We stayed here towards the middle/ end of August, so the peak of the English school holidays. The hotel was spotless, we are well travelled and we have never been to such a clean hotel. We were upgraded to a swim up room which was amazing, the hammock and sun lounges in the garden gave the kids and extra area to chill so we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. Buffet exceeded expectations and was always hot. Always an option for a fussy eater and vegetarian options too. The pool restaurant was a firm favourite for us at lunch…. The club sandwiches, ribs and pizzas were amazing! Lots of choice for pools, we often used the pool by our room as the main pool was often busy and noisy. We used the a la carte one evening which was also amazing. Staff very friendly, in particular the girls at the bar by the swim up rooms. Premium alcohol was a hit (I’m an aperol drinker). Waiter service at the evening entertainment was also great. We loved this hotel, we are now looking at either returning or trying another Zafiro hotel.

Stayed at this Hotel for 6 days with Family from the moment we walked into the Foyer it was plain to see the luxury and attentiveness from staff who made us welcome Accommodation was fantastic with a swim up pool to our ground floor room You can access the white sands of the beach in 2 minutes The Dunes opposite the hotel are a protected area of natural beauty and the beach and hotel swimming pools are manned by Lifeguards during the day which ensures Safe swimming The staff on all levels in the Hotel are friendly and helpful and willing to help with a smile at all times The food and service at mealtimes are on another level it’s a buffet style but the variety caters for all tastes and cultures The variety and theme changes most nights with complementary alcoholic drinks including prosecco and wine even at Breakfast. This is officially a 4 Star hotel but in my opinion is edgeing more closer to a 5 !! I cannot recommend this Hotel enough and will be back !

Family of four on a 7 night stay Room Spacious enough - nice large comfortable double bed with privacy door for adults -sharing bed for 9& 4 yr old-big enough and comfortable We stayed self catering -everything you need for making your own breakfast Balcony with good view of pools Food There is only one restaurant in the resort but is reserved for an affiliated hotel (not Zafiro) each evening - we had lunch their, bang average burgers & pizzas €70 The hotel buffet was really good value and we ate their 6/7 nights Lots of variety , standard good , staff very helpful - gets a little boring towards the end of our stay Go early - it’s absolutely packed from 7 and isn’t as enjoyable dodging kids carrying large plates of ice cream! Pools -all really good Little kids one has good slides Middle pool great for the 9 yr old with the wet bubble Top one deeper -more relaxed Two pools at the bottom of the resort where best with day beds -very quiet and relaxing Drinks and snacks all good by each pool Entertainment Kids club early every night - great for the 4 yr old Table service for drinks was excellent -prices reasonable Entertainment bang average but good fun Service Some great people work their , others just doing their job don’t expect 5 star treatment but everyone friendly and happy to help We’ve stayed at several Zafiro’s on the island. this is the oldest and probably least aesthetically pleasing and luxurious, however we had a lovely week, the nearby beach is excellent ( getting up for sunrise was special) but not much else to do in the resort Hire a car and check out Arta and other nearby beaches 8/10

“Not the consumate 4-star experience”

This hotel is not what you would expect out of a 4 star hotel. The room we were first assigned had a leaking roof gutter directly onto the tile floor of the balcony. There was also a lamp with exposed wired that was falling off of the wall. We have two very explorative and spirited toddlers so we immediately requested a room change. It took almost three hours of negotiating to and fro, waiting for technicians to come and assess the damage before we were finally allowed to change rooms. During that time we also dealt with a rather rude receptionist called Kristina. To be fair it seems like most of the staff are doing the best with what they have got, but it just falls short of what a 4-star experience should be. Even in the new room we were assigned the door separating the living room area from the bedroom was coming off of its hinges, the pullout bed in the living room has seen better days and the door locks seem really shoddily done. This hotel has potential to be better if they systematically looked after the property, repairing things as they go bad rather than wait til it's a hazard to parents with small kids. Location is fantastic though, and I imagine some of the rooms are in better conditions than others. Food is of a high standard, as are entertainment options for children.
