We’ve just returned from an excellent week at the Universal Hotel Romantica. The staff were amazing throughout our stay – especially Joel, who really stood out with his friendliness and professionalism. Please pass on our thanks. The hotel was extremely clean, and the food in the restaurant was full of flavour with varied options every day. The water machines on each floor are a brilliant touch and make it easy to refill bottles. The location is perfect: a short walk takes you to the village centre with plenty of bars and shops, and if you continue a little further you reach the harbour with more restaurants, shops and a pharmacy. The hotel is right on the seafront and has a small beach, which was absolutely fine for relaxing and dipping into the sea. Our room was comfortable and offered a fantastic sunset view – especially from the rooftop bar, which became one of our favourite spots. The only negative was the sunbed situation. They are extremely hard to get, and some guests were reserving them very early in the morning. I even saw someone placing towels at 5am from my balcony. Some hotels actively prevent this, and I feel this hotel would benefit from a similar approach to keep things fair for everyone, rather than relying on paid reserved beds near the sea. Overall, a wonderful stay and we would happily return.

We had a really lovely week at the Universal Romantica it was a good location 10 minute walk to the lovely beach, & can walk the opposite way to the port & another beach, and we caught the Land train back. The staff all very friendly & helpful, food was very good, and all the staff worked very hard in the restaurant keeping on top of everything. The rooms were nice, the cleaners were always very busy keeping everywhere clean and tidy. Had a lovely rooftop bar at the top, we went up there to watch the sunset 🌅 I would recommend this hotel, and hopefully go back one day!

We stayed at Hotel Romantica for seven nights from 28th May with my husband and our 4-year-old, and overall we had a wonderful holiday. The room was on the small side but was spotlessly clean and well maintained throughout our stay. The food was definitely one of the highlights – absolutely delicious with plenty of choice at every meal, so there was always something for everyone. All of the staff were friendly, welcoming and worked incredibly hard to make guests feel comfortable. The pools were lovely and not too cold, making them perfect for both adults and children. The location is also excellent, with a supermarket just a short walk away and plenty of restaurants nearby if you fancy eating out or exploring the local area. It is a little on the pricey side, but it's a really nice place to stay and we enjoyed the atmosphere. The only thing we found a little strange was that, despite staying half board, drinks – even water – had to be paid for at dinner. It seemed odd when the same water was available free of charge elsewhere in the hotel just a short distance away. We were also a little disappointed with the evening entertainment. As it's a family hotel, having a singer on most nights didn't really keep our 4-year-old entertained. A bit more variety, such as children's activities, games or different shows, would make the evenings much more enjoyable for families. Overall, these were only minor points and didn't take away from a fantastic holiday. The delicious food, lovely staff, clean rooms and great location made for a really enjoyable stay, and we would happily return and recommend Hotel Romantica to other families.

Awesome Hotel with a nice vibe. Food was excellent and although we were BnB we paid for Dinner on 2 nights. Rooms were ok, and the location excellent. Don't visit Sant Jordi if you want to party. Awesome Hotel with a nice vibe. Food was excellent and although we were BnB we paid for Dinner on 2 nights. Rooms were ok, and the location excellent. Don't visit Sant Jordi if you want to party. Very quiet and excellent location for the sea. The only thing we didn't like was while sitting having Coffee after Breakfast and Dinner people were all smoking, there should be an area for people to smoke not on the seating near the restaurant.
