We’ve just got back from a weeks stay here. On the whole we had a lovely time. The pool was very crowded and sometimes it was hard to get a sunbed as people reserved them from the night before or very early (6am). However my son had so much fun in the pool. I do think there should have been an adults water polo then a child water polo in the pool. My ten year old couldn’t even get the ball and was intercepted so many times by grown men. But he still enjoyed it. He injured himself one day and the lifeguard saw immediately and provided first aid. Another member of staff (think it was gummy bear?) came to help after and arranged a doctor for us and he was very friendly. The food and drinks were brilliant. The cocktails you paid for were delicious but even the other all inclusive drinks were nice. The hotel grounds are lovely, reception staff are very helpful (including arranging us taxis to marineland). The entertainment was hit and miss but the staff throughout the day worked very hard to keep the kids entertained! I think music/ a disco after the entertainment would have been good. The air con in the room was great and the room was very spacious. I emailed in advance for a kettle to make baby bottles which was provided prior to our arrival. To sum up we had a lovely time and didn’t want to leave!

Honest review Starting with the pros: -Big rooms with a safe and a fridge -Hotel in a quiet location with lovely views and little coves -Food is nice- better than we expected. I'm a veggie and always had a good choice of food. -Grounds are nice and mostly clean -Life guard good at attempting to enforce rules On to the cons: -Entertainment team- didn't speak to us once, I'm not sure where all these people who are saying they are the best they've ever had at a hotel have stayed before as they arent great! The shows aren't professional in the slightest. Also use fake names which I find odd! They don't ask if you want to play games etc it seems to be a select few who they speak to and invite to play games. -Cleaners take the card out of the slot so the air con goes off. Which is annoying if you're out all day and come back to a warm room -Bingo and quiz are terrible- bingo the person picked an app with only 70 numbers on not 90 so had to start again and was just repeating numbers. We went to bed 🤣 -Sunbeds- if you want more than 2 together you need to put your towel on at midnight If you get one near the bar/ toilets you get a lovely waft occasionally of the toilets 🤢 -Pool- tiny compared to the size of the hotel and the amount of people- this is obviously why they don't allow floaties. 2 big ones and the pool would be full! -Not enough sunbeds but can't have anymore due to the size of the pool area. -Not enough chairs at nighttime outside for the size of the hotel. -Not enough moving of empty glasses in the bar and outside on an evening, even when they eventually move glasses they don't wipe the tables so most are covered in water. -Pool bar has a really odd and not very nice smell (like vomit) also has a shortage of tumblers for the drinks -Cocktails from a machine- not in a proper glass on an evening (unless you pay for one that isn't on the all inclusive then I believe you get an actual cocktail!) -Bar on an evening is terrible - max 2 people serving, big queues! -No big beers and drinks only little ones. -Snack bar is just the leftover food from lunchtime. I asked at 4.30 if there would be anymore chips and they said no they won't be cooking anymore which seemed odd seen as it's open until 6 (I think) -You would think at a 4 star hotel there would be staff taking your drinks order at the table and in the restaurant too as we have had this before in 3 star hotels but this doesn't happen here. -Quite a walk to the beach, 15/20 mins if you like the beach to be on the doorstep don't stay here. Not sure how this is a 4 star hotel as it I would say it is average at best. I wouldn't recommend and we won't be back!

I will start with the Positives - lovely hotel layout and grounds, the area/location in a cove is a beautiful spot for snorkelling and paddle boarding, gorgeous beach club 5 min walk out the back with spectacular views, staff here are overall really nice and friendly and helpful, we were greeted by Charlene who is lovely, mainly clean throughout the hotel, food is good- so much choice and always the basics every mealtime for picky kids, pizza is some of the best we’ve eaten, and the theme nights are great i have to say the food in the main restaurant did not disappoint any of us we were all fed well every mealtime. Plenty of salad, fruit, nuts and cakes and extras at every service. Plenty to do, kids club, football pitch, table tennis, etc Little park across the road is cute too. 5 mins walk to The Square for bars and restaurants and 10 mins coastal (cliff edge) steppy walk to beach or take the main road with lots of shops on route. Entertainment team are good and engaging with the kids round the pool doing zumba and volley and dancing and on a night decent shows on some nights. Indoor bar area is nice and decor throughout is boho vibes very nice. San Miguel and sangria on tap and very alcoholic tasty cocktails by the pool went down well. Ice-creams help yourself all day by the pool was good for the kids. We didn’t struggle to get a sunbed any day however we did reserve them early doors. I guess if you are a late riser then you would struggle past half8 to get one, however there always seemed to be ones popping up throughout the day and after 3pm. They are all crammed together though like sardines. Pool is small and gets very busy but that wasn’t an issue for our kids. Indoor pool is really cold and refreshing. Lifeguard on duty all day. Had a lovely holiday here for 10 days with a 17, 9 and 6 yr old. Negatives - We arrived to find our family suite apparently fit for 5 to be very very small and cramped, i would say maximum 2 adults and 2 little children fine. But no way for 5. There wasn’t enough beds, they had basically put up 2 camp beds and put a sheet on the leather sofa which i personally didnt think was right so asked to be moved to a bigger room and were told all rooms were the same size, later to find out from the Jet2 rep that there were bigger rooms but none were available and added us to a waiting list. They sorted this with providing extra mattresses to add on top of the sofa to make it a bed. They were really helpful and good about it to be honest. We were later offered 2 connecting rooms but this was at a fee of €100 per night extra so we politely declined and roughed it. Did find it odd there were no wardrobes just one rail for clothes in a suitcase room. Again not enough room for 5 people’s stuff. I dont blame the hotel for this error it was not explained to us by our travel agent that the room was for 2 made up to 5. So if more than 3 of you i would say get the premier suite. We got one bottle of water on day 1 and then never got another. Assumed this would be replenished daily. However there are water stations but this is not accessible past 11pm and reception do not hold any so ensure you buy from supermarket to put in your fridge. Pool bar:- 1st day they had ran out of beer. Not a good start. 2nd day the soft drink machine was ooo 3rd day the soft drinks were all flat Most days the coffee machine was off or not working or tasted horrid. The aircon in room although worked well, dripped all over the bed / floor. The shower head did not hold up so kept flopping down when in use which was annoying. Our balcony faced directly onto the street and glass lift so lacked any privacy as people stared at us on the balcony from the road. There was an awful strong smell of urine at the back of the hotel where you enter your room. I assume coming from the pony enclosure below. There was an awful strong smell of sewers near the pool bar area. There was a horrendous stench coming from the floor drain in our bathroom every night. The toilets near the pool are in a sorry state and need attention, ladies door is swollen so much it does not close so multitasking at its finest Pulling up a wet cozzie with one hand is not an easy task! A couple of staff in the restaurant were quite abrupt and rude (lady with the glasses and plait in particular) one time she tried to take our plates when we had just sat down and told me off for using the toaster to make toast. They are very rushy rush, if you come in later (as we like to eat later on holiday) they do try to rush you out and treat you like a pain in their ass. Always a queue for eggs and pancakes in a morning and one guy doing both eggs and pancakes. Makes sense to have one doing each in busier times as this became painfully slow task to get an egg. No outdoor eating area which i found strange, or taking food out strictly anywhere which is tricky with young kids who dont want to get out the pool, get dressed and sit in a restaurant at lunch time. The back door to the snack bar was open once in our whole stay so no way of sneaking food out that way. The snacks available at the pool bar consisted of warm melon or soggy sarnies so bit of a con that snacks are available all day. I understand they dont want plates and glass outside but they could provide plastic plates at lunch time. Not enough staff on the bars, 2 on a night to 40 odd customers queuing is not enough we gave up most nights and went to the square for the show there just so we could get a drink. 1 guy on pool bar so constant queue all day till eventually runs out of cups. One day we all got the kids collecting them. But lazy ass people hoarding 47 cups under their sun beds yet going back to the bar every 5 mins! Javi and the older bar man were lovely guys and worked their asses off in that bar all day. Disappointing that the pool bar closes at 6 but some nights they gave up by half 5 and still people there wanting drinks so should stay open really. Entertainment is hit and miss, some nights were fantastic and some nights were just dead with no atmosphere and seemed like the pool guys were winging it. We did wonder if they had issues with the sound tech as it was far too quiet but poss intentional but sounded like it was drifting in and out when singing. MJ night was great as was the acrobatic show. There was a silks and hoops show during the day when we arrived but never saw it happen again. As i say hit and miss. Overall i would say its a nice family hotel in a gorgeous location but needs more staff on bars and some areas need attention. Location is good for everything you need for a family holiday. We stayed at Fergus Magaluf last year and this is not a patch on there however much nicer location.l I found myself comparing everything to there as i absolutely could not fault that place for we loved it. However as i told Adam the rep, we did enjoy our holiday barring a few little hiccups i would fully recommend it in the right size room for your family.
