Had a lovely relaxing couples break at Golden Beach. Was very quiet in May plenty of sun beds round the pool. Some activities Aqua and a stretch class a couple of times a week. Food was fine staff were all really helpful and lovely. Nice beach 5-10 min walk. There is an African market Wednesday and Sunday about 10 min walk away worth going for fake bags wallets belts T shirts etc make sure you barter! Oasis Wildlife park is nearby too and really worth a visit you can feed Giraffes Camels and Lamas. We had a camel ride too. There is a bus you pay a few euros for. We got a taxi was 16 euros each way. I would definitely recommend the hotel the area is fairly quiet if that’s what you want.

Lovely relaxing stay, check in very easy and lovely lady behind the desk spoke very good English. We opted for a swim up room well worth the extra money, we had room 104 and the sun was on us all day. Clean room and no complaints on the hot water for the shower. Beds were fine though I would ask for another pillow. The main pool was a good size with lots of sun beds and umbrellas. Reception couldn’t help you enough always smiling and on call 24/7. The cleaners came in daily and put tea and coffee out for you and mop the floors very friendly and were always smiling. A little shout out to the shop in the hotel 1euro for a can of drink and sells cigarettes if your a smoker. smoking is allowed and reception will happily give you an ash tray, even smoking sound the pool. Food was ok to be fair, plenty of choice for adults but nothing really except pizza and chips for children. We arrived just as they changed from adult only to family. I would not recommend this with children, nothing set up for them as yet and I think you would spend most your holiday trying to find something to entertain them with. Also lots of steps in the hotel and only 1 lift. No kids club, no park, no splash pool, no child friendly entertainment( not forgetting you can smoke outside literally anywhere) . There is a tennis court for older children but I think they would be very bored. The beach was not 5 mins away unless your an Olympic speed walker. It was a choice of a very steep hill or lots of steps ( steps were definitely easier). A few restaurants within walking distance 2 supermarkets and on our last day we found out the hotel next door has a spa. Not a lot to do but chill.

Not a hotel for families as not equipped or safe for children. This was booked as a adults only hotel but changed to family hotel just before going. No children's pool and the bar area outside can be dangerous for children as children will play and climb were walls outside bar area are very high with no protection to stop small children falling. Please be aware when in bar area where entrainment in the evening are. Not child friendly environment.

We recently stayed at BlueSea Golden Beach in Fuerteventura and overall had a mixed experience. There were definitely positives, but also a few negatives that we felt. The location is good, close to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants, making it easy to get around. The pool area was clean, well maintained and always looked tidy. We also liked the reusable cup system at the pool bar you pay €1 for a cup and exchange it for a fresh one each time, which is actually a really good idea and cuts down on waste. The staff overall were polite and friendly, especially most of the reception and restaurant staff. The food was okay with plenty of choice available each day, and breakfast was by far the best meal selection in our opinion. The pool bar snacks however were extremely limited. The hotel itself is a little dated in places and could benefit from some maintenance. Our bathroom towels were not renewed all week, which was disappointing, and the rainfall shower head could definitely do with a good scrub as it looked quite neglected. One thing worth knowing is the pool towel system — towels require a €10 deposit each, and if you want a fresh towel during your stay it costs €1 every time you exchange it. The main issue we experienced was regarding late checkout on our final day. Our evening flight home wasn’t until 8pm, so we still had a full day at the hotel. The hotel information states that late checkout can be requested 1–2 days before departure if available. We went to reception around 9pm on the Thursday evening and were advised by a lovely member of staff to come back in the morning, but were told it would likely be fine. We were informed the cost would be €40 until 3pm. The following morning around 10am, we spoke to a gentleman on reception who was extremely rude. As soon as we asked, he simply said “No.” We explained our conversation from the previous evening and he responded with “That does not matter, the hotel is full.” This honestly did not seem true at all and the whole interaction felt unnecessarily dismissive and unhelpful. After an hour or so we returned to ask what facilities would be available for guests with later flights. We were told checkout was at 12pm, to leave our suitcases under the stairs with no locked room or secure area, and that we could put our names on a list for a 30-minute shower slot in a spare room later on. The whole situation did not sit well with us and left a bad feeling. Later that evening, once the gentleman was no longer on shift, we returned to reception and spoke with the same friendly lady from the night before. She immediately said late checkout was absolutely no problem, took the €40 payment and even seemed genuinely shocked and apologetic when we explained what had happened earlier. She confirmed she would need to speak to him about it. It was a completely unnecessary situation and unfortunately it did leave a bad taste in our mouths at the end of the holiday. We still do not understand why the earlier request was handled the way it was. Overall, this hotel is decent value for money if you are booking a budget holiday and mainly want a good location with friendly staff and decent facilities. However, there are definitely areas that need improvement, particularly consistency of customer service and attention to detail with cleanliness and housekeeping.
