We have just returned from 13 days in this hotel having stayed before when it was hotel panorama. ( Family of 4...2 children aged 9 and 12) Firstly let me say it depends what your expectations are as to how you find this hotel. If you are expecting super dooper fancy .... its not for you. But if like me you got a good deal and it didn't cost the earth...it was good and everything we wanted (£1500 cheaper than other hotels) We booked through jet 2 and i was dissappointed that we were not put in the hotel but put in very basic apartments on the street. So learn from me.....if you go through jet 2 you will only get these apartments. If you book elsewhere if you have selected the premium apartments you will be in the hotel which is gorgeous and been done up really well. Its not as fancy as the uyal or pollentia... no where near... but it is still really nice. I'll give you the positives first 1. Staff are really nice and helpful 2. Amazing location (5 min walk to beach) 3. You get towels for pool 4. You can usually always get a sun bed if you go down by 10am. Only one day in Aug when new arrivals came we couldn't get one. But by afternoon more spare 5. Very chilled and lovely vibe. No big parties. 6. Cleaned every day. Amazing cleaning service. Negatives 1. Pool is small. Great for young kids but older kids prob need a bigger pool. 2. Water turns white swimming costumes yellow. 3. Apartments in the back of hotel need to be done up to same standard. Balcony is too small. 4. Need railings on the pool to get in and out. (They will orob get this done at some point as its all new ) If you are to go with the apartments they are fine if you just want a base. Aircon great but just not done up to standard of the main hotel. I would ask for ground floor apartment on the ones on the street as you can get a grass area there. Our balcony could only fit one person. Would i stay again. .. yes definitely and i will book direct and make sure i ask for premium apartment on second floor with balcony facing street. We stayed as a family of four split over a standard room in the main hotel and a Tramuntana apartment on a bed and breakfast basis. The standard room has been refurbished nicely but is a little tight for space especially around the bed which makes moving about a bit tricky. The bathroom is well designed and light. The balcony has everything you need and is a good size. The Tramuntana apartment mentions being in a different building, what it doesn't tell you is that it is across the road at the back of the hotel which means you need to take all your stuff with you when you want to go to the pool. The road is quite busy also. The rooms are described as "maintain their original style" which actually means they have been painted and the beds and furniture haven't been upgraded at all. The furniture has seen better days and the beds could do with being replaced. The balcony is tiny and barely fit for purpose. You had to move the chair and table to actually get two people in and the paint was flaking off. The kitchen did seem to be more modern and the plates and cutlery were all brand new. The air con did work really well but I did note a strange smell every so often. Overall it just seemed really tired but is likely to be upgraded in the next phase of improvements. Personally we loved the breakfast, lots of fresh fruit, freshly made omelettes, fried breakfast and a good selection of breads and pastries. I loved the coffee but the juices were a bit hit and miss. Some days they seemed high end and the following day it was like watered down diluting juice, very inconsistent. The pool area is currently really dangerous. Firstly it is very slippy and even with shoes you never felt safe. There is also no handles to get in and out of the pool, never mind any sort of disabled access. They have obviously narrowed the pool to get more sun beds in which has led to very little room between the beds and the edge of the pool. My only surprise is that no one fell in. They also allow glasses to be taken from the bar during the day which led to a glass being smashed and the glass falling into the pool and the surrounding area. The staff had no idea what to do and also seemed to be unaware of where a brush was kept. The staffing levels generally are very poor and at times you had to wait for ages to speak to anyone. They also run a self service check in where you scan you passport and fill in all your details, just what you don't want to do after a long days travel. This is clearly a hotel in transition as during our stay they changed all the parasols, the hotel had some form of workers there nearly every day and we had an air conditioning team changing out a unit on the floor below us, not exactly quiet work. In conclusion they have probably opened this hotel too soon and those familiar with the Hoposa brand may feel a little short changed. That said, when finished and all the teething problems have been sorted I'm sure it will be much better as it is in a great location and a great part of Majorca.

“Very noisy, very average”

Location - Great if you don’t mind walking into the port (15min walk) and plenty of free parking around the hotel if you have a car. Great location for beach access. Service - Not the best, not the worst. Definitely lacking on reception for a 4 star hotel but the lady at breakfast was very friend… more

Location - Great if you don’t mind walking into the port (15min walk) and plenty of free parking around the hotel if you have a car. Great location for beach access. Service - Not the best, not the worst. Definitely lacking on reception for a 4 star hotel but the lady at breakfast was very friendly and welcoming. Room - Nicely done up with everything you need, plenty of hanging space in wardrobes and drawers too. Unfortunately fitted with door closures that means the doors bang every time, so either take earplugs or expect to be woken up at all hours of the night. Cleanliness - Room cleaning was very inconsistent, bathroom was never cleaned in 10 days. It was generally just making beds, emptying bins and changing towels. Pool - Nicely done up, with comfy sun beds around it. Expect any white parts of your bathing suit to be yellow after a dip however. All day sun in Summer. Food - Breakfast was rather disappointing. Cooked breakfast was rarely hot and very average. Juice was not fresh and very sweet. Fruit was rarely replenished. Coffee not great either. The banging of doors day and night was enough to stop us from ever returning - the rooms need soft close hinges fitting to the doors and even then, with reception closing at 11pm, the front door would often be slamming all night with people returning and then early in the morning the noise from staff in the kitchen and breakfast area reverberated through to the rooms as well.
