I’m writing this review as we are almost leaving for our flight. Seen a lot of negative comments and not sure what people expect for the price they pay. As for us, the apartment was nice and clean ( housekeeping visited everyday) . Food was also nice, there was not a massive choice but everything I picked was tasty. Reception lady was very polite and helpful. Location is very close to local beaches and first and foremost, it is quiet.

I was hesitant as I’d gotten an email saying some construction was taking place. There was zero need to worry, it was at the very front terrace of the hotel, no noise, no dust, I probably wouldn’t have even noticed if I hadn’t been informed. The resort is wonderful not a blocky hotel but built into the cliff in a natural way. It’s like a little maze but would not be good for anyone with mobility issues. The food and facilities were amazing as were the staff, especially the bartender Hector. The sea view was magical. Highly recommend

We have come back for a second year running, because I honestly feel that last years pro's outweighed the con's at a very affordable price for a family holiday. I am quite mobile and can deal with the unusual lay out and the steep hills and would have to say that the food is okay with a lot of choice and plenty of fruit and desserts. The facilities are good, two pools (which you can use whenever you want) two restaurants, 3 bars. Including a Beach Bar where you're served in glass and not plastic. Comfortable rooms, comfortable beds, good Air con, big balconies. The location is ideal, 5 mins to Puerto Rico by coach or Taxi. 15 mins from Anfi Beach by foot. Access to the River Ferry at Anfi, so all in all you can't really complain about the fundamentals. But here's what you find out when you're here. There is something that just isn't quite right about this place. A reason why it's so cheap. A catch. It's like it could be so much better with the odd tweak here and there and last year they were putting in a new lift by the Beach Bar and this year they're putting in a balcony outside the Restaurant area. But for some reason looking after the guests who are here now and looking to have a really enjoyable holiday, are being left to feel dissatisfied. The powers that be seem to want to sap all of the atmosphere out of the place. Almost like they don't want you here. Or maybe without wanting to turn it into something else, it appears that they don't like the Brits! There is no music by the Pools, limited entertainment, although Mikel is very friendly and does his best. And some staff (a select few) who appear to enjoy upsetting guests. Buy will never seem to target the locals and instead tend to roll out the red carpet. There are often areas in the bars and restaurant reserved for local guests, who smoke at the tables and use the cups as Ash trays. There is one particular lifeguard who is never at his platform. He is always at the bar or in the restaurant filling up his plate and walks around with the most unfriendliest look on his face, just waiting for the new guests to arrive and just after they have blown up balls and rings for their kids to play with, he will come over and tell them NOT ALLOWED in a very aggressive and confrontational manner. And If you try to explain how you didn't realise, he will get Google Translate up on his phone and order you to go down to Reception. If you don't go down, then he will threaten guests with Police action in front of scared out of their mind young children. This Guy is on a massive Power Trip! We've also experienced another issue this year. The Gym which is situated on the 9th floor and is really not in an ideal location. It's on the same floor as the Table Tennis, Pool Table and Air Hockey Machine. (Also stupidly located as the Table Tennis Balls are lost almost instantly by going off the table and falling down the side of the Cliff face never to be seen again) But the real problem is that you have to go this way as its where the bridge that joins the two buildings together and also has a ramp for pushchair and wheelchair access. So you have to walk through the Gym, or walk around the Games Machines in order to walk past. It's unavoidable and anyone with kids will know, that if they see something like this infront of them, they will be inquisitive and there is a very good chance that they will press buttons and pick up things like Dumbbells. To my absolute disgust, I had an issue with a member of staff who told me his name is Adonis. He works in the office next to Reception. I don't know what position he holds because he wasn't wearing any name tag. He decided to deal with a complaint about children using the Gym and took it upon himself to shout at my 11 year old son and his friends, telling them how this was their last warning and that if they were found in the Gym again then they were in Big Trouble. And so this results in my son being absolutely petrified, sheepishly coming up to see me and sitting in silence and stuttering his words. He then tells me that he must've done something so wrong that the Police might be coming to arrest him. So I couldn't allow that and wanted to hear why someone would deal with an incident in this way and not choose to ask my son to get me to come down. But it's simple, Adonis is another one on a power trip and enjoys bullying young children. When I made my way down to Reception to speak to Adonis he was hiding out the back. He was then totally unapologetic and had no issue in choosing to speak to an 11 year old child like this. He then went on about how only persons over the age of 16 were permitted to use the Gym and when I have tried to explain to him that kids didn't understand as there was no signage to say this, he flipped it by basically calling me an irresponsible parent. So I told him how we were guests in the Hotel and and how I didn't appreciate him speaking to me or my son like this. He then demanded that I told him who I booked this holiday through and what my room number is. Which I found very threatening and unnerving and will be speaking to my holiday rep about this. I know the above may not be the place to have a rant. But hopefully someone will read the above and make the choice as to whether this is the holiday for them. I thought it was for me, as we booked for a second year. But we won't be booking for a third time!
