We have stayed at this hotel twice (July 25 & June 26). Overall we think it's a great hotel and the view from the terrace for breakfast is a particular highlight. We also like that it is one the quieter side of the bay, meaning if you want to lie on the beach, it is not as busy as some other sections. The atmosphere is relaxed and calm and not the 'Jet2 package holiday' vibe thankfully! It isn't a stuffy hotel, but just a nice set of people and no riff-raff. The rooms are on the smaller side with little room to move around, however some of them have big terraces/balconies which makes up for it. Value-wise, it is on par with many 4 star hotels in Port Soller and places like Puerto Pollensa. We prefer this to Pollensa though, which is more family orientated. This felt a better place for couples. All the staff are professional and friendly.

We love Majorca, and we have wanted to stay on Port de Soller for a while. We picked Pure Salt for the location, the views and the 4 star rating. Pros: Location - our balcony looked over the Tramuntana Mountains. At breakfast you had a view of the beach and the town. 10 - 15 minute walk to most places. Breakfast was well catered for different tastes. Waiting staff were friendly, especially Sandra, who was brilliant and always spoke to us. Aircon in the rooms. Relaxed atmosphere. Cons: On arrival the receptionist gave us the impression she didnt really want us to be there. Okay it was 1.30am, but a smile and a welcome wouldn't of hurt. Pool food and room service food and drink was expensive for what it was. We ordered two burgers to the room, mine was fine, my wife's tastes either off, or it wasn't beef. Poke bowl at the pool was €15 for some salad and a bit of salmon. Apparently, like most resorts, you can't reserve sun beds. Well as our balcony looked over the pool, we regularly saw people venturing up early to place a towel in a lounger. Sometimes the room, even though cleaned, the floor would still be dirty, and our balcony wasnt swept all week. The biggest issue was check out day. We left our luggage with reception, who placed tags on it, then placed it in the luggage room by reception. Later when we came back from getting some food, our cases where just placed out in the reception area where anyone could take them. I even went into my case twice, and no one from reception questioned who I was or what I was doing. Overall we have a lovely stay, and i appreciate nothing is perfect, but small details matter.

We returned home today from a lovely 8 night stay here. The trip was planned as a final holiday as a two as my partner is pregnant so we picked this hotel based on the location and the fact we’d never been to that part of Mallorca before. I’ll start with the positives: The hotel is in a perfect location on the quieter side of the bay of Soller. The hotel looks well kept and is spacious in the lobby and you get fantastic views of the bay from the restaurant. We booked a sea view room which was a perfect size with a great balcony too. Rooms were cleaned daily and clean towels provided (if wanted). The pool area is peaceful and chilled, with comfy sunbeds, great views and a pool bar for drinks and food. Despite what another guest said in an earlier review, there is a toilet at the pool, you just need to look properly. The highlight of the hotel is the staff. Every one we spoke to were incredibly helpful and friendly and couldn’t do more than enough for us. I have to mention Sandra (who would bring cold towels for those round the pool every morning), Toni and Patricia who were super friendly and always greeted us with a warm smile. Now some things to improve and the reason we didn’t give 5 stars: The beds aren’t as comfy as I expected although they are a good size. You’re only provided with one pillow meaning if you want another you have to get one from reception (put spares in the cupboards). The pool area only has enough beds for around 30 guests many of which would put towels down before the pool opened and disappear for breakfast or go off for lunch for an hour or so meaning others couldn’t use them. The hotel needs to do more to prevent sunbed hogging! Lastly the hotel lift is so incredibly slow and small, I can’t believe a hotel of that size considers it acceptable. On one of the days we were there it broke so everyone had to use the stairs. With a partner who is nearly 6 months pregnant climbing 4 flights of stairs is hard going for her. Overall though this is a lovely hotel with fantastic staff. If you’re after a chilled vibe with amazing views, this is the place for you.

Location delightful, atmosphere, there was none. The whole hotel from reception to the restaurant was lacking any kind of ambience. We had a number of issues during our short 4 night stay, room left unlocked after cleaning, a phone call from the bar at 11.30pm to say could we go & sign for our drinks (which we agreed on resolving the next morning). Plus drinks being delivered to our table at dinner that weren’t for us. The staff with the exception of a few were pretty miserable, it didn’t make us feel especially welcome. The pool is small but functional & has brilliant views & the sun loungers were extremely comfortable. But, there are a fair few steps to climb to get there & there’s no toilet. So, you have to trudge back to your room each time. The food was delicious but the wait between courses was, for us, too long. 35 mins to wait for ice cream I felt was too long. The room we were allocated was very small, the smallest I think I’ve ever stayed in, not ideal for anyone. It’s an expensive hotel for what it is & with a few tweaks it could be superb but was seriously lacking in my opinion in a number of areas.

Where do i start? We got there and it's a beautiful location, stunning views and a 2 min walk to the restaurants and bars. Upon arrival, no welcome drink provided despite this being advertised. Reception staff were not friendly, made a fuss about us using two cards and our room wasn't ready - yes it was 1pm but, when you specifically ask me what time i am arriving, it kinda gets your hopes up that you will be ready for us? We made our way to the pool, only to find no sun loungers, and you could hear a pin drop, no ambient music or anything- it doesnt have to be loud but just something. Then i went to order a coke zero and they'd 'finished'- how can you run out at 1pm? I ordered £15 chicken strips which were undercooked and overpriced. We were not having a good impression by this point. I have to say the views at the pool were stunning though. We then went to our room when it was ready-no one contacted me to say it was ready despite us being told theyd whatsapp me. The room was too small for two people , we felt cramped. Also, i mentioned i was celebrating my birthday, and nothing was in the room no welcome drink or even a little something would have been nice! Really poor. We left our towels on the floor a few times and they were not replaced. The shower water didnt run down the plug hole quickly enouugh and having a long shower flooded the entire bathroom!!! There was a full length mirror but you cant use it as a chest of drawers is in its way-weird placement. On one day our card wouldnt work to let us in the room. We went down to get it sorted and noone was on reception. We waited 15 mins and had to ask bar staff, eventually after 20 mins someone who was not reception staff came and said he cant sort it out as doesnt have the password and the receptionist must be on lunch! Waited 30 mins for something so simple to be sorted is simply astonishing. The reception staff were rude to us throughout the stay apart from the woman, i am not sure what they had against us but we felt very uncomfortable during the stay. This is NOT a four star hotel. Do not expec a four star stay -we would not come back, despite the beautiful grounds and location it simply was not worth the money .
