“Fantastic weeks stay”

Enjoyed everything about our recent weeks stay. Hotel was in a lovely quiet location, a couple of minutes walk to the seafront., with a lovely 15/20 minutes stroll along the pine walk to the main part of town. The hotel and pool area was lovely and clean, with plenty of sun beds available. The premium suite was clean and spacious with a lovely outside terrace . Food was really good with themed evening dinners, me and the husband are really picky eaters, but we never had to eat out once. Daytime activities and evening entertainment were good, The staff were all friendly, and best of all was the free spa area which we used a few times.

This was our 4th visit. Now with a 20 Month old and 4 year old. From the moment you arrive it is a welcoming atmosphere. The entire place is clean, tidy, food is great and staff are amazing. Special thank you to Angie (yet again) Loli, Nathaly, Simons and Barbara in the restaurant who go out of their way to make the children love them. Angie remembers us amazingly. The animation team again are amazing and make such an effort. Paul, Andrea and Kiri (I’m sorry I haven’t learnt the rest of the teams names). The room we had was great, it did look a little tired in places this year - some door seals coming off etc . We had an ant issue, but accept it’s the time of year to some extent. The staff were quick to respond each time. The ants weren’t swept away as much as I would have wanted but all in all these were all small things. We had a great time. Sad to leave and I hope to be back.

Playa Mar Hotel & Spa has become one of our favourite family holiday destinations. We very rarely go back to the same place twice, but after our first visit we found ourselves returning just nine months later! From the moment you arrive, there's a really friendly atmosphere that helps you switch off and start enjoying your holiday straight away. The staff are a huge part of what makes this hotel so special. The food was excellent throughout our stay, and the restaurant team were always welcoming and attentive. We'd particularly like to thank Angie, Fredy and (I think) Alina, who always made us and our son George feel so welcome. The bar staff and the rest of the waiting team were fantastic too – friendly, hardworking and always happy to help. The animation team were brilliant once again and played a big part in making the holiday so memorable. Andrea, Stefan, Paul, Sami and Kira greeted us like old friends and brought so much energy every day. Our son absolutely loved spending time with them (especially Coco!), and they helped create some wonderful memories for him. A special mention has to go to Paul, who helped us recover an earring that my wife had lost and which has great sentimental value. Not only did he help find it, but he also arranged for it to be sent back to us in the UK. We were incredibly grateful for his help and kindness. The location is excellent too. Being right at the end of Pine Walk makes it easy to stroll into town, where there are plenty of lovely bars and restaurants. We had another fantastic stay and are already hoping to return again next year for a third visit!

I really enjoyed my time at Playa Mar and Spa - it is a good resort for young children and families. We booked a premium suite and it was very spacious with everything you would need for the break including comfy beds and pillows. Angie and Fredy in particular were super friendly at the restaurant and always took the time to high-five my daughter and welcome us. There is a big range of food on offer and it is replenished frequently which was impressive. Drinks in the all inclusive offer were very good too. The kids clubs staff that ran the entertainment were a good team - particular shout outs to Stefan, Paul and Andrea. Pools were perfect for a four year old and a good temperature. The layout of the hotel means you are close to everything you need although you can hear the entertainment in hotel rooms until 11pm which was not an issue for us and v quiet after that ends. Very close to pine walk which takes about 15 mins to walk down to the harbour. Beaches with clear water on the way to dip in. There was an issue with flying ants in the room for the first two nights but fine for the remainder of the break. Quite a lot of dead ants in the patio doors which need to be hoovered out but other than that I can't think of any improvements to suggest. I would like to return as we had a relaxing break as it is a lovely, small resort with great staff.
