overall this hotel is great for children. the transfer (private) from the hotel was roughly around 20 minutes. When we got there we checked in and was given our room key. The hotel did want the local tax paid by card, however reluctantly did take cash. The rooms are small, and they appear even smaller if you have two children as the room will have bunk beds. The furniture on the balcony was only two chairs however the room was fine, bath with shower, mini fridge and hair dryer. The cleaners came everyday and did a good job. The hotel has many things for children to do including three swimming pools and a adults only pool. I must admit the children's pool is freezing, however the two larger pools were not as cold. There is water slides as well. There was a playground for the children, mini golf, volleyball and bouncy castles (5pm-9pm) as well. The children's club is available which was ok, however the day my child went there could have been more interaction with the children from the staff. There is also a club house which has amusement toys which you need to pay for. There was a children's disco every evening where the children who participated in the activities during the day got rewarded with a certificate. The evening entertainment was good, and there was something on every night - ABBA night, white party, circus etc. This starts at 9:30pm and finishes at around 10:30-11pm. Throughout the day you can go to either bar to get drinks and snacks. There was a pizza hut and at the other bar was chicken nuggets, chips and hotdogs. If you ask the bar staff they're able to give you ice cream in a pot which is free however this isn't advertised. The bars do offer other ice creams and food like chicken wings however this will need to be paid for. The food across the two restaurants was nice and there was always something to find to eat. The beach is lovely, however they do not provide sunbeds on the beach. Along the beach is a path and at the end of both parts of the paths is outside restaurants. We ate at the open wood fire restaurant which was lovely. They had supermarkets and a bar at one end of the path. There is also a bus stop which will take you to the towns, markets, zoo and waterpark. We had a great time at this hotel and my daughter loved her stay and would like to go back.

Stayed here for a week in June. First impression on arrival were that is was a very busy hotel which mainly consisted of families. The rooms were adequate and big enough for a family of 3. Stayed here for a week in June. First impression on arrival were that is was a very busy hotel which mainly consisted of families. The rooms were adequate and big enough for a family of 3. The rooms were clean and contained free air-conditioning. Only negatives would be the lack of extra pillows and the thin walls which means that you can hear noise from the rooms around you. The restaurants were good - block B restaurant being slightly bigger and better. Food was always warm. Food selection wasn't as much as previous hotels I've visited but the food quality was very good The bars were great and ques weren't very long for alcoholic drinking. Soft drinks you can help yourselves and plenty of cups always available. The pools were cleaned daily and opened at 9.30am. There were people queuing early at the pool gates and running to get sunbeds but we always had no problems getting any without the need to run like a saddo 😂. The hotel grounds were well maintained and provided a lot of facilities for children which included a football pitch, Mini golf, Games arcade, play park and an inflatable park. Location is good, quiet area with direct access to a beautiful bay. Negatives would be the gym - requires updating, not many weights and weight machines available... We also found the evening adult entertainment to be very poor apart from the karaoke night... This definitely needs improving. Would I return? Yes I would overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Overall, impressed and relieved after seeing a lot of negative reviews. The biggest issue is unfortunately fellow Brits on holiday. Not looking after their kids round the pool when drunk in the day, smoking/vaping round the pool and playing music out loud off phones, stealing others' towels and kids pool toys. Also being really obnoxiously loud returning from entertainment late at night and letting kids run wild until very late - walls are paper thin. Hotel need to come down much harder on all this as they spoil it. Also the bundle for sunbeds - kids shallow pool much quieter and better later in day. More shade here would be good. Pools are quite cold, with the wind off the sea you need a really hot day to make them bearable. Buffet food was really good, restaurant is beautiful and has the most fantastic views of the bay. There's two main dishes and then every salad/pasta/chips to add. Breakfast has every item imaginable. All sittings need to be started earlier as 7.45am, 1pm and 7.15pm is late for kids who eat early. Coffee machines are turned off after breakfast, only one available in Block A is at the bar in the day. Rooms were very clean. Bunks have a few sharp screws and weird ladders - pull out the bedsheet to cover the screws sticking out as sharp. Bathroom is ancient but clean and water hot. Worth paying for a sea view - views are truly incredible, especially for a 3*. Balcony big with 2 chairs, and lit at night. The huge water slides are brill, and have a lifeguard controlling timed descent at top and bottom. Kids playpark on-site is brill, looks new. Burgers and hot dogs at snack bar in the day are vile, really cheap nasty meat but pizza corner (6.30pm) is great. Self-service proper coffee machine, Estella on tap, branded coke/fanta and slushies for kids all day. Didn't try other alcohol but a lot of people were drinking cherry brandy. Have a dairy free child - dessert at buffet is ice cream or cheese/cream cakes, so they couldn't have. You can buy branded ice lollies at the bar for €3.30 as these are not included in AI. Also there is proper gelato you can buy. Alternative milks (soya, almond, lactofree) are out at breakfast but not at other sittings. The on site supermarket sells oat milk if you want it for coffee/tea in the day. I took my thermal cup and put some lactofree in at breakfast, and kept it cold in the room fridge. There's also a cold water filter tap in buffet/at bar where you can fill your reusable bottles. We kept in room fridge overnight so we always had cold water. Cleaning ladies of the rooms are very nice. Most staff pleasant. I accidentally locked my key in the room and they made a fuss (despite having a master key), being rude about me in Spanish thinking I couldn't understand. You only get 1 room key as they 'can't make anymore', very annoying if you have kids. There's an exit direct to the beach at level -1 in Block A. Beach is phenomenal. You'll need your own towels - some had branded Aguamarina ones but we couldn't find. On site shop sells parasols for €15, we bought one for kiddos. Jellyfish came in shoals one day which was a shame as the sea was gorgeously clear and much warmer than the pools. Council come early every day to empty bins etc. There's lots of indoor seating areas with air con in block A, really modern and fancy looking with great views of sea. Also a large balcony with seating overlooking the sea. A washing rack on balcony would be really good. Overall, really good for a 3* hotel, they could easily call themselves 3*+. If loud late night guests were thrown out, I'd return. Otherwise I wouldn't as it's so disruptive.

We recently stayed at Club Aguamarina for 10 days, the hotel looked lovely on arrival, the staff were friendly and we got checked in very quickly. Our room was ample for what it was needed for, a little on the smaller side but we only slept and got ready in there so was perfect. We also had a sea view room, which I would definitely recommend as the view was beautiful and was lovely to see first thing in the morning. The sunsets over the sea were also stunning, very picturesque! Although, we were on level -3 which was just under the restaurant level, so at night it’s very loud with staff putting tables and chairs back. This noise continued until at least 1am in the morning, which was very inconvenient for us as we had a sleeping baby. The hotel has lots to do especially for children, we were a group of 11 with 6 adults and 5 children of different ages. There was something to do for each of them. The park was very good, the selection of pools to choose from as well as the splash park and waterslides. In the evening there’s also the bouncy castles and go-karts, there’s always something to do! We also enjoyed the foam party! The children loved the Aguanimals with Linky being a firm favourite! The location of the hotel is perfect too, the beach is stunning and a short walk, although the path down from the hotel has a permanent gate so we couldn’t get the pram down, I’d recommend walking along the wooden promenade outside of the hotel if you have prams. As the week went on we definitely saw a lot of problems with the hotel. The restaurants were very busy and people were queueing to get in for food as well as inside the restaurant, we didn’t eat in there at least 6 times out of 10 days due to it being so busy and not able to get a table. The food was also repetitive and bland, we found it very difficult to eat in there most days as we got so bored of eating the same things. Not much variety at all! In my opinion it’s the worst all inclusive food I’ve ever had. The restaurant also opens at 7:15pm which I found quite late as mini disco starts at 8:15pm so everyone that has a child attending mini disco would be there at that time. The snack bar was okay, the children more or less lived off the food from there because the restaurant food wasn’t great for them! Although the pizza truck was the best place to eat in my opinion. Also the food isn’t labelled correctly or even labelled at all, I had ice cream which I thought was caramel and it turned out to be hazelnut, luckily I’m not allergic but this could cause a major problem if someone with a nut allergy was to try it. The sun-bed wars in the morning was also very pathetic, people queuing at each gate ready for the 9:30am rush! It kind of ruined the holiday as it could be quite stressful. The lifeguard opens the gates and you have to wait for the whistle, then run to the sun-beds you require. Some mornings people looked like wild animals!! The pool areas were clean but people eating around the pool were too lazy to take their rubbish to bins which resulted in a gang of seagulls swarming the leftover food! The seagulls were also a huge problem for us as they linger constantly and there’s also a lot of poo over people and towels!! The all inclusive drinks were okay, just basic spirits and lager on draught, no cocktails which was so disappointing as they are €9 each with mocktails being €8.20. The soft drinks are self-serve which is great but this also brings a problem with wasps, they are everywhere! The toilets inside the hotel were a nightmare, 2 adult toilets and one child toilet which then caused a lot of queues for the women. The floor was always soaking and dirty in the days and I found they were never stocked up, always running out of hand towels and soap! The baby changing was also in the communal sink area which I found quite uncomfortable to use as it was so open and felt like I had no privacy to change my baby, so I never used it. We also found that this hotel seemed to be some sort of school trip place, there were large groups of young children visiting, so it made the place seem really busy! We stayed in block A and the lifts were an absolute nightmare!!! They are so slow, we were waiting ages for the lift to turn up as we had a pram, it would then take you to every other floor bar the one you actually want. They’re also very small and only have 2 lifts for 7 floors! We ended up carrying the baby and the pram down the stairs as we got so fed up of waiting. We did have a lovely time as we just made the best of a bad situation, I do recommend eating out though for a break. We ate at the Chinese, Indian and the Backgammon, all were so nice! All in all, we wouldn’t return unfortunately and 10 days was definitely too long at this hotel, it was kind of like Butlins in the sun.

Be aware dinner is not until 7.30 in the evening which is difficult with young children like ours. Cocktails not included in the all inclusive. Pizza corner was really really lovely ! Lunch and dinner hit and miss with options. Not a big varied choice but what food we did have was delicious. Be aware big water slides are for 6 and over. Free bouncy castles every night and lovely park for the kids. Swimming pool in block A is lovely 1/2 the pool is shallow , perfect for kids. Beach is really lovely but be aware currently no sunbeds so no shade.
