We went on a family holiday for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. 8 adults and 4 kids ranging from 2-12 years old. We had an amazing holiday. From start to finish everything was great. The facilities were fabulous and we never once struggled to get a sunbed at the main or kids pool. The entertainment was great and very family friendly, we were all inclusive and the snacks and drinks and food at the pool bar were great. Our rooms were lovely, comfortable beds and nice and quiet. Great black out curtains which was handy for the 2 year olds nap. The food was something we were a little apprehensive about as several reviews said it was "fine but a bit repetitive" I can only assume these are people who want pizza chicken and chips, which was a limited selection and very similar every night but all the other food was outstanding,lots of different meat and fish, a different theme each night including Asian, Spanish and surf and turf to name a few. Breakfast and lunch were equally great, so much choice of you like trying different things. Location is great, 10min walk to the water park - which does a discounted afternoon rate from 230 onwards which is great as it's not huge. Also 15 min walk to the marina and a few shops and restaurants 5min up the road. We took the local bus to citadelle one day which was simple and reception were very helpful letting us know which bus etc. The indoor facilities, pool and gym are also great, we used the indoor pool a few days to get out of the heat with the little one. The kids pools is amazing, great depth and all the slides are fab, my only negative is the nearest toilet to it is by the main pool which is across the road (very quiet delivery road with gates at both sides to stop kids running onto it). I would absolutely recommend this hotel with families, I think teenagers who don't want to spend the whole time in the pool may be a little bored but 12 and under was amazing we will hopefully return soon.

Zafiro Menorca is a great hotel. The drop off took about an hour, the Cala N Bosch hotels are all close together and Zafiro was the first stop. The room was great, loads of space (family of 3), fridge and freezer (essential as we have to bring lots of our own food), TV (with UK channels), comfy beds, great balcony, great shower etc. Pools were great, often busy but still with lots of space. Sun loungers quite hard to find on occasion but no big deal. Our son loved the play pool with the fountain and bounce thingy. The Aquarock water park is about 15 mins walk away and brilliant for kids. Well worth a visit. Restaurant was ok. Estrella on tap, loads of food choices. Standard for all-inclusive with some nice stuff and the odd bits and pieces to be avoided. Nothing spectacular. All the staff were really on it, friendly and attentive. Cala N Bosch harbour is abut 10-15 mins walk. Loads of places to eat and drink and a great outlook. The shops are full of the usual tat and nothing else which was a bit disappointing. e.g. tried to find a shop that sold a decent speaker but nothing like that available, if like me, you're into spending a bit on holiday like money is no object...and worry about it later!! Ciutadella is a must visit. About 20 mins away by bus from outside the hotel. We came back in a taxi for only 13 euro. Great places to eat and drink and some excellent scenery and architecture. Not sure we'll return to Cala N Bosch as nice as it is, but if we do, Zafiro is where we will stay.

Having stayed at the Zafiro in 2016 and 2017 and had a fantastic family holiday then with our two boys (4 and 10 then) we returned again in 2024 and 2025 and have just returned this year after another amazing holiday. I'm very pleased to say that this year was just as good if not even better than the previous two years. We were very warmly welcomed back by Manuel the Hotel Manager, who recognized us from our previous visits as well as many of the staff who also seemed genuinely pleased to see us again. This welcome and the genuine affection shown is why we, like many other visitors we also recognized from previous years, come back to Zafiro Menorca year after year. Many of the other families I spoke with have been coming here for close to 10 years now. The Water Bubble in the main pool continues to be a fantastic feature and will keep kids of all ages busy for hours, our son is 13 and spent hours playing on it. We also used some of the smaller pools around the complex. All pools are well looked after, kept clean and have lifeguards most of the day. Regarding pools, you should be aware that Menorcan law prohibits the use of any inflatables, if you're told you can't use them it's because it's the law not because the hotel are being difficult. My advice, don't waste your money buying one. Food and dining options are a huge part of our holidays and an area I would say the Zafiro continues to excel at compared to other similar locations. The pool bar menu is amazing and we ate lunch there there everyday. The restaurant also has fantastic choices. Even very picky eaters when it comes to food should be able to find something they like - the freshly made pizzas are a great choice for example. The choice of wines, drinks and cocktails is amazing too. All the staff do a great job, especially the cleaners and waiting staff who are constantly making sure the whole complex is always clean. The free Wi-Fi I think has improved since last year, especially in the public areas and means everyone can easily take part in the nightly Kahoot quiz after the daily show. We all loved getting involved in this. I also loved the addition of the Sax player at the main pool on Wednesday afternoons about 5pm. Great vibes in the sunshine and something a little different. Manuel and his team do an amazing job everyday to make sure you have a great holiday. Our son wore a rock band T-shirt most days we went for dinner, one of the restaurant staff recognized the bands and would talk to him about them. On the last day she give him a (detailed!) print out of some of her favorite Spanish bands and songs to check out. It's these little details that make you feel welcome and not like the staff are going through the motions and makes you want to come back again. The only small problem we had was some cladding above our balcony came loose during some very high winds one night. I spoke to reception about it and someone came to fix it within an hour. If you have any problems them Manuel and his team are there to help. We already can't wait to go back again next year.
