4th visit but was given room overlooking rundown backstreet even though we were in a premium suite or whatever called now, was told could get English TV and couldn't mentioned it twice but nothing done, are in our late 60's and don't want to be out late every night so TV was something that we wanted Most of the staff are brilliant but overworked, one lunchtime at the pool bar one guy was serving drinks, making coffee and delivering food to table for ages before he got any help. Not keen after a few days with the canteen feel of dinner, husband is fine with it but we ate out quite a bit which was our choice. Towels still being left on beds for hours which is really annoying, have seen lots of complaints about this but nothing done Expect to get the usual generic response that I see, not sure if will come back, the location is the best thing about it and quite a lot of the staff

My Sister & I stayed at Alua Sun Lago Rojo for 5Nights over the Easter Break. Upon arriving at the Hotel, Hotel itself is clean and nicely decorated. check in was with ease with a bit of a wait which is to be expected, however staff who were on reception were warm & welcoming. we arrived around midday and our Room was ready. We stayed on the 1st Floor. Handy to lifts or stairwell. Rooms are quite big but awkwardly laid out especially the Bathroom, the balcony was extremely small with a Table, 2 chairs & a drying rack for clothes. Dining area is quite small which unfortunately doesn't accommodate all guests staying so there is a bit of a wait. Bar areas are decorated to a high standard and drinks are reasonably priced. Pool areas are quite small but they are well maintained. Cleaners are around everyday and anyone we came into contact with were friendly greeting us with a "hola". The hotel is pretty central to everything , there was work going on within the hotel but it didn't cause too much noise, all in all a good stay and we would likely return in the near future

We booked a holiday to Aluasun Lago Rojo hotel in November 2025 All good until we received an email from Seaside Travel who received a Errata Letter email from JET 2 dated 02.03.2026 stating that their would be some building works to Floors 1 and 2 of Aluasun hotel We went straight to Seaside Travel to see if we could move holiday to a different hotel on the same date of travel so no change to flight detail just a different hotel. Seaside Travel representative called Jet 2 with our concerns. You stated it was only minor works and would only take place between the hours of 9am till 6pm Monday to Friday with no weekend work. And that we would be moved away from any works. We were refused saying it would be a 100% cancellation fee, so we had no alternative but to go on this holiday Arrived at hotel to sign in collect keys to room, I asked reception lady if works finished and she said nearly only small things to do so should not be a problem. We were placed on first floor along with other holiday customers . we were 2 rooms away from work in room 132 with other customers in rooms either side of work 17.03.2025 works started at 8.30 putting dust mats down in passage outside rooms. Work stopped around 7.30pm with staff then running vacuum over carpets. Also on the 17th the hotel did maintenance cleaning on the water supply which resulted in no hot water for showers and on some of the higher rooms no water at all, showers and toilets. When asked about works you stated that work would take place between the hours of 9am till 6pm Monday to Friday with no weekend work. This did not happen as works regularly started at 8.30am till 7.45 most days but also worked Saturday and Sunday, so 7 days a week Noise was from Hammers, Drill, Grinders not just into rooms but if using garden pool works were just above so had to go to beach to get away from works. hotel and food itself was good i understand that maintenance needed but as other reviews they should have at least shut off 2 floors while work was ongoing This is totally unacceptable it was like holiday in middle of building site.
