I have just returned today from this hotel & we didn’t actually book this one originally. We arrived at the hotel we did book & immediately asked to leave as it was disgusting! We got here the 2nd day of our week holiday & we were beyond happy. The room was clean and modern, we had a swim up suite which we loved. Also close to everything, the food was lovely, drinks all branded, service second to none. Entertainment staff so good with the kids & so much to do. Our 2 children loved the big bouncy pillow and kept them busy all day. Hotel faultless & definitely recommend for families. Thank you for saving our holiday Zafiro!!

We continue to love this hotel. We are up to 14 fantastic holidays at this wonderful hotel. So that must give an idea of how much we enjoy it there. Every year we see a very high percentage of returning guests which says a lot. Some have become really good friends. (They are nearing 20 holidays here) It's a great location, close to marina, beaches and lighthouse for some superb sunsets. There are some great walks either towards Son Xoriguer and beyond along the Cami de Cavalls coastal pathway or heading towards Ciutadella, which is a beautiful town. The great strength of this hotel and the main reason we return year after year will always be the staff and how well we are treated. Manuel, the hotel manager should be very proud of his staff. They all work so hard. Most of the staff have been there for many years and it's lovely to be recognised and welcomed back every year. All inclusive works for us. Most guests stay on an AI basis and I'm sure nearly all are very happy with the food which is plentiful and varied and also good quality of branded drinks. Breakfasts are particularly good. I've read that some say the food can be a little repetitive. We don't find that and guess that's just because people choose the same options from a wide selection. I'm sure self catering will also work for many with supermarkets being just a few minutes walk away. The pools are great, although can be really warm at height of Summer and a little chilly in low season. Rooms are more than adequate and the air conditioning works well. The bed is super comfy and there is a good shower with decent water pressure. If I'm being picky, there are areas needing a coat of paint but this is a minor issue. The bacon in the morning could be better quality and I find the beef overcooked for my liking but minor points. Some rooms will be closer to night time entertainment (which all ends around half past ten) so for those with younger children or looking for a quieter room, then block 2 odd number room would be quietest. The animation team changes each year but many return year after year. (Cristian and Miriam are simply fantastic) and this year joined by Irene (so kind to our daughter) and Richie who was great too. So apologies for missing any of the staff names who always make things so special but big thanks to.. Manuel, hotel manager, Reception staff... Nuria, Marga and Santi (all absolutely fantastic, really kind people who can't do enough for the guests) Restaurant.... Felix, Aida,Uxia, Mar, Bea, Paula, Sebi Pool bar.... Maria!! (Just the nicest smiliest person), Alvaro (did his best to teach me Spanish), Joni, Tiwi, Diana,Jorg, Isaac, Aitana, Main bar..... Santi( an absolute star and such a really nice guy), Laura, Loli, Bernat Over the years I have walked through most of the hotels in Calan'bosch. Some may be more modern, more marble in the reception areas! but I can say Zafiro Menorca has the best feel about it. It's smaller but really is so relaxed and so very friendly. Hope to be back for visit 15 next year!

Overall a great holiday with a few niggles! We arrived at the hotel around 13.00 and one room was ready which was ok. We just put all our cases in there then went for food. The rooms are adequate. Overall a great holiday with a few niggles! We arrived at the hotel around 13.00 and one room was ready which was ok. We just put all our cases in there then went for food. The rooms are adequate. Beds are soft and the pillows hard! There are 2 mirrors which are both In the bathroom which I found strange. No mirror to do make up in the bedroom even though there’s a kind of dressing table. Pool is good with the bouncing pillow. Does get a little warm throughout the day. No inflatables allowed which is good, however if you have a child who won’t wear armbands then they will struggle in this pool as it’s not shallow. The pirate pool is great for non swimmers but the downside which I found infuriating is that is a pool for toddlers and no toilet or anywhere to get water to drink! You have to cross the road for both these things. If you are a single parent with 2 kids this is a challenge! Food and drinks I cannot fault. Neither can I the entertainment. They put chairs out for the kids to sit and watch which is great. I found a few ignorant parents who when the child hadn’t got a seat just grab a chair and sit in front of someone else! There is a bouncy castle and slide in this area which keeps kids occupied. The hotel is about a 15/20 minute walk to the marina but I think worth it. We went a few times. We also went to the smaller beach which had a strange smell! It was ok but didn’t go back. Staff are friendly. The cleaning was a bit hit and miss if I’m honest. Cleaned 5 days a week but In our 10 days I would say we had 5 days not cleaned. I’m not a messy person so I didn’t complain. It’s definitely a family hotel and kids are very safe here.
