We arrived at the hotel last Saturday staying for a week with my Mrs and 7 year old daughter. The check in process was easy and good after our flight. We stayed in one of the hotels superior rooms and it didn’t disappoint, although it wasn’t the ritz it had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The rooms was always well maintained daily with fresh towels and bed made. The pool area can get quite hectic during peak hours as it is based for the kids and it can be quite loud but the atmosphere is always brilliant, the entertainment team are top class! Always keeping the children busy with pool and other activities. Goofy, Danny and Jose literally are non stop and make the stay fantastic for the kids they also host adult activities too which pass the day. Goofys cocktail class for adults is a must! There is also a much more quieter pool which is decent if you need a hour or twos peace and quiet which not many people realise when they stay, we only found it on day 4 by chance. My daughter LOVED the splash park and could have spent the whole week there! It’s a right touch for kids to have the use of that when they please. The food at the hotel is not bad but not great if your expecting high end fine dining then it won’t be the place for you however it does have a vast selection which covers all the basis. There is also Johnnys snack bar for lunchtime snacks which is decent and Johnny is a right laugh! Although we went all inclusive we headed five minutes walk up the road where we had some of the best food available in local resteraunts with outstanding views of the island. Okapi is some of the best food I’ve had! The surrounding areas of the hotel are quite hilly so good to know if you struggle in heat and hills, we rented a car for a few days to get around the north side of the island and it didn’t disappoint! A great day out to Fornells for shopping or swimming in the sea not to forget the amazing seafood on offer! Is a must! Overall this place is good value for money if you want a decent break in the sun with kids, if your expecting high end 5 star all inclusive service it won’t be the place to go however if you can look past the small bits of TLC the hotel needs and take it for what it is you will have a amazing time! The staff really do try their best for your time there and overall we enjoyed our week. Especially my 7 year old daughter. Menorca is such a beautiful island and we enjoyed filling our days with little ventures out aswell as making the most of the pool, beach and evening entertainment. Overall 4 out of 5 for me as yes there are Small issues that could be rectified (a lick of paint here or there or a few broken tiles) but overall nothing that would dampen your time there unless your a genuine Karen. Great little place with bags of fun on offer for all the family.

After reading reviews close to us going we were a bit worried what we were coming too. A lot of the reviews on here are scare mongering. Yes you do have to trek to get to your rooms but this is well advertised when booking it is in a “hillside location” but you don’t need to go back and forth all day long to your room. Food was a good variety of food every night. There is a beatiul restaurant just up the hill if you want to go out. Also the supermarket do fresh pizzas and baguettes to take away on order for really cheap. The entertainment in evening is good and goes on until 10 ish. All inclusive bar closes at 11. The pools and splash park are great not cold at all and clean. The splash park does have a few tiles missing At the bottom of the 3 slides but not dangerous that we found. Ice creams available all day. They do a special cocktail each day too. The only downside is that sun loungers are reserved by people early so we joined in and went to reserve ours around 7am and found that 70% had normally gone by then but the hotel were starting to put More out around the hotel and also down on the beach. There are parts that’ are dated but all in all a good all round family hotel. We would say it is more Like a 3* than 4*

“Hilly for buggies but worth it!”

There are a lot of negative reviews that we read that worried us after booking this (but I'm glad I didn't read these before booking as we had a fantastic time at this hotel!) We travelled with friends and between us we have three young kids (4, 3 and 2). We emailed the hotel ahead of time to request ground floor apartments close to each other and, to be fair, they did accommodate this, but our rooms were at the top of a very steep hill and it was very disheartening after travelling to lug the buggies and suitcases up such a steep incline and we doubted our decision in hotel choice! However, despite the incline, we were able to access our rooms without navigating any steps with the buggies, which is what we had requested, and there are alternative easier routes from the hill rooms directly to the main hotel site that you can take without the buggy (lots of steps). The room was very basic (no kettle/mugs/cutlery) and on arrival the sofa bed was positioned right next to our shutter doors, so was a bit of a nuisance to navigate around with a buggy, but we were able to rearrange some furniture to make it work for us. The main bedroom was spacious and the bathroom was lovely. The splash park is fantastic with something for all the ages of our group. The pools were great and clean, we preferred the quieter pool hidden away on the far side of the hotel as it had the best of both worlds in terms of water depths for the kids, and always had spare loungers, however there is no bar or toilets in this area which was a bit of a trek sometimes. The evening entertainment was OK, to be fair the kids all loved it, I just would have preferred a higher volume for better atmosphere and more table seating rather than auditorium style as we were in a group and had buggies. The hotel overall was a bit tired, and as mentioned it is very hilly, but it didn't affect our stay whatsoever. The location is stunning and our room had such lovely views. I would definitely return to this hotel so don't be put off by the negative reviews!
