Great experience at Flip Flop - Yes, it's a little dated and shabby in places but all areas were clean and tidy. Staff amazing, particularly with the children, and the food was tasty, fresh, and varied. We will definitely be returning! On a seperate note, Flip Flop hotels have recently been aquired by a new company - looking forward to seeing the changes, although hopefully not too many.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting, we loved every minute of our stay, friendly staff, clean rooms kept lovely and cool by the air conditioning. The food was delicious and so much choice. “Don't be put off be negative reviews or the unfortunate floods in Spain”

A fantastic setting, the beach is wonderful, the walk to the rooms is like a woodland walk and the food is freshly prepared and exceptional. A fantastic setting, the beach is wonderful, the walk to the rooms is like a woodland walk and the food is freshly prepared and exceptional. I've read peoples complaints about the rooms, but they're spotless and regularly cleaned. Complaints I've seen about food are unfounded, you get a vast selection of salad dishes and a freshly cooked grille and hot food section offering a varying range of meats, fish, vegetables and vegetarian dishes. My wife and I have been inspired to create similar dishes at home. All in all, its an all inclusive bargain in an amazing setting with incredible staff. We will be back.

Like many, I read the reviews after booking and feared the worse. The rooms are dated. Think worn mirror edges, , beds a little hard. Rooms were clean and to be honest, we quite literally just slept there so this was ifne. The resort is spread out so the main restaurant is in the building with sea views at the top of the beach which is lovely. The pool and pool bar is around 3-5 minutes walk in land and slightly uphill from the restaurant. Our room was 500+ and this was another 5 min walk from the pool bar. There is a taxi shuttle service woking around the site though. As we only went back to the room to change for dinner and to sleep, this was OK. FOOD Buffet 3 star. Better than the last 3star I stayed at by a wide margin. The kids loved the food. Breakfast, had lots to choose from from cooked options, to pancakes, pastries and fruits etc,. Lunch was slightly limited but still a decent choice. Dinner had grilled meat and fish options nad the nights we were there a different fresh roasted meat. We found the veggies were great - think buttered garlic brocolli, and slightly spiced potatoes etc,. DRINKS Yes, there is a blue cup for a 1eu deposit. This is a fabulous idea to reduce plastic waste and I expect has contributed to the overall lack of waste seen on the beach. Great idea. We also took thermal cups to keep drinks cool. Would love to see a reusable drinks vessel for the evening where plastic glasses are rife... We also found the local drinks good. helped by the soft drinks on tap being coke zero, sprite and fanta etc,. LOCATION The beach is gorgeous. Our kids played a lot of beach volleyball and made lots of friends. I was particularly impresed wit the older kids who were nothing but fabulous with younger ones. As the location feels quite secluded despite the hotel sharing the beach with the public, we found we were quite comfortable knowing the kids were on the beach whilst we were at the pool etc,. VINCINITY Not much else there. Easy 3-5min walk to get a bus to Porto Cristo - there is a Sunday market there. Reception has details on the bus etc,. HIghly recommend. It also appears that a lot of Germans visit Majorca, repeatedly. I never knew, We met. quite a few, and had a few evenings together. We found the German's like to get stuck into some of the activities organised by the staff like water polo. This definitely helped everyone get to know each other and socialise together quickly. Given the hotel a 4 star as for an affordable 3star getaway we had a fabulous time, food and drinks were decent and the kids want to go back .
