“Fantastic best holiday”

Myself and my partner wanted a relaxing 5 star experience. And that's exactly what we got . Food was amazing and staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel also hired us a vehicle which was only 55euro it was quick and easy drop off . will definitely be going back in the future.

We have been to many 5* hotels. But this was our choice as it’s a special year. Hotel is stunning and food amazing. But they’ve let themselves down by the silly rules they have. Absolutely nothing but full length trousers for men in dining room. If you don’t have any, then you don’t eat. Simple! No wrist bands so you are asked for your room and board every single time you order a drink or food. To access the spa pool you will have to wear a shower cap on your head. Seems ridiculous when people are coming in from the beach and getting sand in the pool. Also, a naked man was able to access the pool and they have a problem with head hair? Doesn’t make sense! Yuk!! The entertainment was awful! I know this hotel is 5* plus, but the entertainment was far too cultured for its own good and not entertaining. We had a violinist one night. My brother in law wasn’t well one morning and didn’t come down to breakfast. So we took a plate of pastries and some tea bags with us when we left the buffet restaurant. We were stopped and told we were not able to take anything to the room. Obviously we pleaded our case and we were able to take something at that time only. Rules rules rules!! Not good! Also, not the hotels fault but the surrounding area is awful. Derelict buildings and graffiti everywhere. Doesn’t give a good impression when entering Corallejo. Don’t think I’d go back to Fuerteventura.

We have just returned from a week all inclusive at this resort. It was exactly what we wanted, a luxurious and relaxing stay. The rooms are spacious and very clean, the cleaners appear to never stop and are always in the corridors with their trolleys and restocking the minibar in the room. The hotel feels very safe- I left my expensive handbag in the restaurant and it was handed in to reception with all my things inside. There is a lot of choice for food however it is a bit of a pain trying to book the restaurants as they get fully booked immediately. We only tried two of them as we were sick of trying to book the others. All the food was lovely though and the buffet had so much choice. I don’t drink a lot but the few times I did it was all branded spirits and very generous servings. The pool bar is the only real criticism we had. The waitresses were lovely but there wasn’t enough of them so we had to go to the bar to order drinks. The bar staff weren’t happy with that and made it clear (slamming the drinks down or ignoring you completely). One day I was by the pool from 10 - 2pm and was only offered one drink which is not good when in the sun. A self serve soft drink dispenser or a fridge stocked with bottled water would have solved this. It’s a short walk to a shop for snacks and about half an hour into the town. The beach walk is lovely but you can go via the streets if you need the shade. I think it’s about 5 euro in a taxi but we always walked. The only other thing that’s lacking is a snack bar or ice cream bar. Some lunchtime’s we didn’t need a big meal but that’s the only option available but that’s only a minor thing. Great hotel for relaxation I would recommend.

I want to start out this review by saying that this hotel is fine, there is nothing extremely bad or terrible about it, it’s just fine. But when you pay for a 5 star hotel you want more than ‘fine’. I’ll start out with the positives: - the hotel from the sea front side is impressive, it looks like a place that you would be pleased to stay out - the quality of the food at the seaside grill was brilliant - the spa treatments were great, top quality - breakfast quality was good - taxis into town were very easy to get, the hotel managed to get these within minutes Now to the not so great: - I had seen on other reviews that the hotel didn’t have much around the area and it would be a 15 min walk to town which I had prepared for, I wrong assumed that this was because the hotel was on the seafront. However, what was failed to be mentioned was that there was a 15 min walk as everything else had closed . I would equate this to being the lone survivors in a zombie movie. Not the hotels fault but still worth mentioning. - One of the main attractions of the hotel was the restaurant that goes above the sea. However to my surprise this was closed the whole time of our visit. When I asked at reception I was told that this was open ‘pro rota’ as per their website. However, I would have assumed that this would mean it was closed for the winter, not visiting in MAY. I asked when this was open and they said July! This was also never mentioned on check in? They were very keen for us for pay €30 extra per day per room to upgrade to a seafront room but no mention that this restaurant was not open. - The friendliness of the staff was inconsistent. The reception staff and the spa staff were lovely, very friendly and had a laugh with us. The bar staff took some warming up, however I put this down to the fact that they were massively understaffed, more on that later. The seaside grill staff were very rude, bar Andres, it seemed like an inconvenience that we wanted to eat and pay at their restaurant. We dared to try and eat at the sea view side one day and were scoffed at as they were full, no offer of suggesting we eat at the pool side or inside. - The bar area, for a hotel of over 200 rooms was tiny. We went in May, I would hate to see how busy and lack of seating it would be in the supposed peak season of July. The entertainment was truly, shockingly bad. - Pool area- The sunloungers were inconsistent with comfort, either a comfortable seat or rock hard one. There was also a large amount of pigeons. It was also super hard to get a drink. If I was all inclusive I would have been very unhappy, I think I saw one waitress the whole time I was there walking round serving drinks. The ‘pool bar’ was actually the restaurant inside. - There was no where which you could buy an ice cream, which I know for an adult hotel might not be priority but also shouldn’t be unusual for a hotel in the Canaries?? The whole hotel just felt on the brink of being closed down, whilst it was well maintained in appearance, there were definitely cut backs. Gardners and maids replaced with robots. As I started off by saying, if you want to stay here then you will be a fine time. Will you have the 5 star experience that you paid for and expected? No.
