“Large but tierd A 3.5 would be better rating”

the place is full of charm but could do with some investment. the rooms are large and very clean. the bathroom we had was huge. the breakfast was basic but adiquate the staff where happy and helpful. the location is perfect at the top of the most stunning town on Mallorca.

A really special place, if you are looking for relax, slowing down and enjoying sunset and sunrise. The hotel itself is new and well kept - the restaurant is cozy and the food really nice - helpful and friendly staff - but the location is what makes it so incredibly special. On sundays and holidays you will be surrounded by locals doing bbq and ciclists climbing up - absolutely a great place to be.

“Quirky isn’t always great”

We stayed here for 2 nights & absolutely loved Arta. The hotel took a bit of getting used to! Quirky doesn’t mean comfy! We arrived at 1pm to find the door locked & no way of getting in. Fortunately another couple saw us struggling & gave us a code to enter. We wandered into the hotel & found a gentleman sitting in a small office with a window opening. The greeting was pretty minimal & we were told that the restaurant was closed hence the locked door. We said we sphere here for a room & were to,d our room wouldn’t be ready for another 15 mins. We wandered into town & returned 2 hours later to be given a room on the top floor. There wasn’t a lift & my hubby had just had a new hip so he was going to struggle up 2 floors of many stairs! I was so embarrassed that a lady had to help us up with our luggage, the gentleman at reception said that he too had a bad hip. On entering the room it looked really quirky & a bit of a wow. Having lived in the room the wow disappeared. It was actually pretty uncomfortable. A bed with no headboard that wasn’t against a wall meant that the pillows kept falling off. The 2 level wooden flooring meant a very careful visit to the loo during the night! The bathroom was a bit dated but did have a large shower. A full fridge meant no place for our wine to cool. The balcony was carpeted with fake grass which was in need of repair & the loungers were starting to rust. One of the loungers was housing a few wasps in its leg who became agitated when moved! Breakfast was ok. A minimal spread with the offer of eggs. The market is obviously German as staff spoke German & all other guests wee German. Service was minimal throughout our stay. To sum it up, we felt like a bit of an inconvenience but useful to fill a room. In fact, there was little hospitality offered at all.

On arrival at the hotel we had to search for someone to allow us to check into our room. Eventually the owner appeared; he was friendly and offered to help carry our 4 cases upstairs as there is no lift. The Junior Suite was large, spacious and well equipped, as was the bathroom. We had a TV in the room with lots of channels but, unfortunately, not one of them was British. Toiletries in the room were poor and basic. We were told that the air conditioning unit had been repaired by a technician but the dripping unit continued throughout our stay, even after being ‘repaired’ for a second time. The hotel claims to be four star but we found the breakfast to be poor. Apart from the waitress offering eggs you had to manage everything yourself. This included making a cup of tea (no English Breakfast) by filling and boiling the kettle on the breakfast room table yourself. Fruit consisted of a medium bowl of water melon cut into chunks and then another bowl of fresh whole fruit. The variety and quality was poor. On departure from the hotel after a three night stay the manager was nowhere to be found and we had to search again for the lady who received us initially and who seemed to be doing everything from reception, bar, breakfast room and checking in and out!! She claimed the owner was on holiday and so there was no help bringing the suitcases down the slippery polished steps. Although we enjoyed the quirkiness and history of the hotel we found the customer service was almost non-existent, which caused us to feel that our stay at Sant Salvador was not as pleasant as it could have been and was also poor value for money.
