I had a really nice stay at FERGUS Club Europa. The food was tasty with a good variety, so there was always something to choose from. My son had an amazing time on the water slides and really enjoyed the mini club, which made the stay even more relaxing for me. I would especially like to highlight Diogo from Guest Relations, who was incredibly helpful and professional. He assisted me with changing my room quickly and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. The location is also very convenient, with Mercadona and Lidl nearby, and the beach is just a pleasant 10-minute walk from the hotel. Overall, great service and a very enjoyable experience – I would definitely come back.

Location has gradients all around and in resort, so if your not mobile this us not the place for you. Booked this as adults only, but it's full of kids with no adult only areas. Food is fair, and never short of choice. Some steps are higher than the norm so care is required. Rooms are spacious and have everything you need. Free WiFi throughout the resort and great signal strenth. Staff are attentive but not interfering, the room staff speak little English. But that speaks more of me than them. Nice beaches within easy walking distance if your able but the hotel provides a free shuttle bus. There is a lid supermarket a few minutes walk away for essentials if needed. All areas are clean and well maintained. Unfortunately the room above had a large family, who moved furniture constantly and had heated discussions

We stayed for ten days, starting on Good Friday and overall we enjoyed it. Not the best start, we paid extra for Magnus and there is a dedicated Magnus check in but after standing there for half an hour and being ignored, we tried the other desk. I believe Easter is big in Spain and there were lots of Spanish guests, fair enough it's a Spanish hotel, but the reception staff were far more interested in serving them than anyone else, regardless how long they'd been waiting. We arrived late morning and the room wasn't ready, so we were told to come back at three. Given the state of reception when we arrived, I sent my husband back at two as I imagined the chaos it would be at three, with everyone there at the same time, our room was ready. I'd requested a room near to the facilities as I am ambulant disabled, but Magnus is all up the hill. Our Magnus suite was directly outside the bouncy pillow pool, once you're over the Magnus side everything is pretty flat, so it was fine. However the hills put me off using the Fergus side, where the entertainment and slides are because I knew I would be in a lot of pain if I had to navigate those hills all the time. As a result, we didn't see any entertainment or try the other restaurant and couldn't even have a drink in the evening as the Magnus bar closed at 6. It was stated as closing at 10, we had to buy wine in Lidl (five minutes walk) to drink in the evening. A bit much when you've already paid for all inclusive. We only ventured to Fergus a couple of times during the day and it wasn't our cup of tea. Too loud, too many unsupervised kids rushing around in gangs and diving down the slides straight onto other children. One landed on my son's head. So we stayed in Magnus the whole time, which was far more civilised and my son preferred the bouncy pillow to the slides anyway. The food is slightly above average all inclusive imo, we all enjoyed it and always found plenty to eat. Yes, it's cold but there is a microwave available and we only had to queue for a table once in ten nights. I dread to think what it was like in the Fergus side. Breakfast was the best meal, lots of choice and the coffee from the machine is good. The tea bags are terrible, you need three to get one small decent cup of tea, so maybe bring your own. We had robes but no slippers, a bottle of wine, a bottle of water, a KitKat, a can of coke and a juice carton in our room. The water was replaced sporadically. The coffee machine is Nespresso and there are four pods, not replenished and no milk. We just bought milk in the Lidl. No kettle but you can use the Nespresso machine for hot water and there is a microwave. The fridge isn't particularly cold but nothing went off in it. The young lad serving in the Magnus pool bar is lovely as are all the staff in the restaurant. The pools were FREEZING when we arrived, even my son said they were and he swims in the sea, in the UK, in March. We were lucky with the weather, 25/26 everyday, the pools did warm up a bit, it was bearable but not comfortable. I managed the walk into town fine, coming back I had to stop and rest twice because it's uphill but I did it, so it's not that bad. The shuttle bus is actually a coach and is very convenient. The town itself is geared towards Germans, not much to do for kids except the beach, which is lovely. There is a little upstairs shop halfway up the main boulevard that hires sun loungers for €2 and parasols for .75c, very good value. The sea is beautiful, calm, warm, shallow and there are lots of fish (mullet?) that aren't shy, good for some beginner snorkeling. Lots of beachside restaurants, very pleasant. We went on the boat trip, my son loved jumping off into the sea and we did the pirates show which is really good, recommend. The surrounding area is very hilly, it's mountains and beautiful. It was our anniversary and I'd mentioned it when I'd emailed to request a disability friendly location room and they left a bunch of flowers, some sweets, a bottle of cava and a lovely card in our room, very nice touch. Everywhere was clean, the staff don't stop cleaning. No English channels on our TV but I found out if you change the audio to original version, as long as it's a show that was made in English, it will play it in English. WiFi didn't work in our room, so my son sat outside the restaurant to use his iPad, he didn't mind. The beds are very comfortable, the Magnus suite was huge. Lovely shower, complimentary toiletries were pleasant. We enjoyed our stay but probably wouldn't visit again due to the lack of an open bar in the evening on the Magnus side, the pool temperature and it being a mainly German resort, no nightlife and no particularly kid friendly restaurants. Don't worry about the negative reviews, for what we paid I was more than happy with the holiday, some people just like complaining.
