“Nice Hotel”

The hotel is situated in a good location - right on the seafront and not far from shops and bars. We (2 couples) stayed for 1 week from 15/5 on an all inclusive basis. Our ages range from late fifties to early seventies and a large proportion of the guests appeared to be in this age range. RECEPTION/CHECK-IN When you walk into the hotel it looks lovely - there are lots of ferns hanging from the balconies and you can see down to the bar area below which is surrounded by a pond and lots of greenery - it's very pretty. Check-in, although not the warmest of welcomes, was very efficient. ROOM The room and en-suite were very clean and nice. The bed and pillows were comfortable. There was tea/coffee making facilities with milk ,tea bags, coffee and sugar supplied and a bottle of water. The milk etc wasn't replenished but there is a Spar across the road for supplies. The balcony had pool and sea views. There was no bath in the ensuite only a shower which was very powerful BAR The bar area is lovely: The bar and a small seating area around it is circular and revolves slowly. It's surrounded by a pond containing small fish and there are plants all around. Waiter service was sometimes slow when they were busy but you can go up to the bar, although you're only allowed to get 2 drinks at a time so if you're with a group it can mean a few trips! The bar staff and waiters work very hard and were always friendly and polite. The bar area gets very busy early in the evening and all the best seats are taken early but there's plenty of seating outside. ENTERTAINMENT Entertainment was held in the bar area. Not a massive fan of hotel entertainment and found it a bit hit and miss. However, a lot of people appeared to be enjoying it and some of the singers were good. POOL AREA Plenty of sunbeds. The hotel didn't appear to enforce the no reserving sunbeds with towels rule so most of them were taken at the crack of dawn. However, we never had a problem getting 4 together. The pool bar was a nice area to sit and relax. Roland from the Animation Team was a character - I was amazed at his energy. He seemed to be on the go all day with Aqua Aerobics; pool games; music quizzes; archery; golf etc. There was no pressure to join in and it was good fun to watch. There were 2 pools, one of which was heated and the temperature was absolutely perfect. The other pool wasn't heated. There is a gate at the back of the pool area for access to the beach. RESTAURANT During our stay the buffet restaurant was being refurbished so an area was sectioned off. There was no inconvenience from this but the food areas did seem to be a bit disjointed which we assumed was due to the refurb. There was a small seating area outside which we felt could have been bigger. The food was generally very good. Lots of choice. Eggs/omelettes at breakfast cooked to order and the usual bacon, tomatoes, beans etc along with a selection of cold meat, cheese, cereals, fruit, yoghurt etc. The fresh bread was good. Sometimes the beans weren't overly hot but nothing a quick blast in the microwave couldn't sort out! It's been mentioned in other reviews that dinner/lunch is mostly pork - most days there were pork dishes but there were other things to choose from - chicken, fish in various sauces which were very good. The rice dishes were good as were the Canarian potatoes. The salads were also good. During our stay there there were lamb chops, duck, steak, turkey, chicken and fish freshly cooked at the outside grill area but if you didn't fancy any of that there was always pasta and pizza. I did try a slice of pizza one lunch time and it was very good. Service was good in the restaurant - the staff work very hard and were always polite and friendly. We enjoyed our week at this hotel - Just a small negative: We politely enquired whether it would be possible to have a later checkout on the last day. We were told we couldn't, which was absolutely fine, we understand it's not always possible However, we did find the receptionist rather brusque - It was only a small thing but a polite answer and smile goes a long way to leaving a good impression of the hotel.

Hotel is amazing. Spotless, great location, everything on your doorstep, staff very friendly and nothing is to much trouble. Treat them like human beings and they will do the same with you. Hotel is amazing. Spotless, great location, everything on your doorstep, staff very friendly and nothing is to much trouble. Treat them like human beings and they will do the same with you. Beachfront location. Use your key card at the gate at the back for access. Fish swim around your legs. Feed them bread or bananas. My daughter thought this was amazing ❤️ Restaurant in now finished refurbishment and is fully open. Cooking stations and plenty of choices. People need to remember it is a buffet and it may not be as hot as they would like...use the microwave!!! Problem solved 🙄 Replenishing is a bit slow but get something then go back up again. No complaints food wise. Some areas around the pool need refurbishment. But I do believe they are starting that soon. Evening entertainment is variable but they do an amazing job. Could do with more bar staff or staff serving you drinks at the table. Can be a bit slow but not the end of the world. You're on holiday just relax and go with the flow. We will definitely be back here (this was our 1st visit) We have had the best holiday. 2 days left 😪 Thank you to all the staff who have made this a memorable holiday ❤️🌞

“Fantastic hotel great location”

Great location on beach front close to all amenities bars shops restaurants rooms quite spacious very clean and comfortable loads of activities for all ages good evening entertainment all staff very friendly food was lovely we had a fantastic relaxing holiday highly recommend

My husband and I travelled in early May for 7 nights. Hotel reception staff are very helpful and very efficient. The rooms are clean and spacious (we weren’t club,) safe in the room but it is chargeable, there is a fridge in the room which does stay cold and the bathrooms are clean and tidy. There is a hairdryer on the wall which works well.Bathroom towels are a little on the small side but that’s being picky! Poolside is kept clean and most importantly, plenty of sun beds for all. Pool towels are provided for a deposit of 10 euros each. Pool bar is a bit small for the size of the hotel and it could do with having a better self serve snack selection. Some areas around the pool are tired and need work doing. This is being done in stages but people are not happy if work being done so complain. It’s difficult for the hotel to balance a good experience and good maintenance when they are open all year round. Little tip, sit further away from the bar if you don’t want to hear the noise from the maintenance!! There are designated smoking areas which is great if you don’t want that smell all day long although not everyone sticks to the smoking spots. The private gate to the beach is a great touch but don’t get caught out with the beach loungers. 17 euros for two beds for the day, they are not part of the hotel package. Don’t be put off and do go to the beach, feeding the fish in the bay is a must Nighttime entertainment is really good, something for everyone as they have 3-4 different acts per evening The bar selection is great and the bar staff are not shy with the measures! Take a water bottle with you, there are fresh water fountains all over the hotel. The coffee is really bad so if you cherish your first cup of the day, take your own! Right FOOD.. Ignore the bad comments. The food is good. It’s not table service cuisine but it is cooked fresh and tastes great. There is something for everyone even if you just want pizza and chips. There is a lovely selection of fruit and salads each meal time and lots of fresh fish too. The food IS hot and I would say that those who are saying they have tummy issues are more likely to be the ones spending too much time in the sun with more larger than water. All in this hotel is a lovely place to visit and definitely worth paying the extra rather than going to cheaper hotels further along the coast!
