhem broke loose with the attendant getting agitated with the guests the pool bar manger came to calm the situation. I spoke to the manager of the hotel and was told they did this to ensure that if new guest arrived pm they could have a bed available. I agree that if guests put towels down early and do not use the bed for hours the towels should be removed. We had been on our bed from nine until twelve thirty went for lunch and the towels had been removed. I asked if we had been in the pool bar would they have been removed and told yes. This may have been the policy last but it was not implemented. Will not return for a third visit did not feel relaxed being watched.
