We travelled as a family of four with two teens aged 17 and 14. Upon arrival, we received a fantastic welcome from the reception staff with champagne on offer and staff ready to help with luggage and explaining the hotel facilities. I’d like to thank Szilvia at reception for helping to arrange the facilities we requested in advance and her courtesy over numerous emails and calls before we arrived. We stayed in two adjacent pool side rooms with direct access to the main swimming pool. These were exceptional and well worth the price as you have your own terrace with sun loungers and personal access to the pool. Access to the public beach is easy and less than 5mins from the pool. There are no facilities to buy snacks or drinks at the beach which is a bit of a pain, but like all beaches on the island this is public and not linked to the hotel. The food at the hotel is truly excellent with a wide range of choice and different nightly themes. The grill included lobster, steak and a selection of freshly caught fish. The all inclusive package is well worth it, branded spirits are on offer as well as good quality wine. Snacks and ice creams from the pool bar are very good, and coffee from the Star cafe is barista quality. Overall we are very happy with our stay and will certainly return to Iberostar Palace if visiting Fuerteventura again. The staff are all very friendly and willing to help, food exceptional, location and amenities 5 star!

We've stayed in numerous Iberostar Hotels in the Canary Islands over the years (Lanzarote & Tenerife) and this is our favourite. We are a family of 4 with two older boys(18 & 15). This hotel is ideal for couples, friends & families with older teens. If you're looking for a family holiday with younger kids that require lots of organised activities, I would recommend the sister hotel (right beside it). The hotel is about 1 hour 15 min taxi from the airport but worth the journey. The beach, the pools, the food & the staff were all top drawer. The only drawback we had was the receptionist wasn't great at check in. She provided very little information & seemed confused by the whole cheek in process. But I think we were just unlucky as the rest of the staff were great for the rest of our holiday.

Just returned from a two week stay at this hotel and had a very relaxing break. Firstly, the reception staff were very friendly and happy to help . We were taken to our room via a porter and made to feel very special. He even popped in and got us a bottle of champagne as a welcome. We upgraded to a side sea view room and we were not disappointed, our room number was 1048 ground floor with beautiful views. The animation team were very friendly and if there was activities around the pool, always made everyone welcome. The main buffet restaurant was on the same level as the hotel bar, there was always plenty of choice. My only complaint was that I had chicken one lunch time from the counter where the chefs cook it for you and it was still pink in the middle ( luckily I didn’t eat it). I did make the waitress aware and she apologised to me. The pool snack bar which done tapas was nice for a change sometimes ( at lunch time). However, one time I ate from there with my partner and I was extremely ill starting with stomach cramps in the late afternoon then was ill all evening. The only thing I ate different was the prawn on top of the prawn salad. Just just be aware! This is the only reason I have dropped a point for this hotel! The Japanese restaurant was great we throughly enjoyed the experience. We also ate in the evening at the restaurant by the pool ( sorry can’t remember the name). This was a taster menu , however there was no menu at the table so couldn’t even tell you what we ate 😂. There was no choice / or we weren’t given a choice the food just got brought out to us. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk to the shops and a 35 minute walk from the sweet little morro Jable. The beach is fantastic , clean and beautiful blue sea. However, be warned there are naked Germans bathing on the beach. Not always in the designated area! Which personally if I had children with me, would have put me off.
