We have just returned from a lovely family holiday which was overall very good Starting with a few negatives first the rooms were quite small for 2 Adults and 2 children and although the air-conditioning worked reasonably well it did struggle with the exceptionally hot weather The main issue for me was the pool there was quite a build up of suntan lotion on the surface and noticeably bright yellow grime along the tiles i think the pool looked like it needed a good scrub The Children's pool was fine . There was a life guard sat a the pool all day .. The food was of good quality and always hot and fresh However there was little aimed at the children there was no chicken nuggets or pizza the kids were living on mainly chips A few families complained with us to the hotels credit pizzas were added the following night. Another disappointment was the lack of Children's club which is advertised on Jet 2 website Also AI doesn't Include ice cream and icelolies like calypso etc from the fridge at the bar Only ice cream tubs in the dining room No pool snack bar as such for AI you had to dry off and go to main dining room which was a bit annoying Snacks were hit n miss but lots of pastries 🍰 etc hot dogs The breakfast and evening meals were better than a lot of 4 stars I have visted... Chef always coming out checking everything was up to his standard Apparently the Hotel has to have over 23 children staying to justify having extra entertainment staff 🙄 This wasn't made clear beforehand Entertainment was non existent in the evening for children and started quite late at 9.30 But had good singers and a brilliant magician which the children loved one evening That said the staff were always lovely with the children. The location is beautiful overlooking the beach There are some steps down to the beach directly from the hotel i have a bad knee but found them manageable The beach is sandy and shallow very safe for children It is quite rocky if you want to swim out tho ! The hotel itself was spotlessly clean The Housekeeping staff worked very hard. They supplied us with clean sheets and towels everyday ! Which was very welcome in 37 dgs The staff were exceptional always smiling and happy to help The hotel had a warm family atmosphere ☺️ One of my favourite things about the hotel was the compact layout everything next to each other The balcony was huge with sunloungers overlooking the beach We were on the 1st floor so could see the sea but next floors up could. The showers were always hot ... As in other Reviews the bath was a bit awkward as the shower was over it but okay to stick kids in ... which we did one night at midnight to cool them off 😆 Beds were comfortable as wss sofa bed . We met some lovely people and couples who had been returning to this hotel year after year But think on the whole Globales is more suited to Adults I would turn with just my husband I think Solo travellers would find this hotel very safe 👌 I booked this for me and my daughter in law and our 2 Grandaughters at the last minute and didn't break the bank at all Got a really good deal, with Jet 2 seamless logistics to and from hotel 👍 We all had a lovely quality time together ❤️

“A good hotel - BUT!”

Stayed here the last week in June. Very nice greeting at reception and made to feel very welcome. Although it was nearly 11:00 pm when we checked in we were offered a meal which we declined. A nice touch though The room was nice and clean with a balcony looking out towards the beach. Having just arrived the room was very hot so we put the air conditioning on and went to bed. We awoke during the night to find the room was still hot and that the air con was simply blowing warm air! The following morning we complained about the poor air conditioning (as did many others), we were told that there was nothing they could do about it, but if we wanted we could hire additional Aircon from them for €100 for the week! This is not acceptable. We found that throughout the hotel that the air con was very poor. The meals are what you would expect for a 3* AI establishment as also was the range of drinks available at the bar. Location wise it is perfect for a nice sandy beach and safe bathing in a small cove. However don't expect to find loads of shop nearby, there's only one small supermarket. Found all of the staff very friendly, a real credit to the hotel. All in all a very nice stay, however would not return due to the very poor air conditioning around the hotel .

Good location with a small beach with beautiful clear water right on the hotel doorstop. There is a lifeguard which is good but there are no sunbeds and not a lot of shade, so we went and bought a brolly. Good location with a small beach with beautiful clear water right on the hotel doorstop. There is a lifeguard which is good but there are no sunbeds and not a lot of shade, so we went and bought a brolly. There are also a couple of bars done there but we didn't go i to them so can't comment as to what they were like. The hotel is kept very clean and tidy. The only thing I'd say is that I never saw anyone cleaning the pool, but having said that it seemed pretty clean. There are plenty of sunbeds around the pool, and there is a grassed area where you can sit that has a bit more shade. The staff are fantastic, they are really helpful and friendly and are a huge credit to the hotel. There's an entertainment team who lay on things like boules, darts and then bingo in the evening. When we were there a couple of singers were there in the evenings, plus a magician. The food is really nice, we stayed a week and there were quite a few different choices most evenings. The breakfast is pretty standard for a buffet in a hotel, but I've stayed in 4 star places where the food was nowhere near as good. My only negative is the air-conditioning. It was quite hot for June, high 20s to low 30s every day and it was hot at night and the A/c in the room just felt like a fan and it made it uncomfortable at night, it didn't seem to be doing any 'conditioning'. Most people seemed to be saying the same. It was hot in the restaurant so we tried to get a table out on the small terrace where there was a cool breeze. Overall our stay was really nice and we had a very relaxing week. I probably wouldn't stay again though until the a/c is sorted out.
