**A pleasant stay, but with some points that need improvement** We stayed at HM Palma Blanc and, overall, we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very pleasant, modern, clean and well maintained. The breakfast is definitely one of the highlights: it is generous, varied and of good quality. We particularly appreciated that our room was ready well before 3:00 pm on arrival. We also appreciated being able to keep the room until 12:00 pm on the day of departure, which was a very nice gesture and shows good attention to guests. However, there were a few points that disappointed us. On arrival, we were surprised and disappointed to be asked for our passports, even though we are French citizens and our identity cards were valid. Fortunately, all three of us had our passports with us, but the way this was requested felt rather unpleasant. For a hotel of this standard, we also regretted that more staff members did not speak French, which would have made communication easier for some guests. Our room was on the 5th floor, facing the street. The soundproofing is a real weakness: noise coming through the large windows was quite noticeable in the morning and affected our rest. We also noticed a problem with the sliding doors between the bedroom and the bathroom, which had come off their rails. The door stopper was loose, making it difficult to put them back properly. We reported the issue, but no action was taken. Regarding the spa, we were stopped at the entrance by a young staff member who reminded us that the spa was for adults only. We are all over 18, of course, but the way we were approached, apparently based only on our appearance, was unpleasant and could have been handled with more tact. At breakfast, the service is efficient but sometimes too quick: glasses and plates are removed immediately, which can make guests feel rushed. If you want another coffee or need another plate, you have to take new ones, which is not very practical. Despite these comments, we have a positive overall impression of the hotel. It is a beautiful establishment with many qualities. A few improvements in guest reception, communication and attention to small details would make the experience truly worthy of a hotel of this category.
