Approx 1hr transfer from airport via the A32 TIB public bus, stop Ciutat Blanca is 2 mins walk from hotel. Super efficient checkin from Manuel with my request for high floor view of lake met. Double room 534 was very compact with certain areas quite tight on space particularly the toilet, but very spacious shower. A few small tweets to better utilise some wasted space would be beneficial. No slippers or robes, but hairdryer (a tad temperamental) fridge, kettle and safe. Tea and coffee restocked daily, but no milks or creamers - always have my own so no issue. Great idea of refillable water carton but more points of refill other than the gym (especially when its raining) would be nice. Large TV with several UK channels, no USB ports but enough sockets. Our diddy balcony was aesthetically pleasing and had great views over to the lake and mountain, but completely lacked privacy. The towel rail came in useful but it was apparent others felt uncomfortable too especially with the neon night light. The chair and stool combo is a bit uncomfy for one, but impressively when I raised this on my online survey day 2 another chair thoughtfully appeared. We enjoyed excellent food and drinks around the pool which was truly peaceful and relaxing........no kids, idiots or bed hoggers! Supermarket across the road, but loads around the area as too restaurants and shops. 5 mins walk to beach and about 30 mins along the promenade to Port with good choice of restaurants, 20 mins further to the Old Town. The hotel is bright modern and immaculate inside and out. The staff professional, friendly and an absolute pleasure. Even the storms could not spoil our stay, we loved it and would certainly return.

The Bamboo is a wonderful hotel, clean rooms and public areas, a very nice pool and sun beds, and poolside bar, and a great breakfast served each morning. As a blind solo traveller, I really appreciated the help and friendliness of all of the staff in the hotel. Each and every one of them did what they could to help me. I am an independent blind person, but it was reassuring to know that the staff were on hand all the time to support me if required. I knew I was in good hands as soon as I walked through the door at 2am to be welcomed and checked-in by Max, who describes himself as “just the night guy”. He’s much more than that, he’s extremely intelligent, fluent in Spanish, Catalan, English, German and Chinese! Max showed me to my room, gave me an orientation tour of the room, and advised that if I needed anything at all, just dial 9# from the phone and he’d be right there. He was so friendly, each evening, if he saw me in the lounge bar when he came on shift, he would always pop over for a friendly chat. Roxanna gave me an orientation tour of the hotel, and I was well served by Monica and Isa at the pool bar, Christina and Manuel in the restaurant, Paco and Junior at the lounge/terrace bar, and Manuel and the rest of his team at reception. Octfabio, the pool lifeguard was also on hand to ensure I got to where I wanted to be. I spoke to the hotel manager before I left, and told him that he should be very proud of his fabulous team, Although the hotel itself is excellent, his team are his biggest asset. He told me he certainly was very proud of them. I will definitely be returning to the Bamboo next year.

“Overall lovely hotel”

A lovely spotless hotel with a well designed room and spacious balcony and for a solo person - the room design was great. A lovely spotless hotel with a well designed room and spacious balcony and for a solo person - the room design was great. I went half board and breakfast was great - lots choice and fresh and lovely staff in restaurant. The dinners however but repetative and I was glad when it came to my last night of eating them. Housekeeping do excellent job of cleaning as hotel is faultless. Staff mostly lovely but a few are stand offish - particularly at the coffee and cake area - one girl is quite rude and unfair to name her but she shouldn't be in hospitality. I also noticed that you get treated bit more premium if you book direct with hotel. I booked as package but this was a expensive break so I am unsure why. When I checked in, I had to stand and wait almost 10 minutes and was offered self check in. I don't think self check in is great welcome after a travel so I waited but a seat offered would have been better. The couple in front was given a complimentary cocktail card as they seemed to have booked direct and nothing to me. Also on check out, the male on reception built zero rapport and not even "did you enjoy stay" or thank you and I wasn't given a voucher for 20% discount on next stay and others did. I did speak to female manager at end re the breakfast (I paid for breakfast on last day) and gave her feedback and she was really lovely and did hand me a 20% voucher. This is a great hotel but some staff need to really be better at engaging and friendly to make it 4 star ! Pool areas are so clean and peaceful

“Modern Hotel”

Stayed here for one night, it was right at end of season so incredibly quiet! Hotel and pools were spotless, really helpful and friendly reception staff. Rooms were on the small size but well equipped. Toilet was tiny. Beach only 2 mins away, and hotel looks out over a huge lake.
