“Amazing Hotel for Cycling Trip”

Just visited this stunning hotel for a cycling trip. Amazing rooms, a great breakfast and a fantastic location to base yourself for cycling. North Wind Cycles just round the corner delivered and collected the bikes from the hotel. We will be back.

The hotel is very well located, just in the centre per of the village. It is an old mallorcan house renewed with a modern touch. The swimming pool is salty with less chemicals. Super. The breakfast very complete. The admosphere was very quiet even though the hotel was full of guests. In addition, the rooms have air accondition and perfectly clean. The landscape and the views from the hotel are very special. The hotel manager is very kind and ready to help you at any moment.

If you are looking for the real Majorcan experience, look no further. The building has been sympathetically restored to a contemporary style, while keeping many of the original features. It really is lovely and fail to see what others didn't like about it. It is a small boutique residence, located right in the centre of Alaro. You can't get any more local and authentic in my eyes. nd it felt really warm. Staff were amazing. The communication prior to arriving was second to none. Always met us with a smile and happiness. They make no secret that they take time off so they are not there all day and night. But it's clear the times they are and we had no reason to need them out of hours as there were no problems. We arrived during their time out, and entering instructions could not have been clearer. The room we had (room 4), was lovely and overlooked the pool and courtyard area. The bathroom is stunning, huge walk in shower, massive bath and everything you need. Breakfast was really good. Couldn't fault it at all and while there is no bar as such, there is a fridge with drinks in it that you help yourself to and make a note of them in a book with your rooms number on it. Very trusting of them and a sign of how the place is run. I like that. The whole place is spotless, unfortunately, due to time restraints, we didn't manage to use the pool but I did check it's temp and it was nice and warm. So why drop a mark? Well the town is lovely. We were attending a party up in the hills so this was perfect. The town is beautiful. However, as others have noted, parking is very much at a premium. I was very lucky and managed to get a space right in the square, less than a minute away but I can see how people drive around for long lengths of time, looking for a space. But patience is always a virtue sone use that patience and enjoy the town and hotel. Thanks to the owners and staff for a really lovely stay. We will without a doubt be back and I will worry about the parking when I do.

The hotel is located in the village center behind the main church in the center of Alaro. 5 km from the motorway. Very positive was the cleanliness of the hotel and the friendliness of Sara. - beds: In the room were two large single beds, unfortunately not possible to fix them together - so you could not use like a king size bed, due the fact that if you was lying in the middle of the bed the beds were sliding aside. - breakfast: very tasty with local cheese, ham, fruits, pastry, muesli and yogurt, fresh orange juice but in my point of view it is not acceptable that a four star property having every morning the same breakfast - the same four type of cheese, the same four type of cold cuts... There is no warm kitchen in the hotel - we was missing f.e hard boiled eggs or omelet, etc. - backyard with pool: in the evening were no lights on in the backyard and around the pool - it was full moon, so it was not so disturbing - parking place: the biggest challenge of every evening was to find a parking place somewhere in Alaro after you was all day long on the road visiting the island. It is unacceptable that every night you need to make rounds in the village to find somewhere a parking place (the longest took 55 minutes - the average time 10-15 minutes) and we could not park two times in the same street/ place. Thanks God Alaro is not so big, so the walking distance from the parking place to the hotel was between 10 to 20 minutes. Suggestion: in the front of the hotel there are 5-6 parking places - why is not possible to rent/ block them only for the guest of the hotel? - during our stay of 7 nights (12.08 - 19.08) the village center was closed during night time, it was not possible to enter with the car. - during our stay in the first 5 nights there was "fiesta" (party) in Alaro and due the fact that the hotel is located in the center - it was very loud until late in the night. - In my point of view having a four star property includes as well a "kind of hotel service" which one was missing. In this area it is a lot of space for improvement. The overall experience it depends from what are you looking for... If you are going there to enjoy relaxing silent nights - during our stay was not the proper place. If you are not disturbed by the loud music and local party people than is good place to be. You have the possibility to enjoy the nature - Sierra Tramuntana, Castel D'Alaro, etc. and the road connections are very good with the rest of the island.
