This is our 9th consecutive visit to Los Príncipes. My old work colleague and I cycle Spring and Autumn and the service from Huerzeler, the attached bike station, is excellent - as is the hotel. Visiting Los Principes is like going home, the hotel has everything you need and I’m sure most of the hotels in plays de muro are the same; where los principes excels is in the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. As I said we have been visiting 2 or 3 times a year since 2021 and all the original staff are still there - evidence of a happy hotel. Can’t wait to return in April 26. P.s forgot to say the food is delicious

“A favourite escape …”

This hotel never disappoints. The setting is perfect on a lovely sandy beach with plenty of sunbeds for guests to use on a grassed area two minutes from the sea. This is our third visit. My sister and I find the rooms of a good standard with everything you need including fridge and free safe. The great restaurant offers a very wide and varied choice of breakfasts foods and dinners with lots of fresh fruit. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. There are normally only a small handful of Brits who stay here, as it’s very popular with Germans. The hotel is also ideally situated for buses and local shops.

“Familiar, easy, near everything but needs a refresh.”

We been going for 10+ years and whilst it’s a good hotel, literally in the beach with everything else at the finger tips, it’s not a 4-star hotel and some of the staff let it down. We been going for 10+ years and whilst it’s a good hotel, literally in the beach with everything else at the finger tips, it’s not a 4-star hotel and some of the staff let it down. Most a super friendly and helpful, some are a stand off-ish and offer no flexibility. Our towels go absolutely soaked Imi a flash flood by the pool, I asked if we could change them and was told to ask the towel lady and pay for the change. It’s not like I purposefully threw them in the pool. There’s no appreciation for long-term returning guests and there are simply too many other nicer competing hotels for Los Principes to be what it is and expect to be accepted as a 4-star establishment

The hotel’s location near the sea is definitely a plus, but unfortunately, many aspects did not meet expectations for a 4-star property. The staff at the reception was a bit too familiar — perhaps it’s just his personality, but it often came across as unprofessional rather than genuinely witty. The room was in poor condition: the lock on the terrace door didn’t work, and I had to use a stick to keep it closed. Definitely not up to 4-star standards. Another big downside was the extremely loud music during the day and evening. Considering that many families with small children stay here, it was quite disturbing, especially during nap times. I was also surprised to find an extra charge for using the in-room safe. In most hotels, this is included and not something you would expect to pay extra for. Breakfast coffee was awful, both in the restaurant and from the in-room coffee machine — even the cheapest Nespresso would be a huge improvement. The breakfast itself had a very limited choice of vegetables, though dinner was a bit better in this regard. As for the gym, it’s more like a tiny room. Even three people inside felt crowded. The exercise mat was full of holes and looked decades old — replacing it with a couple of cheap new ones would make a big difference. Overall, apart from the convenient seaside location, the experience was disappointing and not worth the 4-star rating. In comparison with Grupotel Parc Natural & Spa (5 stars), the difference doesn’t feel like between a 5 and a 4-star hotel, but rather like between a 5 and a 3-star one.
