My wife and I fancied a small break so checked what was available on Jet 2 and ended up booking in at the Christina Apartments. So glad we did as they're really nice. The journey out was ok, the immigration process in the airport a nightmare and to transfer ok, although slightly long and somewhat uncomfortable, non of this, of course, reflects badly on the Christina Apartments though. On arrival we were greeted with a huge smile from the receptionist on duty, as we found out, it didn't matter which one was on duty, as they're all always smiling. we were shown to our room on the second floor. Upon entering, we were very impressed. Spotlessly clean, very well furnished and equipped, nice large balcony with a lovely view and a comfortable bed. The bedroom had lots of storage space and a safe in one of the wardrobes, not used. The apartments, whilst being centrally located, are far enough from the hustle and bustle of the town centre allowing for a peaceful nights sleep. We ate a couple times at the on site restaurant and the pool snack bar, both ok. The bar area, like every where else on the site, was spotlessly clean and the staff always smiling a lovely 'Hola' as we passed. We didn't really attend the night time entertainment, but could here it from our balcony. I wasn't really to our tastes, but everyone attending seemed to be enjoying themselves. Would we return? 100%

Firstly I have to commend the staff at the Cristina Villas. To name but a few are Tracy, Julie, Paco, Sebastian, Donna, Juan, Traya. If I have left any names out I apologise. The staff simply can't do enough for you. The apartments are situated in a quiet, residential area. They are beautifully maintained and are very clean. The cleaning staff and gardeners and maintenance staff work very hard to keep the complex extremely clean and tidy. The apartment I was in was a good size, the bed was super comfy. The balcony was large and very well placed for shade in the morning but sun all afternoon and into the evening. The room was cleaned I think every second day and bed changed frequently. The prices in the café and dining room and bar were pretty reasonable. Ants were spotted in the apartment. I reported this twice and it was dealt with on both occasions. There is a lovely quieter garden area with sun loungers and pergolas. I personally preferred this area as it was difficult at times to get a sun lounger around the pool. For most of my time there towels were being laid down to reserve the sun loungers usually around 7.30 am at the pool so thankfully in the garden area there were ample sun loungers. There was entertainment with kids disco, bingo and karaoke usually every night with a live singer on a Sunday evening. The apartments are about a 10 mins walk to Aldi and the shops and restaurants with the beach about another 5 mins walk. For me as a female solo traveller the apartments were a bit far away from the beach and the restaurant area but that's not a reflection on the apartments that's purely down to me. I didn't want to always eat in the complex restaurant in the evening so fortunately I did find a lovely Italian restaurant Amore Mio just 5 mins away. Finally (apologies for the long review) I would recommend these apartments to anyone looking at them. I'd say they are best suited to families with young children, couples and older people. Glad to be back!!! 3rd visit to these lovely apartments. Seen a few negative reviews! These apartments are way cheaper than most places in Cala Millor! Staff are lovely. Heads up to Tracey who got us the apartment we wanted! Blocks 1-3 are the best in My opinion. Upstairs ones get the sun… more

Heads up to Tracey who got us the apartment we wanted! Blocks 1-3 are the best in My opinion. Upstairs ones get the sun! Only downside for some people is the stairs up to them but staff will help with cases if required! We had sun all day. Spotless spacious apartment. Views to Na Penyal (we walked up a few times) Country lanes at the back. With small holdings. 5 min walk to Aldi. 12 mins to sea front! We’re hoping to come for a month in October

“From Essex without love...”

It's definitely a game of two halves, Brian. Upon arrival (after a two-hour coach transfer from Palma airport whose special assistance implimentation is disappointing), we experienced a less-than-cordial welcome from receptionist Tracey from Essex whose reputation is mentioned in earlier reviews here. Pleases and thank-yous were conspicuous by their absence and she directed us to our apartment at the far end of the terrace. It was roomy enough although the traditionally-Spanish dark brown wood shutters and doors made the bedroom really dark most of the time. It was clean, appeared to be well-maintained and no ants were seen for the duration of our stay. The lounge area has very few electrical points and the bedroom possesses a stool which is totally captive under a table at the foot of the beds: it's not easy to get from one side of the bedroom to the other. The position of the toilet is less than optimal: sitting upon said lavatory obliges one to assume a cramped position with a close-up view of the (chipboard) vanity unit. It should be noted that the apartment's front door is openable from the other side i.e from the street so you're obliged to lock yourself in if you don't fancy having strangers paying you a visit. The street door is directly opposite a large gate which, despite being assured that it would be closed every evening, wasn't and remained open 24/7. This is dubious security. There's a sizeable restaurant and pool bar which we didn't use and some sort of entertainment every evening; some of which was not a great draw in terms of guest interest. In conclusion: if you require a basic, clean apartment that is about fifteen minutes' walk from the large Aldi store and the sea-front, Cristina's gaff could fit the bill. The local Noddy train stops outside and there's a fantastic Italian restaurant - Amore Mio - just down the street. Overall rating: 7/10.
