“Lovely hotel”

We booked and paid for a swim up room. We didn’t get a proper swim up room. We had a garden room with access to pool. We booked and paid for a swim up room. We didn’t get a proper swim up room. We had a garden room with access to pool. We expected to walk from our terrace a couple of steps to pool, but we had to walk about 5 metres from our garden gate. Only about 7 rooms in our block were swim up rooms others had hedge in front of them. So we were disappointed. We asked to be moved to proper swim up room they only had 2 to choose from but terrace was small so we decided to stay in our room and use sunbeds that were available along one side of pool. The hotel and room was very clean and the grounds really pretty. Staff friendly and helpful especially Marga from reception.

Supermarkets close by bus routes also local restaurants not the best but marina about a 15 minute walk and much better hotel itself needs some major updating our room 1109 not much of a view garden as described on website is more of an overgrown woods the room itself lots of cracked floor tiles which if not carefull you could cut your feet on also grout on tiles dirty air con was good a big thanks to marga at reception who was so helpful when asking to keep our room on after being told by other receptionists it was not possible so overall great for kids and families

“Amazing family holiday - fab resort!”

We visited in June for a family holiday with our almost 2 year old and we had a wonderful time. The hotel lobby is welcoming with nice staff and they made sure we had early check in which was so nice of them. We visited in June for a family holiday with our almost 2 year old and we had a wonderful time. The hotel lobby is welcoming with nice staff and they made sure we had early check in which was so nice of them. The downstairs indoor pool and gym area is adequate - we didn’t use it but it looked clean. Our room didn’t disappoint with a perfect kitchenette, lovely big bed and a nice spacious cot for our son. The bathroom was nice and our room was always cleaned and always fresh towels. Also enjoyed the balcony, we had sun all evening and it was great. The food at the buffet was really nice (as buffets go) there was always something tasty to eat, no flies, fresh air con and friendly staff. I would say that although they are very accommodating with allergies when asked, the labels on the foods arn’t very accurate and informative and most food isn’t labelled so if you have a severe allergy or intolerance then it could be a struggle. The pool bar was fabulous (what amazing staff) and the drink and food choice there is one of the best. Personally very much enjoyed the matcha latte with honey and the Katsu curry and too many pina coladas. Outstanding service and I couldn’t fault it at all! There are plenty of different pools to choose from and always lots of sunbeds. I will say that I think the pools are best suited to slightly older children - we was at an awkward age where he wasn’t quite big enough for the slides but wanted to go on them etc. but there is a small baby pool where you can take toys and that is a lovely little space. My only complaint would be the children’s play section. The slide is open top and in my opinion really dangerous and I personally don’t like bouncy castles, especially not ones with 20 children on them. I think there is an accident waiting to happen there and it made me uncomfortable . Aside from that, the children’s entertainment was really inclusive and Izzy the Koala was such a hit, my son still sleeps with his teddy! I can’t wait to return to a Zafiro resort but will likely wait until my son is atleast 4, so he can really enjoy all what’s to offer. The evening entertainment was fine. I think there could be a few more staff for the evening bar but aside from that it was enjoyable. We also loved walking to the harbour and exploring all the restaurants and gorgeous bars there, and sunsets on the beach and lighthouse. Overall such a gorgeous resort, I give 4 stars only because of the children’s safety issues mentioned particularly for the younger ones.a few improvements in this area and I would wholeheartedly recommend and give 5 stars!
