Very comfortable studio apartment, spotless, has everything we need. Idea for us grandparents. Nice 12 min walk into centre. Kidd evening entertainment is hit and miss, and evening drinks service is poor. Lunch operation at the beach bar needs a total reorganisation, current system is not efficient…. Maybe the kitchen can’t support such a large menu..?? Overall very well maintained property in idilic settle. So relaxing.

We had twelve wonderful days at Inturotel Esmeralda Park with our 1.5-year-old son. What immediately stands out is how clean the resort is and how new everything looks. The reception staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We booked the most basic room, but it was perfectly adequate for us and was cleaned impeccably every day. The resort is very child-friendly, which is reflected in the large number of families with young children staying there. The apartment buildings are no higher than three floors, which helps prevent the resort from feeling overly crowded or massive. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of choices and plenty of options. There was also more than enough to keep our son entertained—he had a fantastic time on the beach, in the sea, and in the various swimming pools. To access the Drago Land Splash pool, the three of us had to pay an entrance fee of €27.50. Quite expensive, but in hindsight we felt it was worth it. The many water slides were amazing for our son, and the pool itself was pleasantly quiet. We visited it for one day; on the other days we used the free pool, which was also more than satisfactory. One downside of Drago Splash, however, was the unfriendly staff. The pool was supposed to close at 5:30 PM, but at 5:20 PM we were already being rather rudely ushered out. In addition to the children's pools, there was also an adults-only pool where Mom and Dad could relax during our little one's afternoon nap. So why four stars instead of five? Quite a few things broke down in the apartment during our stay. We experienced bathroom leaks on two separate occasions, the sink drained poorly once, and the elevator was out of service for an entire day. That's quite a lot in just a week and a half. To be fair, all issues were resolved very quickly by the friendly staff. Another disappointment was the limited amount of elevated storage space. We had very few cupboards available for storing our belongings, which meant our room constantly felt cluttered. The ants in the bathroom were also unwelcome. In addition, the kitchen equipment was rather sparse. We would have liked to cook in our room more often, but this was challenging due to the limited number of pans, utensils, and cutlery. The very limited selection of meat and vegetables in the nearby supermarkets did not help either, leaving us with the feeling that we were more or less forced to eat out. That said, this was hardly a punishment given the abundance of excellent restaurants within walking distance. Cala d’Or is very lively and enjoyable in the evenings. We highly recommend visiting the town center using the tourist train that departs from next to the resort, although you do need a bit of luck because punctuality does not seem to be a priority when it comes to the timetable. One thing we found unfortunate was that breakfast only starts at 8:00 AM and the swimming pools do not open until 10:00 AM. It would have been wonderful to take an early morning swim. Then again, life simply starts a little later here than we are used to in the Netherlands. The area around Cala d’Or does not offer a huge amount of attractions. With our rental car (which was perfectly arranged and an excellent vehicle), we drove to Santanyí, but unless you visit on a market day (Wednesday or Saturday), there is not much to do there. The capital, Palma, is about an hour's drive away. That can be quite a journey with a small child, but we still felt it was well worth the trip. There are also several small coastal towns nearby, but none of them could match the beautiful views around the bay of Cala d’Or. In summary, Inturotel Esmeralda Park is a clean, well-maintained, and highly family-friendly resort in a stunning location. The friendly staff, excellent facilities, and enjoyable swimming pools made this a wonderful family holiday for us. However, the technical issues in the apartment, limited storage space, and a few practical shortcomings prevented it from quite reaching the level of a five-star experience. Nevertheless, we look back on our stay very fondly and would certainly recommend the resort to families with young children.

Esmeralda park is a great place for kids and family situated behind a beautiful little cove which is very busy It had been recently refurbished to 4 * However some aspects need attention, especially as this is an expensive experience. We were a group of 11 , 6 adults, 5 under 7s . We booked 3 superior sea view apartments which on the surface are very pleasant and views lovely. We requested adjacent rooms but were told this was impossible on arrival- for some reason Improvements needed : Room 1 - ground floor was ant infested- family moved to acceptable room Room 2 air con remained faulty for duration of stay despite technician calling 3 times- heat very unpleasant Room 3 smelled badly of sewerage all week despite being reported several times The newly built Drago land onsite is very expensive and should be included in the price. We had a free visit included but would definitely not pay to visit again . We were concerned about the amount of bird droppings surrounding the site needs as lack of parasols made staying impossible for us. The children’s mini disco program could include more variety although the lion king theatre was very good The old dog Truro used to appear on several evenings but the new dragon only appeared once which was disappointing Also kids club has been relocated to a less accessible place Staff are friendly and people lovely , food is very good and lots of variety but improvements to maintenance and customer service are needed .

Overall, solid hotel in a great location Fabulous Adults Only Pool What let is down for us was one lady at reception (she covered her name tag when I tried to see it, think it was Alina / Alice - middle aged). We had paid 70 Euro for late check out and our keys were disconnected at 11a on the day (instead of 6pm). That's fine - these things happen. Went to reception to get them reactivated. She was nothing but rude and actually rolled her eyes blatantly at me. Again, ok I can deal with that - we all have bad days. Went to room and keys didn't work - proceeded to do this two more times until a set worked. I then asked for fresh bathroom towels since our room had not been serviced and I was told no (despite the Spanish guest in front of me requesting them and being offered). They hold extra toweIs at reception (I know this as on our second day I popped in to ask for robes, which the hotel strangely does not offer, but there was a lovely lady at reception who gave me two extra towels). Back to the hostile front desk worked - I politely rebutted that I thought it was a reasonable request to ask for two fresh towels given I had to return to reception three times for new keys and we'd also paid 70 additional for late check out. She then again rolled her eyes at me, huffed, went and got the towels and actually threw them at me. You could tell the other desk staff were mortified by her behaviour. One came over and asked if I was ok. I just wanted to enjoy our last day and this really put a sour note on it. This lady needs serious customer service training quick!
