What a gem of a hotel this is! Wanted a quiet, relaxed short break and that’s certainly what we got. We arrived to a lovely welcome at reception. We were given directions to our room. It was lovely! We were given a family room (just two of us). Two double bedrooms, dining table/kitchenette with lounge area. Tv, fully equipped kitchen, hairdryer, gorgeous terrace overlooking the pool. The food was great, full English if you want it. Continental, fruit, croissants etc at breakfast. Lunch and dinner had a great choice, something for the fussiest of eaters at all times. Plus a Chinese you can just go to when you want and an Italian you need to book. This was in my opinion very disappointing. It was just a few tables crammed into a corner. The Chinese food however was lovely. Entertainment in the Galleon Bar was good. We really enjoyed it in there. Gorgeous pools, loads of sun-beds. Location was fabulous. Close to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants. Beautiful long walk along the promenade. Would we return? Absolutely in an heartbeat. The only hotel I’ve ever had message me during my stay to check all is well. Top marks!

Just back from a 7 nights All Inclusive stay at the Los Zocos (family of 5 including a 7 yr old and 4 yr old) . The weather was great - sunny, hot and definiteky a change from the weather in the UK 😁 There a a couple of shops either side of the hotel. Found the resort to be a fairly large resort with plenty of seated areas, loads of sunbeds and a couple of eating areas. The main buffet restaurant was well run, clean and the staff were pleasant, attentive and efficient when clearing plates, cups etc from the tables. Food choice was good and replenished, quickly - we had no problems finding something to eat. There is a Snack Shack by the main pool that offered burgers, chips, hotdogs etc so if you felt peckish inbetween meals, here was your go to place. Pool areas were well kept having the main pool by the restaurant and another pool located inbetween some blocks of apartments which had its own bar (no food) . Both were clean and inviting with a lifeguard present. Aqua Marina club had entertainment on for the kids plus there was an arcade attached to this room. Adult entertainment was also provided on occasions. A nice area to have a drink while the kids were entertained. The AI drinks were ok but the list of what was available was not extensive. Our room was right at the other end of the complex which I found challenging due to a mobility problem but I managed this as they had given me a ground floor room that I had requested. I believe the resort does cater for people with disabilities and have specific rooms available for people in wheelchairs. I saw a number of people using this equipment in resort. The room (2142) was quite big with a separate bedroom area with a double bed. The 3rd bed was in the living room and was a sofa bed. Kitchen area was not the biggest but kettle, toaster, table/benches were available. The terrace at the back of the room was the biggest we have ever had on holiday. 4 chairs and a table plus 2 bigger chairs that you could alter the position. This room is at the top of the resort by a small play area and mini golf. The rooms were cleaned every day ( fairly good) and towels changed. We left dirty towels in the shower area if we needed them changed. You are approx 100 metres from a good sized shopping centre and at the back of this shopping centre is the beach. Some of the beach has rocky areas but if you walk round approx another 50m you find a lovely sandy area. There are cafes, restaurants and other shops in the beach area. The beach was lovely but you do get "sellers" that constantly come to you to buy there goods. All in all we really enjoyed our stay at the Los Zocos and would return.

All in all we were happy with Los Zocos - not blown away but not disappointed. Highlights: Location - perfect for access to bars, restaurants, beach & shops Room - we stayed in Family Suite which was really spacious with huge balcony with lots of seating including sun loungers. Pool & grounds - great to have separate activity pool & quiet pool. If you like loud music all day & games etc then you can go for that option, if not then you can enjoy a quieter option - still kids having fun & bit of background music from the kiosk bar. Plenty of sun loungers & didn’t feel over-crowded (in April). Yes the pools are cold but only for 30 seconds & on a hot day they’re perfect to cool off. Layout of hotel & maintenance of grounds very good. Room for improvement: Some fixtures & fittings in our room need bit of tidy up/fix up and some of the bath towels have seen better days. Sheets weren’t changed in 8 days (although I’m sure they would have been if we’d asked) and daily cleaning was quite basic. Food in pool bar really poor - much better in buffet. Cocktails not great (except in Galleon bar) but does make service quicker. A solid choice - particularly for families with young kids - but needs to do a bit of work to maintain 4 star rating.

Pros: Close to the centre Decent food Ice lollies served for free Cons: The rooms are tired The quiet pool is far from quiet You have to pay for a safe -Rooms- The rooms have seen better days. They're rough around the edges. One of our bed sheets had big holes in and no one bothered to change them even though they were clearly visible on the bed. It also looked like it needed a good deep clean. The skirtings were dusty. The sofa was bitty, there was what looked like sand round the bathroom door frame on the floor. The room however is large. Beds and pillows are decent. Balconies standard but there are relax chairs out there and 2 washing lines which is good. Annoying you have to pay for a safe in a 4* Hotel. It wasn't cheap either. 30€ odd. -Hotel- The hotel itself is nice with a nice entry lobby. Staff are pleasant enough. There are 2 big pools. One is advertised as quiet. It isnt. As soon as the other pool gets full, everyone comes round the quiet pool and it got very loud while we were there. There's a nice gym, mini golf and nice grounds. -Location- This is one of the biggest highlights of the hotel. Just opposite a little shopping complex and a short walk from the beach bars and squares. -Food and Drink- The food we found decent. The oriental buffet was particularly good and we enjoyed the a la carte. The pool bar serves the usual snacks in the day buffet style. One nice touch was that you could get ice lollies. The pool bars are open in the day and the others at night. The Gallion gathered a bit of a queue because the cocktails were made fresh. Its really cold in there in an evening. They do have patio heaters. The main bar never really had a big queue. The cocktails are pre mixed in pouring jugs which is fine with me as it means the bar is quicker. -Entertainment- The entertainment was standard. Quite child orientated but this was the main clientele at the hotel when we were there. The main room gets busy quick so you need to get in and get a seat. -Would We Return- Probably not. The hotel wasn't horrendous just not suited to us. If you're here with kids, you would likely have a different perspective.
