From the time we arrived late on Wednesday, 15 October, we were greeted very warmly. We are both on rollators and requested a room near the elevators. Once checked in, we were escorted to our room with our luggage taken care of. From the time we arrived at The hotel, we were treated royally. Anything we asked for if available was provided asap. Drinks 2for 1 between 5 and 6, and bar food available till 6-30. We availed of this a few times. Any information required was readily available at reception. The barman was very courteous and willing in any way possible. Both on Rollators, yet able to get about easily enough. The bus stop is almost outside the door and will bring you to Mirimar Centro shopping experience. Make sure to ask for Mirimar Centro, it's directly opposite the last bus stop, and at €1.20 you could afford to go there more than once. As well as shops on the top floor, an outdoor area for sunshine, and best of all, Go go-kart track. Should we get a similar deal again, we would have no hesitation in going back to Hotel Mainare.

Close to the Renfe train station but don't use Google maps for directions as it takes you up a steep hill and steep steps then into the station. Lovely staff. Very clean. Great breakfast choices and a gluten-free baguette and a large muffin were provided for my daughter. Rooms are spacious but only one socket beside the bed. A kettle was provided on request but we had to boil it on the floor. Great wee fridge which we needed to keep drinks cool as it was very hot. Bar area and selection of snacks and drinks are good. Close to the bus stop to take you into Fuengirola. Valentina was an asset to the hotel and was so pleasant and helpful. Phone signal was poor and it took 3 days to get someone to get our TV working. We needed it as our daughter needed to rest due to disability. Pool area excellent and always plenty of sunbeds.Book library a great touch. Staff in hotel are so helpful. Would stay again. If you are a light sleeper it is noisy as beside a main road and rooms not soundproofed against noisy neighbours above and next door. Nice balcony but over a road. It is not a no smoking hotel as our neighbours smoked in their room and on balcony. Also smoking allowed at the pool and seating area outside the bar.

What a lovely, clean, friendly hotel. Room was on 3rd floor and so spacious, beds very comfy, so clean and air conditioned. What a lovely, clean, friendly hotel. Room was on 3rd floor and so spacious, beds very comfy, so clean and air conditioned. Breakfast was lovely everything you could want and a person doing omelettes and fried eggs, the restaurant was set up for breakfast lovely and the staff were so lovely throughout the hotel. Pool area great plenty of sun beds with umbrellas and trees for shade. The only two things I was disappointed with was no where to put wet clothes on balcony only of chairs then we couldn’t sit out there, need those little airers that fix to wall the other thing was checked out at 12 midday and no facilities to shower and change like most hotels have a shower room, we were told to use pool shower and the toilets but then everyone sees you washing your hair, we paid extra to keep room on. Even though I would still return to this hotel but have earlier flight. Thank you for a nice stay.

“Smallish Hotel looking more like an apartment building!”

Located a bit close to the Mediterranean - couple of roads away. You can view a bit of the beach from the balconies attached to the rooms. The reception area was small, but the staff was friendly, even though we checked in kinda late. Lifts kinda tiny! Bedroom was large, but the bed was not even queen-sized. There was a kettle and minibar provided in the room, but only 1 charging point in the entire room! The 2nd free one was in the bath. Some lights in the room did not work. In fact, the room was a bit dark even with all the working lights turned on. The AC did not work properly - fortunately, the night was cool. Each room had a spacious balcony with chairs. Nice! While the main bedroom was large, the bathroom was tiny! And the shower was a cramped cubicle, much like the ones you find in budget cruise ships. A large person would find it very, very cramped indeed! Wonder why the hotel has made it this way. Ideally, they should have provided a kinda open shower area.
